Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Aviation Cannons

Five weeks later, Mavi's friends from Dubai—Amur, Amir, and others—arrived in St. Petersburg via private jet.

This time, they weren't just accompanied by the same group of wealthy elites who had previously toured Europe in luxury. They also brought along a highly influential figure from Dubai—Haman Mohammed. He was a nobleman with close ties to the Dubai royal family.

The oil fields controlled by Haman's family were valued at over $1.8 billion, which was an astonishing amount at the time.

As expected, Haman traveled in style, flying in a Boeing 737, a mid-range twin-engine jet. The aircraft itself cost him $11 million.

Compared to the Boeing 737, Mavi's Gulfstream G200 looked like a child's toy—almost half the size. This was precisely why Mavi wanted to make more money and buy an Airbus A380. In a world dominated by billionaires, he refused to be the one with the smallest plane.

As the Boeing 737 smoothly landed at St. Petersburg International Airport, Haman Mohammed remained seated in the cabin. He wore a traditional white Arabian robe and a pure white cap, casually crossing his legs as he gazed out the window. His flip-flops stood out as an unconventional fashion statement.

"You said your Russian friend has everything arranged, correct? I followed you all this way, so don't disappoint me," Haman said calmly to Amur and Amir.

As a Dubai aristocrat, Haman always had his luxury cars transported wherever he traveled. It wasn't about showing off—it was simply that he refused to sit in an unworthy car. Anything less would be beneath his status.

"Everything should be fine. My friend is incredibly reliable," Amur replied confidently, thinking about the custom Bugatti he had commissioned from Mavi. That car was so stunning that even the Dubai royal family had inquired about where he got it modified.

Because of this, Amur had no hesitation in vouching for Mavi. He had flown all this way not only to reconnect with his friend but also to introduce Haman to Mavi's exceptional craftsmanship.

The ultra-wealthy operated in a tight-knit circle. Unlike what movies or novels often depicted, where rich elites constantly schemed against each other, in reality, they preferred sticking together.

Haman nodded and turned to his assistant. "Is the car ready?"

"Yes, Young Master Haman," the assistant answered respectfully.

Haman looked outside as his newly ordered Ferrari Enzo was being unloaded from a transport aircraft by his bodyguards.

The Ferrari Enzo was a legendary model, named after Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the company. Designed as the successor to the Ferrari F50, it featured a V12 mid-engine and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.65 seconds.

Originally, the Ferrari Enzo was supposed to be released in 2002, but in this alternate timeline, it had been launched two years earlier.

Mavi had also ordered a Ferrari Enzo, but he hadn't received his car yet. Since luxury sports cars were produced individually, the delivery order depended on priority—those deemed more important or who placed orders first got theirs earlier. As a result, Haman had the privilege of flaunting his car first.

As the bright yellow Ferrari Enzo was carefully unloaded beneath the Boeing 737, Haman, Amur, and the others prepared to disembark and head toward their pre-arranged transportation.

However, just as they stepped off the aircraft, they noticed three dark-gold bulletproof SUVs approaching from a distance, escorted by several camouflage-painted "Tiger" armored vehicles.

Leading the convoy were three hand-built, dark-gold "Combat T98" SUVs—also known as Dartz Kombat T98 armored vehicles.

These weren't just any luxury cars. The Dartz Kombat T98 was a masterpiece of engineering, combining an intimidating presence with royal Russian heritage. Dartz, the world's oldest armored car manufacturer, produced each vehicle with extreme precision.

Every Kombat T98 took 28 expert engineers over 1,500 hours to meticulously craft by hand, making each unit a unique work of automotive art. In terms of exclusivity, the Kombat T98 was even rarer than the Ferrari Enzo—and far more intimidating.

The bulletproof rating of the Kombat T98 was B6, capable of withstanding attacks from professional assassins, machine guns, explosives, Molotov cocktails, and grenades. The undercarriage was also non-magnetic, preventing magnetic mines from sticking to it and endangering the occupants.

Its steel armor was 3+2 mm thick, while its bulletproof glass was 14.5 mm thick, capable of stopping bullets from a 9mm Glock or a .357 Magnum revolver.

Haman and his entourage stood motionless, staring as the three Dartz Kombat T98 SUVs, flanked by Tiger armored vehicles, rolled up to greet them.

Curious, Haman pointed to a massive gun mounted on the armored SUVs and asked his bodyguard, "What kind of machine gun is that? It looks huge… a Gatling gun?"

His bodyguard hesitated for a moment before answering, "Young Master, I believe that is a Russian 30–165mm universal aircraft cannon. It has a 30mm caliber. Gatling guns refer to a class of rotating multi-barrel machine guns, and while this is in the same category, it's much more powerful…"

Explaining this distinction was difficult. All multi-barrel rotating guns were technically "Gatling" weapons, but the firepower and destructive capability varied drastically depending on caliber and function.

For example, a machine gun and an aircraft cannon were two entirely different things.

Mounted on top of the Dartz Kombat T98, the Russian 30–165mm universal aircraft cannon was a single-barrel, recoil-operated, sliding-breech weapon. It used compressed air for loading and electric firing mechanisms, achieving a muzzle velocity of 700–1,000 m/s with a firing rate of 800–1,050 rounds per minute.

This kind of firepower was normally reserved for MiG fighter jets. In a single burst, it could shred a light tank to pieces.

Just as Haman was discussing this with his bodyguard, the door of the lead Dartz Kombat T98 opened, and a Russian bodyguard in a suit stepped out.

"Are you Mr. Amur and Mr. Amir?" he asked. "These three Dartz Kombat T98 SUVs have been prepared for you by our Young Master Mavi. He is currently at the shipyard, and we will escort you there."

Unlike Haman, Amur and Amir hadn't brought any sports cars to St. Petersburg. After all, their custom supercars had been modified by Mavi himself, so showing them off in front of him would have been pointless.

Besides, Mavi had already told them over the phone that he had prepared an even crazier lineup of custom vehicles for them to experience.

With this in mind, they had no reason to show off in front of Mavi, lest they embarrass themselves instead.

Of course, they had politely warned Haman about this, but as a Dubai oil prince, he refused to listen. There was nothing Amur could do about it.

In the end, Amur and Amir climbed into the Dartz Kombat T98 SUVs that Mavi had prepared, while Haman, unwilling to back down, drove his Ferrari Enzo behind them, following the convoy.

After witnessing Mavi's over-the-top welcome, Amur and Amir realized something shocking—Russian billionaires like Mavi didn't just collect luxury cars… they played with bulletproof SUVs and military-grade aircraft cannons for fun.

It was a level of extravagance they would never forget.
