Chapter 60: Arrival at Drum Island

A few days later—

"Captain, we've arrived!"

camon called out excitedly, holding a telescope in his hands. Through the lens, an island filled with towering glaciers came into view.

A few minutes later, Jiang Qize stepped out of his cabin wearing a black shirt, droplets of water glistening on his long silver hair.

Seeing the icy island drawing nearer, he smiled.

"Finally. I wonder where Doflamingo is now."

"Roar~!"

The Tyrannosaurus beside him stood up, stomping over with a guttural growl. Its eyes gleamed with restless energy.

It had been stuck on the ship for days with nowhere to move around, and it was getting unbearably bored.

Ten minutes later—

Boom!

The ship docked at the port.

Tap tap tap...

A squad of soldiers wrapped tightly in heavy coats rushed over, forming a semicircle around the dock. Each of them held a rifle in their gloved hands.

The Tyrannosaurus leapt down first.

Thud!

The ground shook violently, leaving a massive crater where it landed.

"Roar~!"

With a deafening bellow, the beast unleashed a wave of sound mixed with a foul stench that blasted over the soldiers.

"Open fire!"

The captain of the guard, his face pale, gave the order with a sweep of his arm.

Bang bang bang...

Bullets whizzed through the air, slamming into the Tyrannosaurus.

"Roar~!"

The creature roared in fury, swinging its colossal tail.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

The bullets sank into its hide but went no further—they were stuck fast, not even drawing blood.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"Ahhh!"

The enormous tail swept across the dock like a falling tower, smashing through the soldiers' ranks. They were sent flying like rag dolls, screaming in agony as blood splattered across the snow.

In an instant, the pure white ground was stained crimson.

"Damn pirates!" the captain roared, drawing his sword and charging at the Tyrannosaurus.

A glint of cruelty and mockery flickered in the beast's vertical pupils. Its jaws opened wide—

Chomp!

A spray of blood burst into the air and froze almost instantly. Half of the captain's body flew off and hit the ground, encased in ice moments later.

Jiang Qize leapt down from the ship. Watching the scene, he could only sigh helplessly.

Still, he said nothing—it was the guards who had attacked first.

"You all go find a good doctor. If you can, hire a cook too—and stock up on supplies while you're at it," he ordered the crew who had just disembarked.

"Yes, Captain."

"You two, go with them—but don't cause any trouble."

He patted the Tyrannosaurus and the little gorilla on their heads.

"Grrr~"

"Roar~!"

They responded eagerly and lumbered off toward the interior of the island.

Jiang Qize looked around, then chose a path leading toward one of the ice mountains.

Drum Island was nothing but snow and ice—freezing winds howled across the land.

But his body, strengthened by several dinosaurs' attributes, easily resisted the cold. His very skin radiated heat like a living furnace.

He didn't know where Chopper would eventually find his Devil Fruit, but since Chopper had eaten the Human-Human Fruit when he was young, Jiang Qize figured he only needed to find where the reindeer herds gathered.

As he walked through the street, he noticed houses lining both sides—fully sealed structures with only chimneys poking out from the roofs, all buried beneath thick layers of snow.

There were few people outside, and those who were wore heavy coats wrapped tightly around them, only their eyes visible.

"Hey, excuse me!"

Jiang Qize called out to a man about one meter sixty tall.

The man turned, and upon seeing Jiang Qize's appearance, his eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.
