Chapter 177 - Chapter 177: Dislike

In this household, both Sei and Eu had a tacit understanding not to use their special abilities to do anything excessive. Even Haruna had recently stopped using her magic recklessly at home, instead locking herself in her room tinkering with things.

But Sei could no longer care about that. As a god, she felt something bad—something she disliked—similar to foreseeing the future.

A pure, sacred light flashed briefly in her golden eyes as Sei used her divine authority to perform an environmental read of time within the house.

She saw Eu from some time ago, saw her in the living room after eating too many oranges and accidentally biting into a bitter membrane, her face flushing and her body growing uncomfortable.

Eu fainted in the living room, and it was Scarlet and the Manjuus who discovered something was wrong and notified Haruna, who brought her into the room and carefully took care of her.

After that, Raize returned, was informed by Haruna, and a series of events followed.

Crack!

The drink cup in Sei's hand was suddenly crushed into fragments by her slender, delicate fingers. Sweet cola flowed down from her hand and spilled onto the floor.

"Sister Sei, are your hands okay?"

Seeing this, Asia's concern overrode her fear. She anxiously grabbed Sei's hand, checking left and right for injuries.

After confirming there was none, she took tissues and gently wiped Sei's hand.

The Biblical loli God made no movement, allowing Asia to hold and wipe her hand. She stared expressionlessly toward the bathroom.

In her vision, she "saw" Raize carrying Eu, whose clothes were disheveled, into the bathroom, then carrying her back to her room.

She did not look into Eu's room, because doing so would definitely be sensed by Eu. Although she did not know what happened afterward…

Seeing Raize appear the next day bearing Eu's power, and Eu with her flushed face and shy eyes, it was hard for the Biblical loli God not to overthink.

"Asia, I'm fine."

Sei said this without any emotional fluctuation, then, to Asia and Haruna's astonishment, dispersed into particles of light and vanished.

Asia and Haruna exchanged uneasy looks.

They did not know what had suddenly come over Sei, but it was certainly nothing good.

The Biblical loli God did not go far. She appeared on the roof of Raize's house, following the traces of Raize's and Eu's aura from earlier that day. Her eyes, flickering with golden light, gazed into the distance.

When she looked toward the park, her delicate, adorable face instantly scrunched up, her expression turning sour.

Suddenly, her gaze shifted slightly as if she had seen something surprising. She immediately withdrew her sight and teleported back home.

Far away, inside a certain novel shop, two golden-haired, peerlessly beautiful women—now dressed differently and carrying shopping bags filled with books and daily necessities—both froze at the same moment.

Though their beauty naturally drew attention, passersby inexplicably ignored them as if they could not be seen at all.

The two were none other than the heavenly Seraph Gabriel and the devil realm's Beelzebub of the Pandevilium Hall. Disguised in human attire, they had just arrived in the human world not long ago, planning to find time to converse with the forces from another world.

Before that, there had been an otherworldly invasion here. Michael had informed Gabriel to stay and observe for a while instead of rushing back.

Beelzebub was the same—using the otherworldly invasion as an excuse to stay behind and… observe. Very carefully observe.

But just now, both the great angel and the great devil had simultaneously sensed something unusual.

It was as if… a fleeting gaze had passed over them.

If some other special existence had merely used an ability and glanced past them without lingering impolitely, they would not have reacted much.

But that gaze was strange, and… familiar. A sudden, inexplicable agitation stirred in their hearts.

Beelzebub and Gabriel exchanged looks and recognized the abnormality in each other, confirming it was not an illusion.

"Bubu, I… I feel my heart stirring. You feel it too, right? Who was the owner of that gaze? I… I have an urge to see them!"

Gabriel scanned the direction from which the gaze had come, anxiously trying to find its owner. She did not understand why she felt compelled to do so—only that the impulse in her heart drove her forward.

What was she expecting? Even she did not know, nor did she think in overly dramatic terms.

"Gabriel, you… you're crying!?"

Beelzebub, whose reaction had been weaker than Gabriel's, also looked in that direction. But when she glanced at Gabriel, she was shocked to see two clear tear tracks sliding down Gabriel's exquisitely beautiful face, dripping from her pale chin onto the ground—yet she had not even noticed.

That helpless, crying expression was heartbreaking and aroused pity.

"Huh? I… why am I…?"

Hearing Beelzebub's surprised voice, Gabriel snapped out of it, dumbfounded. She raised a hand uncertainly to touch the tears on her face, then stared blankly at the droplets on the ground.

Why was she crying?

A powerful feeling of loss and emptiness filled her heart. When was the last time she felt like this?

Gabriel frowned slightly as she pondered, yet there was a sacred place in her heart she refused to explore further.

Beelzebub watched Gabriel's lost expression without interrupting.

Though her own reaction had been weaker, her mood was not good either.

Who exactly had glanced at them just now and caused such an instinctive response?

Beelzebub was extremely curious and very eager to investigate after finishing her business.

Back at home, Raize looked around and did not see Laffey. While taking a shower, he opened his mental link chat room and found that Laffey was training and chatting with other shipgirls in the small world.

Out of curiosity, he began lurking.

[Laffey]: Little sisters, how are your practical training results lately? Please report in~

[Roon]: You're just a destroyer. Fine for the other little ships, but you calling us battleship and carrier big sisters 'little sisters' is really something.

[Friedrich]: Eagle Union's little destroyer, please don't call me 'little sister.' If my dear children heard that, it would definitely lower my impression score.

[Monarch]: I also don't want to be called a little sister by a destroyer. It undermines my dignity…

[Bismarck]: Agreed. Even though my sister Tirpitz hasn't been born yet, I am still an older sister.

[Laffey]: Heh heh~ Laffey is a starter ship. Laffey is stronger than all of you. As long as you can't beat me, you'll always be little sisters!

[All the big-sister shipgirls]: ...
