Chapter 12 - new start for someone broken

Author's note: This chapter may have some explicit scenes or adult scenes that are not for everyone. Keep this in mind.

Dariush carried Cobra to the mansion. Eira walked closely with him. The walk was quiet, except for the occasional random talks that broke the ice between Dariush, Eira, and Cobra.

Cobra was still in Dariush's arms as they went inside the mansion.

They were still at the entrance of the mansion (inside).

Dariush turned to Eira and said: "So, will you clean Cobra? Or should I give this task to the maids?"

Eira, without hesitation, said: "Yes! I will clean her."

Dariush said with a slight smile: "Then I will carry her to the bathroom for now, and then I will wait in the living room."

As they walked through the mansion, Cobra surveyed her surroundings with unfamiliarity and a kind of soldier's vigilance.

After a few moments, they arrived at the bathroom. The door opened. The bathroom was made of various types of colored stone, such as gray, green, and white, and many more—all combined with gold and silver in a very cozy and beautiful blend. And of course, the bathroom was big. Like, really big.

Cobra's jaw dropped. But then she closed her mouth in time. She thought: I knew what it feels like to be rich. But damn, this is magnificent. The thought of taking a bath here is like a dream.

Eira walked to the small pool in the bathroom and put her hand in it: "The water is warm. Dariush, put her here." (She patted the edge of the pool.)

Dariush did what Eira said. Then he said to Eira: "I will wait in the living room."

Then Dariush exited the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, Eira started to peel off Cobra's torn clothes. They were cold and hard to the touch—something like leather, but harder.

After that, Eira saw that Cobra's entire body was covered with scars. Cobra, with her only arm, managed to cover one of her breasts and her womanhood. She was slightly blushing.

Eira carefully placed her in the pool. She reached for the soap and started cleaning Cobra.

Eira, with a soft expression on her face, said: "You have such a beautiful body. I'm kind of jealous." (She chuckled softly.)

Cobra smiled slightly, but her eyes betrayed her attempt to look grateful.

Eira noticed it and said: "Don't give me that look. I meant every single word I said."

Cobra finally gave in. Now her expression was a mix of sadness and some kind of regret. She said with a shaky voice: "I am not beautiful anymore. I lost my beauty, my title, my everything. I am now just a... broken lioness."

Eira stopped cleaning her. She cupped Cobra's face and said: "But you are here now. And that means you can heal. You will put back every part of that past lioness. And surely, you will be able to call yourself the lioness you once were." (She said it softly.)

Cobra's eyes grew glossy and glistened with tears and the bathroom light. A single tear fell. As she spoke, her voice cracked: "I want to believe that... But, is that even possible for a... woman like me?"

Eira chuckled heartily and resumed cleaning her body. She said: "Yeah, for sure it's possible. Besides, you are not alone anymore. You have me and Dariush. We'll help you and make sure you heal. Through everything and every pain."

On Cobra's face, finally a smile broke through her sadness. She said softly: "Thanks for everything."

Eira's hands moved to Cobra's hair, gently massaging and caressing as she continued washing it.

Eira handed the soap to Cobra and said: "Here, clean your sensitive areas."

Cobra blushed slightly and said shyly: "Thanks for considering my comfort. But I still need your help. I can't do it with one hand."

Eira blushed slightly too. The atmosphere became... somewhat awkward and intimate.

Eira just nodded and started to help. Her hands moved to Cobra's sensitive areas—like her core, her breasts, and her hips.

And Cobra? Cobra put her hand over her mouth to stifle any weird sounds while blushing furiously.

Outside the bathroom, in the living room, Dariush was sitting on the couch. The fireplace was lit, warm, and crackling randomly, making the atmosphere cozy. From the big window in the living room, low sunlight was casting into the room and onto the left side of Dariush's body.

Then Kian came into the living room and said: "Mr. Dari— I mean, Dariush. What happened? I just heard you brought the famous broken lioness into the mansion. Is it true?"

Dariush just smirked and said casually: "Yes."

Kian's eyes widened, and he said in full shock: "WHAT!?"

Dariush chuckled slightly and said: "Yeah, that's true."

Kian took a deep breath to compose himself and sat across from him on another couch. Then he asked: "Then tell me why you did it."

Dariush leaned back, crossed his legs, and put his hands on his lap. Then, with confidence in his voice, he said: "It's because I saw potential. Besides, I know that if I help her, she will be my most loyal and strongest knight. And plus, she is broken. I need to heal her, and then she will surpass any hero soon enough."

Kian fell into deep thought for a moment, then asked again: "Then I have no argument with it. But where is she now? From what I know, she only has her left arm."

Dariush, with a casual demeanor, said: "Eira is taking care of her."

Kian's composure shattered instantly, and he said: "WHAT!?"

Dariush chuckled heartily and said: "I mean, Eira is cleaning her."

Kian couldn't bear this mentally now. He leaned on his knees and let out a long, drawn-out deep sigh. He murmured to himself: "This is ridiculous."

Dariush heard it and said: "Yeah, I know. But this is fun too." (He smirked, clearly amused by the chaos he had made.)

After a little while, Dariush asked: "So, did you find anything about the 'elf prince' that I am going to marry?"

Kian took a deep breath to compose himself. He leaned back, crossed his legs and arms, and said: "Yes. But not much."

Dariush ran a hand through his hair and murmured to himself: "Ugh, fucking hell." (Then he said to Kian:) "Okay then, continue."

Kian continued as requested: "He is from an elf empire. Its name is Enoy. And his name—"

The booming sound of Eira interrupted Kian: "Heyyyyy, boys! Look over here~!"

Before the two turned their heads to see, Dariush murmured to Kian: "We'll talk about this in my office. Later."

Then the two men turned their heads, and they were stunned by what they saw.
