Chapter 14 - Chapter — 14. The Bloody escape

"Never expect an untamed lion to perform in a circus or obey its master."

Kid Noah was soaked in sweat, tired from the training. His father, who had almost the same face as adult Noah but had a large beard and was bald, was training him in the backyard of his old house.

Kid Noah asked his dad, "Why are you telling me about this, Dad?"

"Because people will try to tame you, just like they did to me. You will also have to be a circus animal one day—that's how the world is. But promise me this: never be a lion, brutal and cruel. Be a kind elephant who only fights when necessary."

Kid Noah smiled and said excitedly, "I promise."

—————

Noah walked forward in the direction of the doctors and nurses, who were frozen in fear. His shoes were leaving footprints of the security guard's blood as some flies started to gather around the corpse.

Noah clenched the knife and bolted toward one of the doctors, stabbing him multiple times in the heart. He then turned left and started to walk again. Nurses, doctors, and even patients were screaming and stampeding in all directions. Sirens were wailing while Noah walked stolidly.

Three guards blocked Noah's way, guns loaded in their hands.

"Don't you dare move! Surrender!"

Noah stopped, staring at them with bloodshot eyes. He sighed and started to walk in the opposite direction. The guards, astonished, pulled the trigger without thinking twice.

Noah swiftly jumped behind the main desk on that floor and used it as cover. The guards approached the desk warily. One of them sneaked closer and saw Noah sitting peacefully, his eyes even bloodier.

"I want a good sleep."

Not a second later, he dashed toward one of the guards and stabbed him in the neck. Before the remaining guards could react, he grabbed a laptop and threw it at one of them, distracting both. Then he took the gun from the guard he had stabbed and—

"SHOOT!"

"SHOOT!"

Noah stood there, his hands, feet, and clothes engulfed in blood. His eyes were so bloodshot they looked as if they were about to burst. The room fell silent. Not a single living soul remained. Flies surrounded the bodies of the security guards.

He threw the gun away. He took the lift and pressed the second-to-last floor button. When he arrived, he saw people in a panicked state. One person noticed him and screamed at the top of his lungs in terror:

"The psychopath is here! We're all going to die!"

The atmosphere turned chaotic again. Everyone began running for their lives, screaming in fear.

Noah walked silently, but suddenly a man tried to hit him with a chair. Without thinking twice, Noah slashed his stomach open. The cut was so deep that the intestines were visible. The man cried in agony.

"Please! I have a son and a six-month-pregnant wife. I just wanted to get out of this mess—that's why I did it. I didn't intend to harm you! Please…"

Noah stared at him with mocking pity and, without saying a word, left him alone and threw a medical kit toward him. Then Noah started walking toward the stairs, but he heard police sirens. Noah ran into a hospital room, grabbed a fire extinguisher, threw it at a window, shattered it, and jumped out.

Below was a small restaurant where he landed successfully. He suffered no injuries—the height wasn't great, and after all, he couldn't feel pain.

—————

Noah walked silently down a dark, empty street, covered in blood.

"You know things can go right if you just stop."

Noah turned toward the voice and saw Vyuk standing there with a gun in his hand. Noah sighed.

"I don't think so. Now they'll just kill me."

"Listen, Noah. You still have a—"

Before Vyuk could finish, Noah threw a trash can at him. Vyuk dodged it with difficulty, and Noah immediately charged at him, trying to slash him with the knife—but missed as Vyuk barely avoided it.

Vyuk tried to fire, but Noah kicked him in the chin, knocking him backward. Noah stabbed Vyuk's right hand—the one holding the gun—but Vyuk's grip was too tight. He grabbed Noah's knife hand and headbutted it.

Noah felt no pain, but the impact dazed him for a second. Before he could recover, Vyuk tried to fire again—but stopped.

"I can't… I can't… Emma will never forgive me"

Vyuk mumbled. But Noah showed no mercy. He punched Vyuk brutally. Vyuk tried to shoot again, but Noah kicked him in the stomach, knocking him down and his gun fell of from his hand. Vyuk tried to stand, but Noah shot him with his gun in the right ankle.

"Ugh… you bastard! Curse you!"

Noah started walking away. Vyuk tried to stop him.

"Aren't you going to kill me? Where are you going?"

Noah looked back and said, "Take care of Emma."

"Everything is going to be alright. Please stop," Vyuk pleaded.

"You also know the law, and I also know it."

With that, Noah walked away. Police sirens grew louder.

—————

In a dark alley, the messy man who had been selling drugs to children was walking. Suddenly, he heard a voice from behind.

"You're the one who was selling drugs to kids, weren't you?"

The messy man turned around and saw a man with bloodshot eyes. His hands were empty but bloody, and his blue patient uniform and shoes were soaked in blood. It was Noah.

"Yes, I do," the messy man said nonchalantly.

"Okay then."

Without hesitation, Noah started punching the man repeatedly.

**

Some time later, the man lay dead, blood pouring from his face. Noah took the drugs and the purse. He smelled the drugs.

"It's not the same as that black pill,"

Noah said disappointedly.
