Elio realized instantly that these vampires weren't merely moving randomly, even though it seemed like they were. Their movements were quite coordinated as they slowly trapped everyone within the area, closing the gaps slowly before anyone could escape.
It took him a second to notice that, but when he did, Elio's doubts that this was some sort of plan executed by some entity disappeared; he was now certain they weren't just attacking out of sheer coincidence.
'This is bad. This is really bad.' He muttered as he tried to think of a way out. Fiona was a good distance away from him, and she could possibly be out of range. He cannot just wait for her to come back for him.
"Let's go, Grandma! We will go inside that building!" He said as he grabbed her hand and rushed quickly toward the closest building. Since people's natural instinct was to run out rather than in, it was easily accessible.
"Get in!"
