It felt cold, his hands were numb, his body shivered in the cold, the warm blood flowing through his veins. Slowly the numbness faded, the shivering stopped, he slowly opened his eyes to see the ceiling in front.
He was laying on a puddle of water. The water was still cold like it had recently melted from ice. He stood up and looked around.
It seemed that he was in some kind of museum. He looked around, everything looked…
Old… abandoned…
He was on a pedestal. He got down from the pedestal.
He was wearing ragged and blood-soaked clothes, it was a gray jacket over a white shirt, with dry blood on his chest area. The right sleeve was torn off, exposing his left arm which was too smooth, while his left sleeve covered his entire arm There were many holes in his clothes which looked like he had been stabbed in these areas.
One in his right side of his stomach, one on his shoulder, one on his right chest like this many more holes exposed his smooth light brown skin under the clothes.
He wore pants which looked like a typical school uniform, an indigo color. But it was baggy yet it was his height. Since it was baggy it was easy for him to move in it. The pants were torn up to his knee exposing his right leg and he was bare feet.
He noticed his palms which were covered in many callipers. His skin looked smooth yet he had many callipers.
'How is this possible? I have many callipers and yet my skin is smooth like it has been maintained very well for years.'
As he touched the callipers they peeled off like some kind of sticker.
He removed all the callipers on His hand and now it was just as smooth as the rest of his skin. Then his gaze fell on the pedestal he woke up on. He looked around and found more pedestals just like that.
But there were ice blocks on them. He got closer to one of the other pedestals. There in front of the pedestal was a slab. He kept his hand on it and suddenly a hologram appeared in front of him,
"Ho!" he shouted as he got scared from the sudden pop-up of the hologram.
On the hologram something was written on it. He tried to read it but he could not understand what was written, then…
A sharp headache, he held his head in both of his arms in pain and screamed. His voice echoed in the place. As a reply to his scream something in the darkness moved.
He felt his head beating like a heart and expanding, at any moment his brain might burst out of his skull.
He rolled on the ground in agony. After a while the headache subsided and he slowly opened his eyes and removed his hand from his head trying to keep his skull from exploding from inside. He stood up and now when looked at the writings, to his shock he could read what was written.
'A frozen specimen of human
Scientists found it is from 3000bce, the early ages when humans discovered how to make iron tools. 'The IRON age'. This human is a 14 year old girl. who lost her life in a war or conflict. Still many descriptions are not clear as there is no record of ice age or any snow storm in the region this specimen was found.
It was found in an expedition to the "Asrayam cave" More famously called the king's treasure trove. Where they found many other specimens.'
"3000bce?"
"The iron age?"
He looked at the block of ice, there was something in the ice. It looked like a girl was draped inside the ice, but the ice was sliced in two. The top half of the girl was gone. And blood seeped from the ice.
'How did I not notice the blood flowing out from the ice?' He thought to himself.
He went back to the pedestal he woke up on, and touched the slab that showed another hologram.
'A frozen specimen of human
Scientists found it is from 3000bce, the early ages when humans discovered how to make iron tools. 'The IRON age'. This human is a 14 year old boy, who lost his life in a war or conflict…'
He looked at the other pedestals there. There were totally five pedestals including His and the girl's. The other two pedestals also had ice blocks on them and inside the ice blocks Someone was trapped, they were also missing the top half and blood seeping from them. But in the middle there was a pedestal which was bigger than the rest but it was empty.
He went closer to the pedestal in the middle and touched the slab. The hologram appeared again and in it, and read what was written out aloud.
"Frozen Specimen – Non-Human
A frozen specimen of a non-human biological entity. Scientists estimate the specimen, bla bla bla… The specimen does not match any known animal or human classification. Based on skeletal structure and muscle density, researchers theorize it belonged to an extinct adaptive species, possibly native to the region during that era. The body exhibits unusual traits. Scientists conclude the species evolved naturally and later went extinct. Cause of death remains unknown. Cryo-preservation is exceptionally intact. However, there are no historical records… same nonsense. Due to the risk of rapid decomposition upon thawing, the specimen was left encased in ice and later transported intact to the museum for preservation and study. The species is currently classified as Extinct.
Note: The ice does not melt because of a temperature modifier fitted inside all the ice which would work for 50 years without maintenance."
'What would have happened during that time? How did I end up in the ice?'
He looked at the empty pedestal, walked near it and climbed on top of it. On top of the pedestal water was present proof that there was once ice here.
He touched the water and it was still cold. First he thought nothing of it. As he was getting down from the pedestal a noise.
Thud!
Something fell. He turned towards the sound, it was a dark area, he could not see anything there. His heart started to beat faster, adrenaline started to pump. His reflex said to run, he did not understand what was going on.
Then something in the dark moved there was something or someone there. A pair of Orange glowing eyes opened and stared at the boy.
