Chapter 60 - Chapter 61: Mission Accomplished

The Church's three-piece exorcism set.

① Reciting scripture.

② Purification and expulsion, sprinkling holy water on the victim.

③ Torture and interrogation for the demon's true name, using one's own faith combined with divine mandates to forcibly drive the demon back to Hell or enslave it through certain means.

A simple three-piece set, yet it has allowed the Church to endure for over a thousand years.

It must be said, however, that these three steps are highly effective against demons.

Of course, how effective they are depends entirely on the individual's own power of faith.

In York' case, this manifested specifically as his Spirit attribute.

In truth, York wasn't entirely certain, but through trial and error, he felt that this so-called power of faith or Holy Power was linked to the system's Spirit attribute.

"Aaahhhhhh!!!"

As the holy energy descended, Prima, lying on the bed, had already begun to howl in agony.

Regardless of how high the Spirit attribute was, an enchantment with ten Points of doubled quality was enough to wound the demon within.

York' expression remained calm. He stared at Prima as she struggled and howled in pain on the bed, his lips continuing to recite the scripture.

This was the first part of the Church's traditional three-piece exorcism set.

Then came the second.

Since he was going to put on a show, he might as well do it thoroughly. As holy energy filled the room, York looked at the floating Bible and waved his right hand, mobilizing the Mana within his body.

Under the watchful gaze of the elderly Welber, the holy water bottles in the backpack followed the Bible's lead, floating up automatically to hover over the bed.

York stopped reciting and applied a Mana enchantment.

He looked at the struggling Prima and whispered softly.

"Exorcio."

This was an offensive incantation. A white light appeared in the air, striking the bottle filled with holy water according to York' will.

With a bang, the bottle shattered, and the holy water inside splashed directly onto Prima, whose struggles were beginning to weaken.

It was like oil hitting fire. Smoke instantly billowed from Prima's body, and she shrieked in pain, thrashing on the bed more violently than ever before.

"I! Will not forget this day!"

"Then you have quite a lot to remember."

York didn't care at all. He let out a light chuckle as he watched Prima's skin peel as if it were being burned by fire.

A demon possessing a human wasn't enough to challenge him; it was too weak.

"Buddy, do you want to crawl back yourself, or should I personally send you back?"

As he spoke, the final bottle of holy water suddenly floated up from the backpack and stopped above Prima.

Amidst her thrashing, Prima suddenly opened her mouth and roared at York.

"Get out!"

A sudden gust of wind rose, but York simply swatted it away with a casual wave of his hand. Compared to before, the power this demon could muster now was too meager; he didn't even need to use Mana.

"Buddy, seriously, I think it's best if You are obedient, otherwise it'll only get worse. There's a good saying in the East: 'If you don't listen to your elders, you'll suffer before your very eyes.'

I really don't want to torture You; it ruins our rapport."

Prima was so angry her liver hurt—if demons had livers. Despite the pain of her thrashing, she still roared at York by the bed.

"You think **! Who the ** has rapport with you!"

"You're wrong! I don't care what You think, I only care what I think! We definitely have rapport!"

As he spoke, York' Mana moved with his thoughts. Mana appeared above him, ready to shatter the holy water bottle. After a bit more torture, he would proceed to the third part of the exorcism set: the interrogation for the true name.

"...In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit..."

Prima seemed to sense the energy fluctuations. Her grayish-white pupils constricted as she roared.

"Stop!"

The corner of York' mouth twitched. "Buddy, You finally think I'm right? Unfortunately... it's too late.

I've thought about it seriously, and only by knowing Your true name can we become real friends."

The moment he finished speaking, the Mana above his head instantly shattered the holy water bottle that had been hovering over the bed.

In an instant, before Prima's wide-eyed gaze, the last bottle of holy water exploded downward, drenching her completely.

"Damned human!"

Prima, who was already suffering, entered the most agonizing stage. Smoke rose from her entire body as she let out a series of roars, twisting in pain over and over again.

"Damn it!"

York' expression didn't change at all. The Bible in front of him flipped its pages automatically as he began to use the holy energy for the interrogation.

"In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Demon! I command you to give your name! Come!"

As the words echoed in the room, a massive amount of holy energy condensed automatically, enveloping Prima's body.

In that moment, Prima's pupils returned to their original color—a mysterious, profound change.

"In the name of the Lord Jesus! I command you! Submit to my Lord! Submit to the Creator of all! Demon! In the name of my Lord! I command you to give your name!"

"I! Aaaahhhh!!!"

The demon was tortured by the massive holy energy and compelled to reveal its true name, but Prima's pupils instantly snapped back to the color of demonic control.

"Stop! Human! I will make a deal with you!"

York' heart stirred, and he stopped the interrogation.

"What deal could possibly be worth Your true name?"

"Satan!"

Prima's grayish-white pupils stared at the expressionless York as she roared in a beast-like tone.

"Satan!!!"

York pursed his lips, simply staring at Prima with his eyes slightly narrowed.

"He is looking for you!!! York John!!"

York' expression remained unchanged, but his heart sank. The Mana within him fluctuated violently, and he waved his right hand as if swatting a fly.

[20 Points of Mana used]

"Get out!"

The twenty-point Mana enchantment caused the holy energy to surge instantly. Enhanced by several layers of energy, York' voice became solemn and awe-inspiring, as if it carried the weight of some ultimate truth.

"Roar!"

Prima's body suddenly arched like a cooked prawn. Amidst her roar, her eyelids slowly closed over her dazed eyes, which had regained their normal color. Her body fell back vertically, and she moved no more.

Everything became calm. The evil aura lingering in the house dissipated like a wave receding into the distance.

Robert, who had been waiting outside, seemed to sense something and instinctively looked down at the curtains billowing in the window.

"Father... Father York?"

Seeing that his daughter had stopped moving, the old man looked at York and asked cautiously.

"Prima, is she... is she alright?"

"Yes, it's over."

York remained expressionless as he took out his Cross and pressed it against Prima's forehead.

The moment the Cross touched her skin, Prima suddenly opened her dazed eyes. She stared at the figure of the priest looming over her, her eyes misting with tears.

"Fa... Father."

She was aware of what had just happened.

York showed a gentle smile.

"The Lord is with you, Ms. Prima."

"Prima!!! Prima!!" The elderly Welber at the door could no longer contain himself and rushed to the bedside.

"Dad."

Prima managed a weak greeting.

"Oh my God!"

Welber grabbed his daughter's hand, his own eyes filling with tears.

"God bless!"

His smile remaining, York put away his Cross and took a step back to give the father and daughter space to express their emotions. Without drawing attention, he quietly picked up his backpack from the floor and headed out the door... [...]
