He stood up and grabbed his coat. "Get ready," he said. "We're going to steal our first destiny."
She hesitated for a second. Then, she stood up too.
"And me?" she asked. "What role do I play in all this?"
Lin Mo thought it, without hiding it:
"My eyes."
"My anchor."
"And the proof that I can change history without losing everything."
She heard him. And for the first time… she smiled.
