Chapter 603 - Chapter 603 Are you crazy?

Finishing speaking, Strange took the initiative to walk toward the two ultrron robots, without taking another look at the Illuminati on the high platform.

He calmly accepted his destiny, following these killing machines step by step toward the road to the end of life.

He had no fear, nor any rejection of death.

In those countless days and nights of losing Christine, he had once sat alone in the darkness of the New York Sanctum, and that feeling was more painful than death.

And now, he slipped that diamond ring onto Christine's hand.

Hearing her personally say that phrase "I do", this was already a perfect ending.

Christine stood frozen in place.

Her ears kept echoing Strange's parting words.

"No matter how reality changes, in every Universe, I love you."

She looked down at the ring in her hand.

This was not just a ring, this was a promise, a promise she had waited for so long, even thinking she could never wait for it in this lifetime.

And now, the man who gave this promise was walking towards the Execution room.

Could this be the ending she wanted?

No.

Christine suddenly woke up.

She chased in the direction Strange left.

"Stop."

A cold voice sounded in front of her.

Mordo blocked her path like a statue, his eyes full of warning.

"Move aside, Mordo."

Christine looked at him coldly, her steps not stopping.

"Wake up, Dr. Palmer."

Mordo put his hands behind his back, saying slightly mockingly, "He is not your old lover. He is just a variant from another Universe. A dangerous... variant."

"This is none of your business."

Christine's tone was firm, "I just want to see him for the last time, nothing more."

"Go back, Christine."

Mordo's tone slowed slightly, "Tomorrow morning, the Sun will rise as usual, and your life will return to the right track."

"I said, move aside!"

Christine stared into Mordo's eyes, not yielding an inch.

Mordo narrowed his eyes, examining Christine's expression.

After a moment, he snorted coldly and stepped aside to make a path.

"Go. Go witness his destruction, maybe this can make you completely give up."

Christine didn't look at him again, crossed Mordo, and sprinted in the direction of the Execution room.

The Execution room was located on the ground floor of the building.

There was no extra decoration here, only cold walls and dazzling shadowless lamps.

In the center of the room was an alloy restraint bed.

Strange lay calmly on it.

His wrists and ankles were locked by electromagnetic locks, and a restraint ring was also fixed on his neck.

Two ultrron robots were operating the console.

Mechanical arms descended from the ceiling, and several syringes filled with transparent liquid poked out, aiming at Strange's neck veins.

No pain, no struggle.

The toxin would end his life within three seconds.

Just then, Strange heard the sound of glass tapping.

He turned his head.

Outside the quarantine glass of the Execution room, he saw Christine.

Her hair was a bit messy, her hands pressed tightly against the glass, her eye sockets red.

Strange looked at her, the corners of his mouth smiling slightly.

"Don't be sad."

He mouthed silently to her.

Tears slid down Christine's face outside the glass.

"Self-check complete. Target locked, Execution program initiated."

The robot's voice sounded in the room.

The syringe pushed forward.

"Screw the Illuminati."

Christine cursed in a low voice.

She took out the Baxter Foundation's advanced command controller without hesitation, skillfully plugging the controller into the data interface on the outer wall of the isolation room.

"Identity verification: Christine Palmer. Security level: Class A. Request to override current area robot control permissions."

Christine didn't pause, directly entering a string of permission backdoor keys.

"Permission override successful."

Inside the Execution room, the ultrron robot that was about to inject the lethal medicine into Strange's veins suddenly stopped its movement.

"Command changed, release target restraints."

With a few crisp clicks, the electromagnetic locks on Strange's body popped open simultaneously.

Strange looked at this scene in shock.

He propped up his body and looked toward the door in disbelief.

Christine strode into the Execution room, grabbed Strange's arm, her eyes brighter than ever before.

"Christine?"

Strange was full of bewilderment, "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

"Didn't you say you wanted to spend an ordinary person's life with me?"

Christine gripped his hand tightly, a wild smile raising the corners of her mouth.

"Yes!"

Strange nodded blankly.

"Then run!"

Christine didn't talk nonsense, pulled him up and turned to sprint outside the door.

The very next second they rushed out of the Execution room, the alarm of the entire building suddenly sounded.

"Alarm! Area C Execution room abnormal! Execution target has escaped! All combat units immediately go to intercept!"

"They react really fast."

Strange followed Christine shuttling through the intricate corridors, "Do you have a plan, Dr. Palmer?"

"The plan is to survive."

Christine quickly checked the controller's screen, "They are remotely shutting down my permissions. We must leave the main building area before the firewall resets."

Ahead in the corridor, a team of ultrron robot patrollers rushed out holding palm energy pulses.

"Stop! Head in hands, squat down, surrender immediately!"

The robot issued a warning.

"To the left!"

Christine shouted, pulling Strange into a fork in the road.

Several scorching energy rays flew past their bodies, hitting the wall and leaving scorched bullet holes.

"This is really exciting."

Not only was Strange not afraid, he instead laughed.

"I must admit, the way you pulled me and ran just now was very charming."

"Shut up, Stephen. Save your stamina for running."

Christine skillfully connected the controller to a terminal interface on the wall.

"I am trying to crack the ventilation system of this area."

"This is your turf, right?"

"Of course, half of the technical equipment in this building is logistically maintained by the Baxter Foundation."

Christine tapped the virtual keyboard.

"Done. The security door ahead will be forced open for three seconds."

"Are you ready?"

Christine put away the equipment and looked at Strange.

Strange smiled and nodded.

"Whatever you say, Officer."

The access control green light lit up, and the two slammed out of cover.

The door closed heavily behind them, blocking the robot's firepower outside.

The two leaned back against the heavy security door, panting slightly.

This was an underground equipment layer of the Illuminati, full of thick pipes and roaring cooling systems.

"We are temporarily safe."

Christine wiped the cold sweat from her forehead.

"This leads directly to the underground garage."

They moved quickly along the narrow passage.

The Illuminati's building was simply too big, and even if the alarm resounded across the sky, it was impossible to completely seal off every corner in a few minutes.

What's more, Christine knew the blind spots here like the back of her hand.
