Chapter 53 - Chapter 53 "Ms.

After Osial's crisis was resolved, the Liyue Qixing continued to negotiate with the Adepti.

However, Ryan was currently so overjoyed with acquiring one of Osial's heads that he didn't pay any attention to what they were discussing.

From the results, however, it seemed the Adepti had compromised with the fact that the era of the Adepti had passed and intended to depart.

Ryan had originally wanted to agree to Cloud Retainer's invitation to return to Jueyun Karst together, but remembering something, he looked back at Paimon and then refused.

"Very well, child, grasp this opportunity well."

Cloud Retainer followed the direction Ryan had just looked, and upon seeing it was the golden-haired Traveler, she nodded, patted Ryan's shoulder, and admonished him.

Afterward, Cloud Retainer departed with the other Adepti.

"Hmm... Although a crisis has been resolved, and it's good that the Liyue Qixing and the Adepti are getting along peacefully, the culprit who caused this crisis is still at large."

Standing beside Lumine, Paimon spoke to Lumine gloomily with her arms crossed.

"If only you had hit him harder, Traveler, so he couldn't get back up, then he wouldn't have been able to do bad things."

Paimon got a bit angry whenever she thought of Tartaglia.

"I couldn't help it, he acted as soon as he finished speaking."

Lumine spread her hands helplessly; she couldn't predict Tartaglia's actions.

The second before, Tartaglia was still kneeling and unable to get up, but the next second he suddenly pulled out a pile of Talismans of All-Encompassing Evil... "That's true, but speaking of which, he said earlier that the Geo Archon was faking his death... Could it be true? In that case, should the Rite of Parting still be held?"

Paimon could only nod, then remembered a new question.

If it wasn't necessary to hold it, wouldn't their efforts over the past two days, running around preparing for the Rite of Parting, be wasted?

"I'm not sure, let's go ask Morax."

Lumine pondered for a moment and decided to go back and ask Morax, who was in charge of the Rite of Parting, for his opinion.

"I'll go too!"

At this moment, Ryan poked his head out from the side and extended his hand to give a handful of candies to Paimon.

"Also, Paimon, were you angry just now? Have some candy to cheer up; I have plenty more if you need it."

Ryan gently said as he pushed the candies towards Paimon.

"Wow, that's enough, that's enough, thank you, Ryan!"

"I can't hold it all, Traveler, help me out..."

Paimon's eyes immediately lit up, and she used both hands to cup the candies, but unfortunately, her palms were too small to hold them all, so she had to ask Lumine next to her for help.

Lumine was a bit speechless; after taking some of the candies, she unceremoniously unwrapped one and put it into her mouth.

"Oh...!"

Ryan saw Lumine's action and suddenly made a sound of realization.

Then he picked up a candy from the pile Paimon was holding with both hands, unwrapped it, and brought it to Paimon's mouth.

"Aww~"

"Hehe~ Ryan, you really understand me~"

Hugging all the candies in her arms, Paimon happily took the candy Ryan offered.

Lumine: "?"

Lumine, her cheeks slightly puffed out from the candy in her mouth, subconsciously tilted her head.

So, I was the one who was wrong?

After Paimon ate the candy and her mood changed, Ryan led the way to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Earlier, when Lumine and Paimon returned to Liyue Harbor after collecting wild glaze lilies needed for the Rite of Parting from Dihua Marsh, it coincided with the Adepti arriving to question the Liyue Qixing.

At this critical juncture, to prevent the Fatui from taking advantage of the chaos, the Liyue Qixing immediately sent people to keep a close watch on the Northland Bank and suspected Fatui members, restricting their movements.

As a Guest Elder for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Morax was quite close to the Fatui Harbinger, so the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor also became a target for the Millelith's lockdown.

This made Hu Tao unhappy; was the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's business to be postponed due to the lockdown, preventing the deceased from being buried in time?

Thus, Hu Tao had some conflicts with the Millelith.

Morax, upon learning of this, hinted to Lumine and her companions that Tartaglia might appear at the Golden House, then rushed back to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to prevent any accidents.

"You're looking for Mr. Morax? He's not in the parlor right now; it seems he's gone to visit the Northland Bank."

When Ryan and his companions arrived at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, the conflict here had long since subsided, and the ferryman who answered the door explained to Ryan and his companions.

"Northland Bank? Isn't that a Fatui establishment?"

"Ah... Morax probably doesn't know that the mastermind behind the God's attack on Liyue is the Fatui!"

Paimon was puzzled for a moment but quickly thought of this possibility.

After all, at the Golden House, besides Tartaglia, there were only the three of them.

"Northland Bank is a Fatui establishment, huh... Then, since we beat that Harbinger so badly, will they not let me use this three million Mora check?"

Hearing Paimon's words, Ryan was stunned for a moment, picked up the check he had previously obtained from Bubu Pharmacy, and said worriedly.

"Uh... it shouldn't be that bad, after all, the Northland Bank is a large enterprise."

"Anyway, let's go find Morax first. If we go too late... he might be captured and taken hostage by that evil Harbinger."

Paimon shook her head and suggested.

Ryan and Lumine immediately nodded.

They had already defeated Tartaglia once before, so they weren't worried about him playing any more tricks.

Could he possibly release another God?

And so, Ryan went with them to the Northland Bank.

The employees of the Northland Bank seemed unaware of what had happened between their Harbinger and them, and still warmly greeted these 'friends' of the Harbinger.

From the Northland Bank employees, Ryan and his companions learned the location of the parlor where Morax and Tartaglia were, and immediately rushed over.

Opening the door, Morax and Tartaglia were indeed there, and there was even a platinum-haired woman Ryan didn't recognize, wearing a black crown-shaped mask that covered half of her eyes.

"Lady!"

Upon seeing the platinum-haired woman in the room, Lumine and Paimon subconsciously called out this title.

"Heh, it's you two. Not bad, you remembered my name well."

The Lady turned her head and spoke somewhat haughtily to Lumine and her companions.

As for Ryan, she didn't know him, so she ignored him.

Paimon, however, quietly explained the Lady's identity to Ryan, letting him know that she was also a Fatui Harbinger.

"Yo, Traveler, we meet again."

At this moment, Tartaglia also greeted them.

But Lumine and Paimon didn't pay much attention to him.

"Alright, let's not waste time."

"As per the contract, I've come for your Gnosis, Morax."

The Lady wasn't very interested in interacting with Lumine and her companions much, and said this as she looked at Morax.

"contract? Gnosis?!"

The Lady's words stunned Ryan and the other two.

"..."

"The contract is made. As you wish, I bestow upon you what was promised."

Morax took a sip of tea, then took out an orange-yellow chess piece, which was indeed the Geo Archon's Gnosis.

Looking at the Geo Archon's Gnosis, Ryan was stunned.

This thing would definitely be amazing for alchemy... Wait, no? Mr. Morax is the Geo Archon?!!
