Inside the CIA headquarters, Lancelot sat casually in his metallic chair, idly twirling a high-explosive grenade between his fingers.

In front of him, the elite mutants were arrayed on either side: King of Cards Remy LeBeau, Silver Fox Kara, Tank Fred, Phantom John, Robot Bradley, Mystique Raven, Toad Matthew, and Fishman Jack.

"Bradley, what's the situation at Xavier's mansion?" Lancelot glanced at Bradley while disengaging the grenade's safety pin.

Boom.

The grenade exploded instantly—but all the energy was blocked by Lancelot's hands and absorbed into his body. A look of serene satisfaction spread across his face.

"I didn't expect energy absorption to feel like this." Feeling his cells strengthening, Lancelot smiled.

After absorbing the grenade's energy, he felt his cells charging, their mass and durability significantly enhanced.

"Sir, the X-Men at Xavier's mansion have completed their special training and are ready to deploy to international waters near Cuba," Bradley reported excitedly.

"Raven, what about the Hellfire Club?" Lancelot nodded slightly and turned to Raven.

"The Hellfire Club's nuclear submarine is in Cuban waters. White Queen Emma is monitoring Hei Di Xiao's movements," Raven replied swiftly.

"Excellent. The first battle has finally begun." Lancelot's ruby-red eyes swept across the assembled mutants. This time, he would personally take the field—this was his battlefield.

At Xavier's mansion, Professor X and the X-Men were preparing to depart when they realized Beast, Hank, was missing. Almost instantly, Professor X located him via telepathy.

All eyes fell on the blue-haired gorilla before them. After a brief silence, they exchanged glances.

"That wasn't a mutant suppressant… it's mutant growth hormone. Looks like Mr. Lancelot knew exactly what it would do," Hank, transformed into the blue-haired Beast, said wryly.

Two days earlier, Hank McCoy had resolved to renounce his mutant identity and embrace humanity.

Without hesitation, he injected what he believed to be a mutant suppressant—only to trigger his transformation into the Beast.

As a Beast, Hank's mind became sharper yet more volatile, his intelligence and cognitive speed both enhanced.

Laugh.

While boarding the supersonic jet, Beast Hank inadvertently injected Wolverine Logan with the mutant growth hormone.

Soon, Professor X and the others watched as Wolverine transformed into a five-meter-long giant wolf, his once-rusted claws gleaming cold and metallic under the hormone's effect.

Shortly after the jet took off, unexpected intruders reached Xavier's mansion.

Dr. Leonard led a team of neuroscientists. Once inside, they began searching for all of Beast Hank's experimental notes, including blueprints for a brainwave-enhancing device.

"Hurry! We need to master the brainwave amplifier before Professor X returns," Dr. Leonard urged, studying the device relentlessly.

"Sir, Dr. Leonard has found the brainwave amplifier," Bradley reported from CIA headquarters.

"Let's move. It's time." Lancelot nodded and glanced at Phantom John.

The mutants surrounding Lancelot instantly formed a circle. In a flash, Lancelot and his team vanished from the CIA building.

In the international waters near Cuba, aboard the Soviet fleet's flagship, Lancelot and his team appeared instantly.

General Oliviera Peter Love, the fleet commander, was taken aback. But upon seeing Lancelot, he bowed respectfully.

"My king, Lancelot."

"Where's Emma?" Lancelot asked casually, glancing at Oliviera.

"She's on another ship," the general replied. Unknown to anyone, Oliviera had already been controlled by Lancelot's Geass. Until Lancelot released him—or until he died—Oliviera was bound to obey.

"John, bring Emma here." Lancelot sat solemnly in the captain's chair, issuing his command to the illusory John.

Ping. Ping.

Phantom John blinked twice, reappearing alongside White Queen Emma.

Emma wore a stunning military uniform. Her figure was both alluring and heroic, exuding confidence and strength.

"Lancelot… my king… you've changed," Emma said, rushing into his arms. She had seen through him at first glance—she realized the man before her was no longer the same.

"Emma, thank you for your tireless work." Lancelot patted her lightly, then turned serious.

Recently, Emma had been closely monitoring Hei Di Xiao of the Hellfire Club. Thanks to her, Lancelot had a precise grasp of the Club's activities.

"Sir, Professor X is approaching," Emma said, frowning slightly. Her psychic awareness had reached the level of Professor X.

"Faster than I expected." Lancelot looked toward the sea. A supersonic jet skimmed the Cuban waters.

On the jet's landing gear, Magneto's gaze fixed solemnly on Submarine 477—Hei Huangxiao's presence was there.

"Hei Di, Professor X… they're coming," Chimo Asato warned Hei Di Xiao with grave expression.

"Finally? The current has triggered a tsunami," Hei Huangxiao murmured through his mental protection helmet, a trace of madness in his eyes.

"Yes, Hei Di," the current-exploration operative nodded, raising both hands. Outside the nuclear submarine, two massive whirlpools were forming rapidly.

Meanwhile, the previously calm sea roiled violently, as underwater whirlpools generated a surface tsunami.

Rumble.

Gigantic waves churned. The Soviet and U.S. fleets, stationed in international waters, were suddenly drawn uncontrollably toward the waves' center.

"Sir, what should we do?" General Oliviera asked, astonished as his fleet surged toward the center.

"Just watch." Lancelot sat calmly, letting the tsunami rage outside. To him, ending the Cold War confrontation required only Lancelot's orders.

Even if the human fleets were obliterated, he cared little.

What truly mattered to him was the first battle of the mutants—the one that was about to begin.
