Karasuma Mansion – En Route
Karasuma Renya leaned lightly on his cane.
"Butler," he said calmly, "prepare the car."
"Yes, my lord."
As the engine started, Renya lifted a secure phone and dialed a number that only a handful of people in the world were allowed to receive.
The call connected instantly.
"Lord Renya," a deep voice said. "What can I do for you?"
"Rum," Renya replied.
"Check Keith's bank account records. Bring everything to Karasuma Group Headquarters."
"…Understood."
The call ended.
Karasuma Group Headquarters – Chairman's Office
The moment Renya entered the private elevator and stepped into the chairman's office, he saw them.
Rum was already there.
Vermouth, her disguise removed, stood calmly beside him.
Darius and Clara Runcandel sat comfortably, as if this place belonged to them as much as it did to Renya.
It did.
"Renya," Darius said, smiling faintly.
"Old friend," Renya replied, his lips curving.
"And my in-laws."
Clara laughed softly.
"It's been too long."
They exchanged light jokes—memories of the past, wars survived, enemies buried—before taking their seats.
Renya's gaze sharpened slightly.
"Now," he said, looking at Darius,
"why did you ask me to check Keith's bank account?"
Darius folded his hands.
"Our grandson lives… too frugally," he said quietly.
"He has nothing. Almost nothing."
Renya nodded slowly.
"…I see."
He turned his gaze to Rum.
"Report."
Rum stepped forward and placed the tablet on the table.
"Master Keith's account currently holds almost no liquid funds," Rum reported.
"But the transaction history tells a different story."
The screen lit up.
Jewelry.
Luxury purses.
Designer clothing.
High-end gifts.
One after another.
Rum's voice darkened.
"All purchases were made using Master Keith's card."
A silence fell.
Rum clenched his fist.
"…Harumi Kurosaki used Master Keith's money to buy things for herself."
He paused.
"And she also used it to purchase gifts for Kazuto Amamiya."
For a single heartbeat—
Nothing happened.
Then—
The air cracked.
A suffocating killing intent exploded outward.
From Vermouth.
From Darius.
From Clara.
From Karasuma Renya.
From Rum.
The room felt like a battlefield moments before slaughter.
Clara smiled.
A soft, gentle smile—
But anyone who knew her understood.
She wanted the Kurosaki and Amamiya families erased.
"They didn't just betray him," Clara said softly.
"They robbed him."
Darius's voice was cold enough to freeze steel.
"They dared to treat our kindness as weakness."
Renya tapped his cane lightly on the floor.
"…Unacceptable."
Rum bowed slightly.
"I have already blocked Master Keith's card."
Everyone nodded.
"Good," Renya said.
He turned to Rum again.
"Are there any Karasuma-affiliated companies doing business with the Kurosaki or Amamiya families?"
"Yes, my lord."
"Cancel all deals."
No hesitation.
"Yes, my lord."
Renya's eyes gleamed darkly.
"This is only the beginning."
The fate of Kurosaki
and Amamiya
had just been sealed.
And Keith—
didn't even need to lift a finger.
