Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Reunion in White

The morning sun spilled across the apartment, painting everything in a warm, golden glow. 🌞

Zayan kissed Anisa lightly on the forehead before grabbing his bag. "I'll be back late tonight," he said, his voice tinged with exhaustion already. "Take care of yourself."

Anisa smiled, her heart lifting with a mixture of love and excitement. Today was special. It had been years since she had last seen some old friends, and her college friend had invited her to a small party that evening. 🌟

By afternoon, she stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the delicate folds of her white party frock. The fabric shimmered softly under the sunlight, hugging her in just the right places, and Anisa felt both elegant and free. She let her hair fall loosely around her shoulders, the waves catching the light like tiny sparks.

Stepping into a cab, she tried to ignore the flutter of anticipation in her chest. It had been four years since college, and she wasn't sure what to expect. 🌌

The party was lively, music spilling into the garden and laughter filling the air. She spotted familiar faces, friends who had become distant acquaintances with time;and made her way through the crowd with practiced ease.

And then she saw her. 😲

Kirana, her younger sister, now twenty years old, was laughing brightly with a group of friends. Her face, framed by long, silky hair, lit up the space around her. Time seemed to collapse for Anisa; memories of teaching her little sister to tie her shoelaces, the shared secrets, the whispered bedtime promises, all came rushing back.

"Kirana!" Anisa called, walking toward her.

Her sister turned, eyes widening in surprise and joy. "Anisa! I can't believe it's really you!" she exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug.💞

They stepped aside, letting the noise of the party fade around them as they caught up. Kirana told Anisa about her studies, the friends she had made, and the small joys and troubles of her life. Anisa shared stories of her own life with Zayan, the little apartment they had built together, the struggles and the successes of running the studio.

Laughter and nostalgia blended seamlessly, bridging the years apart. The bond between them had not weakened; if anything, it had grown deeper, rooted in love and shared history. 😅

For Anisa, it was a comforting reminder: no matter how much life changed, some connections remained untouchable, steady in their warmth.

And as the evening stretched on, she felt a quiet gratitude;for family, for love, and for the simple joy of being home, even among a crowd. 🤘
