I awoke to the most miserable feeling imaginable.
I felt like I could feel my brain getting every molecule of blood in excruciating detail. I groaned as I blinked once and immediately regretted it, my vision flipped like I was in the middle of a somersault.
Blinking again made it worse.
The darkened ceiling made faces that were impossible to replicate humanly as light violently flooded into my retinas.
I looked left and my eyes strained in the movement, I wasn't in a bed nor a cot. Rather, I was on the table I was drinking on, just, laid on top of it and drank myself to sleep.
My eyes went back to the ceiling with the speed of a brick as I contemplate my suicide.
The doors opened loudly as footsteps came closer and a familiar face came into my vision.
"Ivarr" I spoke and it sounded like my suffering made in verbal form.
Ivarr glanced at the empty barrels surrounding me before he slowly slid his eyes towards me.
"You've clearly enjoyed yourself" Ivarr stared into my blank eyes.
"…you're loud"
"Your hungover - an achievement for an Astartes"
"Shut up" less a command and more a plea.
"I would say get up, however your state is that comparable to a fresh wolf seeing war for the first time" Ivarr spoke as he took a seat on the bench.
He stared at my laid out form for a moment "I'm here to collect you and bring you to the surface, temporary armor have been arranged"
He grabbed my hand and forced me up "now, get up"
Getting up would be a task that I wouldn't be able to complete, I only managed to prop myself up with my elbows and the impossible colors came back and I retreated back to the safety of the wooden table.
"Is the Blessed Wolf unable to get up after one night of drinking?" Ivarr attempted to rile me up to get me up on my feet.
"Yes" I said, full of misery.
Ivarr sighed as I grabbed me by the arm and pulled me down, I slammed down into the unforgiving ground as I groaned at the movement.
The motion of me slamming into the floor made me want to puke but be it because I haven't eaten in a while or the fact that I was now supernatural I managed to keep my stomach.
"I'm…" huffed as I pushed up from the ground "up!"
It was a victory shout that shook my ears and made my eyes water. The floor moved, or it seemed to move on its own.
"What happened down there?"
Ivarr frowned "we seriously underestimated Angron and his assault; as such we've taken most defenders and moved to the lower hemisphere, once you've dawned your temporary armor you will face a challenge that…"
Ivarr pursed his lips, unable to be sure how to continue on his sentence.
"A challenge that'll test you" Ivarr settled as I nodded towards him and my vision uncomfortably blurred around the edges.
"…six barrels… I'm impressed" Ivarr smirked as I started to follow him, the floor seemingly protested every step I took.
"What happened to that… Purple woman?" words failed to describe the being I remember.
"You killed her, and surprisingly in your drunken haze slaughtered the rest responsible before you returned to your drinking" Ivarr smiled as he spoke, no doubt relishing in the fact that traitors died to a drunken Space Marine.
"I need to sober up" I said honestly.
"You won't have time" Ivarr spoke instantly as he opened a door and serfs waited for me in the middle of a room, a raised dial in the middle with incense that filled the room.
It made me want to sneeze.
I walked forwards, no longer willing to hesitate or I just felt like I would throw up at the fact that my vision was akin to that of a rainbow swirly.
I stopped in the middle of the dial as official Space Wolf armor was finally donned onto me, the biological links and neural links both being harmlessly inserted into myself.
The armor was grey, reminding me of a cold color of iron, both shoulder pouldrons held the insignia of the Space Wolves along with their yellow and black color.
No helmet was placed on me, which I was fine with, I really didn't like the red tint my vision was forced to be in when wearing the Deathwatch armor.
A fur belt was fastened onto me, its fur was grey as well, and only reached my upper thigh, and finally the backpack was mag locked to the back of my armor.
"The armor you're wearing lacks a helmet due to the brother who wore it died via a Khornite blade to the head" Ivarr helpfully supplied as I turned around and found him only half the room away from me.
"Weapons?" I asked as I nursed my head with my now gauntleted hands.
"Will be on the Thunderhawk, we are to go and assist the Sixth company - led by Jarl Eivor Ironwolf - there with tanks and wolf guards you and I will advance and take down one of The Twelve"
I interrupted Ivarr "wait, The Twelve?" I asked, confused.
"Twelve of Khorne's strongest Daemons, each have broken worlds and pleased the blood god in their path for their own glory" Ivarr frowned as he explained.
"The Ironwolves are tasked with dispatching the tenth strongest - Karanak, a massive three headed beast that's as fast as it is deadly; we must be careful when dealing with such a beast." Ivarr gestured for me to follow.
"Anything else I should know?" I asked as I walked half a step behind him.
"Jarl Eivor isn't one for talk, he is mostly no nonsense; not only that but he isn't really keen on testing you himself, as he has doubts on your blessings, as such he'll test you on the act of fighting Karanak"
"Oh," Ivarr seemed to remember "the Ironwolves have the most terminators in their ranks"
"Okay?" I shrugged not really seeing how'd that'll help my situation.
"Just a little fact" Ivarr smirked a bit.
———————————
Nearly half of every Space Wolf that the Ironwolves had were wearing terminator armor - almost making the armor seem normal.
Almost.
"You are Agnar" Eivor wasn't much in terms of a Space Marine, bald like me, but his beard was braided and nearly reached his knees, he was missing his right eye and replaced it with a mechanical one that glowed red.
His arms were massive - all due to two massive lightning fists that were the size of a mortal man if he was horizontally, on his back laid out the symbol of a wolf covered in iron plating no doubt a ward to protect from corruption and to serve as his company's symbol.
"Yes, my lord" I respected his rank.
He nodded in acknowledgment "you are to go reinforce the guardsmen and your brothers in the battle that Karanak is approaching; do not be deceived by its size, the beast is fast and beyond deadly"
Eivor narrowed his single eye at me "I will not hold you here, kill the Daemon and we shall see what happens next"
Ivarr, wasn't kidding about his directness.
I nodded as the Ironwolves around me and the mortals were preparing greatly, with artillery and tanks being both supplied and mounted I couldn't help but think that this was a bit much no?
I looked out beyond our battlements, the ground was still muddied with unmentionables and the pollution in the sky made it difficult to make out anything that wasn't either a trick of the light or a visage of a large Daemon in the reddening fog.
"What manner of beast is Karanak?" I asked as I studied the flickering reddening smog.
"A hound" Ivarr stood to my left "Karanak isn't a thinking beast, from what little we know he is a Beast that likes to hunt those who has betrayed their god"
"Making it the reaper of traitors… how can a traitor betray?" I asked jokingly.
"Look at Khârn" Ivarr replied.
"Eh, did Khârn really betray? Or did he simply fulfill the will of his cowering god?" I questioned.
"…both?" Ivarr, seemed to be steaming over my questions.
"Who cares, Khârns' dead" I shrugged.
"Banished" Ivarr corrected and seeing my raised eyebrow he continued on.
"Traitors cannot be killed as you no doubt know, especially Khârn, no doubt he'll be back within a century or two"
"Probably won't come back after I kicked his ass!" I chuckled a bit and sadly Ivarr remained stonefaced.
Eivor approached us from behind and we made our salutes as the Jal of the Sixth company walked forwards.
"The hour is nigh, the Daemons and traitors will approach and with them, fifteen daemon engines, well over a hundred traitor Astartes and thousands of Cultists; I need you, Agnar to assist myself and my Wolf Guard in taking down Karanak"
"…I am not joining the initial assault?" I asked.
"Aye, it is a small force by the terms of traitors, but Karanak is more than enough to break a well placed Astartes company, as such most of our forces will be used to deal with it. If you are to fall before that… it wouldn't be good for morale." Eivor stared into my eyes as he spoke coldly.
"Morale?" I asked.
"You yet understand the sheer gravity your existence brings to both wolf and mortals, do you not see it? Not hear it?" Eivor gestured and I began to look around.
Even hungover I could see it in the mortal eyes - reverence. They looked upon me like that of an archangel made real in their eyes, while the unhelmeted Space Wolves looked to be silently worshiping me, some even kneeling towards me.
"Wait, I'm being-" I didn't get to finish.
"Yes" Eivor nodded once "you are being worshipped by both wolf and mortal, as such I must scrutinize you"
I don't know how to feel about this, being worshipped was wild. Nothing about me - to myself - was so impressive that I was in a place where I could be worshipped.
"They see you as a saint, do not fail them" Eivor spoke as he looked on behind me towards the Smog.
"Commence bombardment, I want the wore down" Eivor commanded into his vox channel, and not even a second later both tanks and artillery began to fire into the smog as howls of rage and violence came beyond sight.
I inhaled slightly, the smell of blood was strong, ash was too, tank shells flew and struck either ground or target while artillery brought the ground up and buried those unfortunate enough to be close to their targeted coordinates.
The ground shook as explosions rocked the area before us, with a light show happening all around us I couldn't help but feel fat out of my element. The banging of tanks and artillery also seemed to erase my hangover almost immediately; as if a click happened and I sobered up as immediately as my body recognized war.
The smog before us, hundreds of kilometers away flickered with explosions with figures of horrid monstrosities made of violence, blood, and copper flashed with light.
I didn't see Karanak yet, or rather its figure, I kept gazing out to see the three-headed beast, however all I found was that of raging traitors.
The storm bolter in my hand seemed weightless as I gazed out, the chainsword on my hip was silent, not because I wasn't holding it nor because I activated it. Rather, the machine spirit inside that I could feel was silent, just waiting for the moment I allowed it to speak.
"Do you see the beast?" I asked out loud.
"No" Ivarr spoke first.
"Karanak is most likely in the back - cowardly beast" Eivor spoke out as he clenched his power fists, lightning danced along his arms.
"Furies inbound!" A Commissar barked out, and he was right looking slightly up showed much smaller versions of a Bloodthirster, numbering in the thousands yet each one was the size of half a man, however they had fur around their neck and from what I can see sharp claws - enough to bisect a guardsman.
"Guardsmen, Ironwolves, take the furies down; I will not have our strength be hounded down by weak Daemons" Eivor ordered over his vox.
Thousands upon thousands of violent red lasers came out from all around us as the sky was turned red. When the lasbolts hit their targets they turned the Khornite Furies into reddened vapor that floated down to the ground harmlessly.
I didn't fire, not yet.
"Lord Wolf" I spoke to Eivor "how many lesser Daemons do they have?"
"Same if not as more than they do as mortals" he spoke monotonously as he kept his eyes to beyond the smog.
"Not good then" I sighed as Ivarr nodded.
A horn, one that blared out its rage that couldn't be put into words as I looked back down towards the smog and saw the force that we were to eradicate.
Eivor spoke the truth when he said the numbers of traitors we were facing. The fifteen lumbering carcasses of Daemon Engines poured forth from the smog as thousands upon thousands of horrid malevolent beings that all wished to crush our skull and add them to their gods' throne.
But it was far from the force Angron and Khârn had.
This was doable.
"Artillery, I want them dead" Eivor spoke as the artillery guns moved, the clicks in the mechanisms were so loud I felt the vibrations in the ground.
And they fired.
The ground shook much more violently as the explosive shells rattled the traitorous forces below us, dirt, mud, and long dead bodies were kicked up hundreds of kilometers into the sky, making the aftermath so, so, so much worse than it ever could have ever been.
The traitors below only bellowed in either rage or acceptance that their blood would flow to their god rather than ours.
"How big is Karanak?" I asked.
"Not as big as a Bloodthirster" Ivarr supplied "but it's bigger than that of a regular Flesh Hound of Khorne"
"As big as a Primarch" Eivor spoke as if he stared at the smog like he was looking at the most hated thing in existence.
"This is the tenth strongest?" I spoke curiously.
"Aye, Khorne has trillions of Daemons at his beck and call, fewer favored, even fewer are Daemon Princes, and even fewer are as favoured as The Twelve as well as Angron himself" Ivarr grimaced.
"I'm just happy we're not dealing with Tzeentch and his trickery - although… I wouldn't say no to cracking a few of Thousand Sons heads" Ivarr smiled to himself as he got lost into his own thoughts.
"Stop day dreaming Wolf Priest" Eivor blankly stated "I need you and your ways to stay in the materium"
"Aye" Ivarr nodded.
"Anything else to note about the beast?" I asked hoping for more information.
"I have given you all we know"
"Unfortunate" I said simply.
"For us? Or for them?" Ivarr smirked slightly.
"There!" Eivor, since the first few moments since I met the man, had a twinge of emotion in his being as he pointed.
I followed his finger, and I saw what could only be called a Cerebus from greek mythology. Three blood thirsty heads with strangely frills at the back of their heads, each jaw was dripping in fresh blood as its razor sharp teeth bleed out infinite blood.
The figure of the beast was an easy threeish meter tall being from where I was standing, the body was red as any other Khornite daemon was; the claws were pitch black and beyond sharp from what I saw in my previous life, behind Karanak was a long reptilian tail that threatened to swipe at anyone dumb enough to get behind it.
"Damn, that's a big dog" I cussed as Ivarr glanced at me.
"Foul beast will feel the wrath of Fenris" Eivor declared as he activated his vox unit once more.
"All available Astartes I want your fire focused upon the foul beast!" Eivor barked out and almost immediately afterwards bolters sang out in an orchestra of promised pain and death.
They pelted the leathery skin of Karanak, acting like glitter along its skin rather than actual bolters that can rend a mortal man into a red paste.
"That includes you too!" Ivarr spoke over the firing bolters and then I realized that he was talking to me.
The Stormbolter sang in my hands, the twin barreled weapon gave out massive punishment and its drum magazine only gave me lasting punishment.
Or it would've.
Karanak's skin, even against my weapon - because why would I be any different? - only added to the glittering sparks against its leathery skin.
"Artillery! Direct fire now!" Eivor didn't even need to give coordinates as the Daemon dog was in sight.
Within a minute the artillery began again, this time all fully directing their sheer fury against a singular target unlike before where it was spread out.
The consequence was catastrophic.
A continuous barrage of a multitude of colors assaulted my eyes going from orange to yellow every half second, the muddy ground kicked up thousands of meters up, making it look like a line of meteors have hit a single place in existence.
"That has to get 'em" I said almost immediately upon seeing this.
"You'd be surprised" Ivarr immediately answered me as the artillery continued to rain down its judgment like a gavel giving out the sentencing to a criminal.
It for naught.
As Karanak slowly pushed itself through the furious flames and its form began to break through the cascade of smog made from the barrage.
"I blade you for jinxing it Ivarr" I immediately blamed anyone that wasn't me.
"How's that my fault?" Ivarr questioned.
Karanak began to prance forwards, no longer stalking forwards but rather pushing itself forwards with a speed nothing its size should ever have.
"Damn!" I cussed as Karanak crossed hundreds of Kilometers in a minute.
"Got anything Eivor?!" I dropped the rank as I began to shoot my storm bolter, knowing damn well it wouldn't do anything.
"Wolves! Prepare for close combat!" Eivor ordered as I dropped the Storm bolter, which strangely immediately maglocked to my hip as I pulled out a blessed chainsword, The promethian fuel began to burn as the sea of teeth on the blade began to spin in fury.
Around me I heard multiple melee weapons being activated, from other chainswords, powerswords being activated, and other weapons I simply did not know yet.
"All Wolves focus on bringing down Karanak!" Eivor ordered as he bolted towards my left, down a rampart and towards the guardsmen regiment that was with us.
I looked back down and calculated where Karanak was going towards, to the left of me - where Eivor is going, but I looked at the other Daemons; they weren't going in the same direction.
Before I had more time to contemplate on what they were doing, Karanak started to seemingly went full speed, from what seemed to be a jog to a sprint, clearing kilometers like inches.
"Fuck!" I cussed as I went to the left to join Eivor as Ivarr followed me.
Karanak jumped over us, releasing three blood filled howls, the massive beast cleared a few kilometers in one jump, soaring over us and landing beyond the fortified area we're in.
"Damn it!" Eivor cussed "it's going for the artillery, wolves go to the artillery encampment and take it down!"
I blinked then twice as a horrible realization came to me "my lord! The guardsmen!"
I looked to my right, the artillery no longer bombarding down on them and no longer having guardsmen firing at them - due to shock - allowed the Khornite daemons to advance unopposed.
"They will be fine, have faith; they've held the line for ten thousand years, they can - and will hold it for ten thousand more" Eivor spoke over the vox as I ran.
"Ivarr?" I questioned.
"They will live, especially with the Commissars behind them - you worry too much" Ivarr spoke as I climbed up a ridge and went out in the open and saw the artillery guns in the distance.
My now enhanced mind calculated the distance easily, only a kilometer, and I saw other Space wolves running with most or if not all their might towards the encampment.
I saw further in the distance the red beast itself tearing apart a massive artillery gun in two with it's three heads. It's fast, strong, and massive, like fighting a massive beast in God of War.
I blinked as I saw terminator wearing Ironwolves hitching rides in vehicles, all while using their limited range weaponry to fire at the massive dog in the distance.
"This will be a disaster" I muttered to myself as I began to jog towards the artillery encampment as Ivarr followed close behind.
Mud kicked up from my feet, as I ran forwards, the air felt genuinely heavy, not just polluted but also heavy with the weight of what I was going towards; it wasn't Khârn, a mortal turned champion of Khorne but rather a genuine beast of Khorne, one that - to my knowledge- is a great threat to everyone it comes in contact with.
The beast, now that I was closer, was bigger than three meters, more like three and a half, and I only fully realized the danger when a disfigured Rhino nearly crushed me which I had to dodge.
The flaming wreckage held a flailing Space Wolf that landed in the muddy ground and rolled away indignantly as flames trailed him.
I turned my attention back towards the fight that I was yet a part of and began to jog once again, this time I was more aware of the incoming unpleasantries. From flying dead Space Wolves, flaming wreckage, or just the scrap metal of an artillery piece that threatened to crush both myself and Ivarr at once.
"The beast is throwing everything around it towards us" Ivarr spoke.
"It's smarter than it looks!"
"Aye!" Ivarr spoke as he dodge a flying Space wolf that was in terminator armor.
When we reached the battle grounds, it was far worse than anyone could think, Karanak treated the area like its own kennel, from crushing everything around it, to quite literally throwing people around, to even using a rhino as a chew toy.
It was playing as well as killing.
"Strike it down!" Eivor's voice came from my right as his massive armored form advanced with his wolf guard surrounding Karanak.
It didn't matter much but I charged anyways.
I managed to sidestep an incoming space wolves that landed in the ground unceremoniously before I continued my way, only for a massive Rhino to get in my way, I had to jump over it.
Landing greeted me with something a little different, this time I had to deal with a red sweeping tail, rolling to the side, I looked forwards just in time to see one of the three heads snapping its bloody maul towards me.
Rolled forwards, now underneath its massive neck, I took the chance almost immediately and stabbed upwards with my chainsword, I only got a foot in, but that was more than enough to draw blood - and to make the beast rage over me.
Warm blood splashed over me, dropping all over my face and form. The chainsaw attached to the blade dug into the red flesh of the beast, Karanak roared above me.
It jumped up, and I was forced to roll back once again to avoid getting stomped on like an ant as blood flowed out of the wound I gave it.
Once I got my feet again I swiped left and drew more blood along its left leg.
This was a mistake.
As soon as I did that, the leg I attacked went directly to the body of Karanak and kicked me away, I found myself making a small divot along the ground as I unflatteringly tasted the ground.
I valiantly rolled to the right avoiding another paw strike, then another, and then another; this time I saw Ivarr jump up with two twin power axes and with an overhead sledgehammer strike dig into the right side of the beast.
Karanak didn't like this one bit.
With its massive frame, it jumped back with a yelp and a hiss all at once, it went from being over me to being nearly fifty meters away in all but a second.
Through the destruction I saw it's eyes on one of its heads lock eyes with my own and I couldn't help but feel a small chill through my back.
I blinked once before I saw Eivor's Wolfguard jump in and attempt to bring the beast down. The terminator wearing Astartes should've been slow, or they should've been slow in the eyes of a regular human.
They moved with the speed of an Olympic runner before they met with the reddened meat dog that was Karanak.
Both terminator and blood flew freely from both Space Wolf and from Karanak, I was forced to roll as the upper part of a dead space wolf flew above me.
I exhaled softly as I picked up a dropped Powersword and threw it with all my might towards Karanak as I ran towards the Khornite beast.
The Powersword tore through the air like a missile fresh off the silo, the power field that made the blade deadly shined through the air making it look more like a lightning bolt rather than a sword.
The Powersword struck truer than most other weapons against the beast, it struck its most leftist head through the head. Karanak now sporting a brand new blade through the snout of its left head howled both in rage and pain.
The sound created a shockwave so perceivable by the naked human eye that it moved dirt around its body.
"Fall down!" Eivor yelled out as his massive form came down on the hound like a transhuman lightning bolt, his power fist came down on its center head and Karanak's form laid down due to the sheer force behind such a blow.
Karanak howled before Eivor could retaliate with another blow and forced Eivor back three paces.
Just three.
Eivor took a step and uppercutted the center head and the upper half of Karanak saw the ashen skies. Karanak didn't take this lying down and slammed it's right paw down onto Eivor forcing Eivor to take the brunt of the multi-ton creature all by himself.
Eivor sank into the mud, once only barely up to his boots, now almost up to his upper thigh, if Karanak went for another blow, Eivor would be forced to take it and be potentially buried in the mud.
I moved before that could happen.
I ran as the chainsword revved in my hand reaching the struggling form of Eivor in just under ten seconds, I smelt the fumes from the fuel used by the chainsword as I raised it over my head.
I slashed at the leg holding Eivor down, blood poured over the both of us, acting more like a water breaking from a dam rather than a fresh wound being opened.
Karanak reached down with one of its heads and attempted to bite me, I was forced to back off one rendered in two. Its snapping jaws were copper red, weeping with blood, and the steam that came from the jaws smelt of bone and blood.
Ivarr jumped in, this time his fist slammed into the left side of the head that was coming for me, the accuracy triumphed my own and tore out its right eye at the same time.
I rolled back as another howl came from Karanak as it thrashed back, no longer caring for what seemed to be regular fighting and went into throwing its literal weight around the makeshift arena.
I inhaled as I barely ducked under a tail whip which struck Eivor and tore him free from the mud, in turn he was tumbling end over end through the mud instead.
I merely winced.
I was forced to bring my eyes back to the ensuing chaos as I caught a flying Ivarr with my own body and I was forced to take the brunt of the hit and it was my turn to go end over end in the mud.
This time Karanak didn't follow and instead use the free time from the three of us to cause more chaos in the bodies and incoming both Wolfguard and Space Wolf.
I exhaled as a small bit of nausea came forth as I picked myself up from the mud.
"Damnable beast!" Ivarr cussed as he stood up "we must bring down the heads"
"That brings us in the range of its jaws" I spoke obviously.
"Don't tell me you are afraid" Ivarr spoke as he pulled out a double sided Poweraxe.
"…no, no I am not" I spoke.
"Then we will take it down" Ivarr said as he charged forwards. I was half a step behind him, chainsword revving in bloodthirsty rage.
Ivarr went behind a Wolfguard and appeared to the left of the beast while I myself went to the right, I was met with seething hatred from the form of Karanak. The beasts form bucked and heaved all the while blood flowed freely from the accumulated wounds that the blood hound has amassed.
I jumped and I gave the hound a downwards attack along the ribcage of the beast, the bloody teeth of my chainsword ate greedily into its flesh.
Maybe the beast was slow, maybe Eivor got back up and forced the beast back down again under his force, or maybe Ivarr took up all its attention forcing it to ignore my attacks.
Either way, I got into the bone of the beast before it took any notable action against me, and when it did it took me with it as I was against letting go of my only weapon.
I flew with the beast all the while the chainsword ate greedily into its flesh, forcing me to continuously go further down on its form, all while visceral blood followed my trail.
The beast landed on the ground and jumped up again all the while it yelped and roared in fury; I felt Karanak slam itself down onto the ground and when I looked to my right I saw Eivor and his hulking form giving it punch after punch on its central head.
My feet touched the ground and I tore my chainsword out of its ribcage, my chainsword tore through a solid four or so feet of flesh all while blood flowed down onto my form like a red waterfall.
I stabbed forwards as the chainsword ate its way into the flesh of the Tenth and gore covered me as I quickly realized that Karanak has a massive lack of organs, but rather has an utter mass of flesh and blood inside itself.
I placed my open hand into the side of Karanak and forced my way inside the body of the beast forcing the hole I made in the beast wider and wider all the while I heard snarls, howls, and roars of pain and rage.
Then a yelp and silence from Karanak.
The battlefield seemed to immediately quiet down as I deactivated my chainsword and backed away, as I did I saw the damage I did to the form of the blood hound.
From the Powersword to the giant gaping hole I made in the beast, wounds covered its form, from as small as nicks to as large as the Astartes sized hole I made in the side of the beast.
I panted as I backed away and made my way to the front of Karanak and saw Eivor standing in front of what could be called a central point of pulped flesh that used to be the central head.
"Good work" the dirtied and bloodied form of Eivor heaved as his massive powerfists were covered in blood.
"Aye" Ivarr came from the left side, also covered in blood and mid "beast was difficult to bring down"
Eivor looked around in a frown "half of the Wolf Guard even more injured: total loss… more than half the fighting power of the Ironwolves."
"Can we still fight?" I asked
"'Till the cold end" Eivor nodded as I looked back at the now dead form of Karanak and saw its form dissolving into warp stuff.
I sighed in both relief and mental exhaustion.
A/N: So 'The Twelve' have next to no information (or rather the information I found) other than describing them as "the twelve strongest Daemons of Khorne outside of Daemon Princes and Angron himself"
So I decided to take some creative liberty and decided to add Karanak into the mix, and let me tell you; He's difficult to write in a fight!
