Chapter 50: Got You a Gift
"I'm back," said Harry as he walked inside the shop.
The door to the basement opened up, and Morgan walked out. Unlike Harry, who had grown up quite a bit, she still looked the same as four years ago.
The witch carried a serious expression as she looked at him. "Tell me everything."
"That is going to take a while. Can we get some tea at least?" Harry asked. "I have worked very hard, you know?"
Morgan mumbled something under her breath. Harry could only pick up a few words, most of them being profanities.
But she still went to make the tea.

"A soul contract?" Morgan exclaimed.
"Yes, he used something called the Goblet of Fire. I checked the best I could, and it looks very solid." Harry had explained most of what happened during his last adventure. "But you know I am not an expert on that branch."
"I could take a look, but that would require me to… go to Hogwarts." Morgan sighed.
"Hey, it's fine. No need to force yourself. Besides, it's not that bad. I just have to make three appearances, one for each task. It is not required of me to stay in the school."
"Three, mmm… I suppose it could have been worse," Morgan said.
"Oh, and there is also something about a ball party near the end of December," Harry added.
"A ball?! You have to attend a ball?" Morgan raised the volume of her voice. "And who exactly were you planning to take? Don't tell me that you are going to dance with one of those students."
"Why are you getting so upset? I don't even know if I have to go. Some old guy mentioned it."
"I am not upset!" She slammed her fist on the table and made the tea cups fall to the floor and break into pieces.
"No… of course not." Harry quickly used a 'Reparo' charm to clean the mess and poured himself some more tea. "Changing the subject… I brought you some gifts."
Harry pulled out the rifle and the goggles he took from the raider.
Morgan's eyes immediately went to the weapon, and she picked it up. "Looks like a new model."
"Yes. It packs quite the punch. The last projectile managed to break through my strongest shield," Harry told her. "That was no joke."
Morgan frowned. "Those bastards keep improving them. We need to find their main factory and destroy it. Keep them from getting new weapons."
"I was hoping to get some information in their base, but I was sadly interrupted by the great Albus Dumbledore and his goblet," Harry rolled his eyes.
"I met him once, I believe… it was around fifty years ago," Morgan commented. "What did you think of him?"
"I think the stories about him were completely overblown. He couldn't even take down an injured red dragon. Just a normal adult at that."
"He must have gotten in his years," Morgan said before realizing something. "Wait… you didn't tell me what happened to the corpses of those dragons that you killed. Please, tell me that you did n—"
"I knew you were going to ask for them, so I left the old Headmaster in charge of processing the bodies, and I said I would come back to pick up the materials in a few days," Harry responded.
"Good." Morgan finally looked pleased. "I can make good use of those materials. We also need more money, given the rate at which you spent it."
"Oh, I almost forgot. There was something else," Harry said.
"About what?"
"Aren't you curious about the old Headmaster's motive for being so obsessed with finding me?"
"Oh? You found out about that?" Morgan asked. "Tell me."
Harry leaned on the table and smiled. "You see… there is a prophecy."
"A prophecy?" Morgan scoffed. "Modern diviners are complete frauds. That art has truly been lost over time."
"Well, someone had a prophecy involving me, and Albus Dumbledore was the first one to hear it."
"Fine… I'll bite. What does it say?"
Harry went on to recite the exact words he got from Dumbledore's mind.
"The Dark Lord… but didn't you already kill that one when you were a babe? That's what everyone believes," Morgan pointed out that the prophecy should have already been completed.
"Apparently not. Remember that soul fragment you found in my scar?"
"The one I put inside my paperweight?" She pointed at the object in question. It was a dark, rectangular, metallic object that was resting on top of a pile of documents on one of the shelves.
"Yes… it was kind of creepy that you wanted to keep that thing," Harry frowned. "My point is… Dumbledore believes that this Dark Lord had created more of those phylacteries and used them to anchor himself to the mortal realm. Now, his followers are trying to bring him back to life. Or perhaps they have already done so."
"And?" Morgan asked. "What is the issue? He is just a dark wizard with questionable morals. There are tons of those in the world."
"I know, but for Hogwarts' Headmaster, this Dark Lord in particular is seen as a huge threat to the country," Harry explained.
He knew it was hard for Morgan to understand danger in the same way as the average wizard or witch. She just played on a whole different scale.
"And do you have to get involved with this now? We have better things to do," Morgan said.
Harry shrugged. "Turns out that this dark wizard also learned about the prophecy, or at least part of it. That is why he targeted my parents when I was a babe. And that's why he will continue to target me for as long as he exists. Just like Dumbledore, he believes I am the only one who poses a serious threat to him."
"I see…" Morgan's demeanor turned colder. "Then you must get revenge. Kill him along with his followers so no one can bring him back, and problem solved."
Harry had already been expecting that this was going to be her solution… just kill everyone.
"I have a less bloody method in mind. A more permanent one as well."
