The Scene of Carnage
I pushed open the massive castle doors.CREEEAK.
And what I discovered… was a surreal spectacle.
Luffy was stuck headfirst in the wall. Literally. His legs dangled in the air, kicking helplessly.
"MMMMPH! MMMMPH!"
Sanji was pinned to the opposite wall by a dozen knives embedded in his clothes. Not his flesh—just his outfit. Like a butterfly in a collection.
"I… can't… move…" he growled.
And in the center of the room, calmly seated on a plush couch, casually sipping from a bottle of wine…
Doctor Kureha.
She looked at me with eyes sparkling with mischief."Another visitor? This castle is getting popular today."
I smiled. "Good evening, Doctor."
She took a long swig, then stared at me intensely."So, you're here to learn my secret to eternal youth?"
"No. Because I'm immortal too."
Silence fell.
Kureha looked at me as if I were an arrogant idiot.
Then she burst out laughing.
"DAHAHAHA! YOU'VE GOT SOME NERVE, KID! Immortal? YOU?"
"Yes."
She slowly stood up, walked toward me, and scrutinized me from head to toe. Her doctor's eyes analyzed every detail.
My complexion. My breathing. My pulse.
"Hmmm…" She frowned. "Your body… it's abnormally stable. Too stable. As if—"
"As if I no longer age," I finished.
She stepped back slightly, surprised."Interesting. Very interesting. But then… why are you here?"
"I'm carrying a friend who's been parasitized. You're the only one with the knowledge to save her."
Kureha looked around me."Where is she? I don't see anyone dying here."
I summoned the Foundation door.
CLANG.
It materialized before us, floating in midair.
Kureha raised an eyebrow."A Devil Fruit?"
"Something like that."
I politely held the door open like a gentleman."After you, Doctor."
Before stepping in, she turned toward a corner of the room and shouted:"CHOPPER! GET THAT RUDE IDIOT DOWN FROM THE CEILING!"
I followed her gaze.
And I saw him.
A reindeer. Small. Cute. Wearing a pink hat far too big for his head.
He was hiding behind a wall.
Except…
His entire body was visible. Only half of his head was hidden.
It was… adorable.
Chopper trembled, trying to stay unnoticed.
I gave him a friendly nod.
Then I closed the door behind Kureha and myself, bringing her into the Foundation.
Visit to the Foundation
We walked through the white, sterile corridors.
Kureha observed everything with interest."I like this place. Calm. Clean. Just missing alcohol."
"I've got bottles in storage. Later."
She laughed."DAHAHAHA! You're a good kid!"
We passed through several sections, finally stopping before the emergency treatment room.
PSHHH.
The door opened.
And we both froze.
Shocked.
The Work of SCP-999
The room was… decorated.
Everywhere. On the walls. On the machines. On the FLOOR. Even on the CEILING.
Children's drawings. Colorful. Messy. Joyful.
Suns. Flowers. Smiles. Abstract shapes.
Drawn with colored crayons.
"What the…?" I murmured, incredulous.
Before I could identify the culprit, it literally jumped into my arms.
SQUIII!
An orange, gelatinous mass latched onto my face, gurgling happily.
"MMMMPH!"
I grabbed it and gently pulled it off my face."SCP-999… where did you get colored crayons?"
It looked at me with its big innocent eyes.
Then it smiled. A HUGE smile.
"…"
Of course. No answer.
I sighed."Poor thing… it must get lonely in here."
[MENTAL NOTE: SCP-999 IS NO MORE INTELLIGENT THAN A YOUNG CHILD][THIS IS A GOOD THING][IT WILL REMAIN INNOCENT]
Kureha stepped closer and observed SCP-999 with curiosity."What a strange child."
She didn't seem shocked by the orange gelatinous lifeform. As if she'd seen worse in her long life.
"I also take care of a troubled child," she added thoughtfully.
Chopper.
SCP-999 chirped happily and squirmed in my arms.
I gently placed it on the floor. It immediately bounced to a corner and began drawing on another wall.
Examining Nami
Kureha approached the glass tube where Nami was sleeping.
She examined the screens. The readings. The biological data.
Her fingers moved across the touch interfaces with unsettling ease.
Wait. How does she know how to use this technology?
She read the results without hesitation. As if she'd used these machines her entire life.
Why isn't she shocked? Why is she so proficient?
A hypothesis formed in my mind.
She knew the Ancient Kingdom. The era when technology was far more advanced. Before the Void Century.
But I kept the thought to myself. Everyone has their secrets.
After several minutes of silent examination, Kureha turned toward me.
"She needs to be transported to the castle. I need my equipment to treat her."
"Understood."
I called two guards."Transport Nami along with the tank. It's mounted on wheels. Take her to a room in the castle."
CLANG. CLANG.
The guards entered, saluted sharply, and began moving the medical tank.
Kureha stared at them for a long moment. Her eyes studying their identical uniforms. Their synchronized movements.
Lost in thought.
Then she spoke sharply."Don't disturb me during the treatment."
"Understood."
I left the room.
SCP-500: The Panacea
[ANOMALY #2: DETECTED – CASTLE][DISTANCE: 150 METERS][DIRECTION: UPPER FLOOR]
I followed the signal through the castle corridors.
Up staircases. Through abandoned rooms.
Eventually, I arrived in an old child's bedroom.
Wapol's room, no doubt. Filled with broken toys, scattered clothes, and debris.
On the nightstand: several medicine boxes.
But only one glowed strangely in my vision.
A small white box. With red pills inside.
[CONFIRMATION: SCP-500][CLASS: SAFE][ABILITY: UNIVERSAL HEALING][DANGER: NONE (EXCEPT ABUSE)]
I picked it up with extreme caution.
SCP-500. The Panacea.
A pill capable of curing ANY disease. Any injury. Any condition.
Universal. Absolute. Miraculous.
I summoned the Foundation door and called a guard.
"Place this in storage. With maximum care. Highest security level."
The guard took the box delicately and left.
[SCP-500: CONTAINED][ANOMALIES CAPTURED: 12]
I smiled.
With this medicine, I'm certain I can discreetly invite Doctor Kureha into the Foundation.
But Chopper must NEVER learn of this anomaly's existence.
His dream was to create a universal medicine. A cure for all diseases.
If I showed him SCP-500… it could destroy his motivation. Or worse, make him dependent.
No. That would be too dangerous for his growth.
I closed the door and returned to the main hall.
The Chaotic Trio
When I arrived, Sanji was there. Silent. Smoking his cigarette with a dark expression.
"Sanji? You okay?"
He looked at me."Luffy… he's chasing the ship's doctor."
"What?"
"That reindeer. Chopper. Luffy wants him to join the crew. But the poor guy's scared, so Luffy's chasing him everywhere yelling that he's our new doctor."
I sighed."Classic Luffy."
Running noises echoed upstairs.
"CHOPPER! JOIN MY CREW!""NOOO! LEAVE ME ALONE!"
I intercepted Luffy at the bottom of the stairs."LUFFY! WAIT!"
He stopped abruptly, panting."WHAT?!"
"I found your twin brother."
Luffy blinked. He thought deeply—which was rare.
Then frowned."I don't have a twin brother."
"Yes, you do. Look."
I summoned the door and called SCP-999.
SQUIII!
The orange jelly bounced happily out of the Foundation and landed on the floor with a satisfying SPLORCH.
Luffy stared at it.
SCP-999 stared back.
Then Luffy bent down and sniffed.
"It smells… like candy?"
SCP-999 chirped.
Luffy looked at me with sparkling eyes."Can you eat it?"
"NO!"
But before I could intervene, SCP-999 attacked.
SQUIII!
It jumped onto Luffy and started tickling him.
"GYAHAHAHA! STOP! IT'S—GYAHAHAHA!"
Luffy collapsed laughing, desperately trying to pull the jelly off.
But SCP-999 was gelatinous. Impossible to grab. Impossible to remove.
"GYAHAHAHA! HELP ME! GYAHAHAHA!"
Then Luffy started running.
Across the living room. Up the stairs. On the walls. On the CEILING.
SCP-999 chased him, purring happily after finding a new playmate.
They knocked over vases. Tables. Chairs.
Luffy ran laughing. SCP-999 chased chirping.
And suddenly…
Chopper appeared.
Drawn by the joyful noise.
He watched the scene, fascinated.
"What is… that creature?"
SCP-999 noticed him.
SQUIII!
It jumped toward Chopper and offered him… candy.
Pulled from nowhere.
How does it do that?!
Chopper timidly took a candy and ate it.
His eyes lit up."IT'S DELICIOUS!"
Luffy stood up."I WANT SOME TOO!"
SCP-999 handed out candy to both of them. Then it pulled out colored crayons—again from nowhere—and started drawing on Luffy's face.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
SCP-999 drew a huge smile. Whiskers. Stars.
Luffy made ridiculous faces trying to see what was being drawn.
Chopper burst out laughing."AHAHAHAHA! YOU'RE SO FUNNY!"
SCP-999 purred in satisfaction.
Luffy, Chopper, and SCP-999 were now a chaotic trio.
Playing. Laughing. Drawing.
I watched them with a smile.
I didn't know what I had unleashed. But in the future, this would become the spark of a friendship that would shake the world of the Straw Hats.
Kureha's Intervention
Several hours passed.
Sanji and I waited patiently in the living room.
The trio kept making noise upstairs. Laughter. Shouting. Crashes.
Then—
BAM!
The door to Nami's room burst open.
Doctor Kureha stormed out, furious.
"LUFFY! CHOPPER! STOP THIS RACKET IMMEDIATELY!"
Silence fell.
Then Luffy came down the stairs, SCP-999 on his head like a hat.
Chopper followed timidly.
"Sorry…" Chopper whispered.
Kureha frowned. Then noticed SCP-999.
The orange jelly looked at her with big innocent eyes.
Then it pulled out a rose. From nowhere.
And offered it to her.
"Squiii…"
Kureha blinked.
Then she took the rose with a gentle smile."Thank you, little one."
Her voice was low. Soft. Almost maternal.
"Go play somewhere else. But more quietly."
SCP-999 chirped happily and bounded off toward the garden with Luffy and Chopper.
Kureha watched them go, a strange expression on her face.
She understood SCP-999 was an anomalous lifeform. But seeing this creature fill people's hearts with joy… was like seeing Chopper smile.
The Awakening
Several more hours passed.
Luffy was still trying to convince Chopper to join the crew.
SCP-999 followed them like a duckling following its mother.
Sanji and I waited in silence.
Then—
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
The monitors in Nami's room activated.
Kureha rushed out."She's waking up."
We all hurried inside.
Nami lay on the bed. Her eyelids fluttered.
Then they opened.
"Where… where am I…?"
"NAMI!" Luffy shouted, throwing himself at her.
"LUFFY, LET HER BREATHE!" Sanji yelled.
Kureha shoved them back."Calm down! She needs rest!"
Nami looked at us all, confused."What happened…?"
"You were bitten by a parasite," I explained. "You slept for three days. But now, you're cured."
Her eyes widened."Three days…?"
"Yes. And you missed A LOT."
That was when SCP-999 chose to jump into the room.
SQUIII!
It hopped onto the bed and snuggled against Nami.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!" she screamed.
"That's SCP-999. Our new… uh… mascot?"
"MASCOT?!"
Luffy laughed."He's awesome! He tickles!"
Nami stared at the orange jelly with horror and fascination.
Then SCP-999 offered her a candy.
"…"
She took it timidly and ate it.
"It's… delicious…"
SCP-999 purred happily.
Nami gently petted it."Well… okay. He's cute."
Everyone burst out laughing.
