As I left the river behind the sun wasn't far from setting aswell. It seems I wasted to much time on that river.
As I continued to walk for about an hour or so the sky was starting to get dark and my instincts were on, high alert.
It seems that some of these monster's are more active at night especially now that I realize, that this part of the forest is pretty dark and scary at night.
Huh. What a pain but hey let's think about the things I could do when I leave this forest.
I say to my self as I think of the adventures I could've but all of that was crushed by the fact that I will want a place to relax my self.
I mean I do want to explore this world and all but I feel it would be safer to do so when I have money, and people with money, strength and beauty yeah I'm pretty sure I'm cute and all girls will want to sleep with me.
Just imagining a cute girl squirming under me made me grin.Yeah i quickly realized that was just me trying to escape reality.
But this world like usual would not, allow me to daydream because the moment I relaxed my muscles just for a second, my instincts screamed at me while my ears tweached.
I immediately jumped to the right as a dark small figure passed near my abdomen, in crazy speed.
The moment it touched the ground it ran towards the bushes trying to hide it's self in shadows.
Before it completely vanished I quickly threw a fireball without coating it with my abyss element, so it could have a little lighting.
But the monster quickly dogdeg avoiding the flame and quickly looked back at me with those glowing, golden eyes and the flame I shot hit the bushes as it quickly set it aflame.
Which allowed me to see the monster that attacked me, it was a cat with blackfur with, with with a golden mark on it's forehead that was shaped like a sun and it had golden eyes.

While I was busy looking at it, my fox ears twitched as they picked up a faint sound of a twig being broken, I didn't even think before releasing a dozen Ice spikes in the direction where the sound came from. And released an dozen of ice spikes
I saw a dozen black figures running away from where I shot those ice spikes.
Simultaneously released another ice spikes about 10 to the cat infront of me, when it dodged to the left I immediately bound it with ice chains between it's ribs then killed it with an ice spike.
I stood up perking my ears as I was listening to my surroundings trying to find any source of sound that could help me, deal with those figures I saw previously but I'm sure they were shadow cats aswell.
A long uncomfortable silence that did nothing but to increase the un ease, that was gripping my heart with intensity and I could hear my own heart beating harder as the silent was to much to be, handled when facing monsters that specializes in shadow manipulation.
As the long grueling silence echoed while I was beginning to think maybe they left because it'd been nearly five minutes.
Since I had them and I haven't heard a sound not even a whisper of something still alive in this part of the forest.
When I decided to relax my already tense body for a second so I can catch my breath, and relax my breathing my instincts screamed at my back as I immediately created a dozen ice spikes, behind my back and there I saw it.
A cat clad in shadows as if the very shadows were it's home it was in mid air with it's paws aswell a mouth covered in, shadows as it lept towards me since it was in mod air I thought I had it in the bag literally.
Ohh how I was because I underestimate how egile cats are because when I released my ice spikes that numbered, around 30-40 it immediately tilted it's body to the side dodging one of my ice spikes and moving underneath it, while it used it's front paws for balance on the left ice spike.
And jumped to the higher right as it maintained its grip without allowing gravity to off set it then it immediately jumped so high up that all the 30-40, Ice spikes I shot just flowed beneath it then used it's shadow to on it's right paw to propell itself in the direction of my neck.
"How is t.." I didn't get to finish what I wanted to say as the shadow cat leared it's left paw towards my neck, and I immediately bent backwards as the agile cat grazed my front bangs with it's shadow claws.
A second didn't even pass as another as I felt another presence, to my right and it's direction it was aiming for my abdomen as I was already bent backwards.
Like the reasonable guy...erm.. girl I am I decided to let gravity pull me down to the ground, as I relaxed my body I immediately felt a pull as I allowed my self fall as the feline grazed my abdomen.
As I fell to the ground looking up I saw another cat above me and this ones right paw was clad in shadows, to the point where it could easily kill me in one strike and I mean it literally because the amount of mana I sense in that claw, that is nearing my like deaths scythe, is out of this world.
I tilted my body to the right as the cats shadow claws made a deep cut in my left cheek and rolled to, the ground and when I was about to stand up the second I got my in control another my instincts warned of the danger in every direction.
Out of pure instincts alone I jumped high up as I flipped my body towards my back, as I did I saw about 12-20 shadow cats minus the one I killed and they were sprinting in my direction not giving me any space to breathe.
And they were making z lines to confuse me but like the idiot I was in my past life while still in mid air, i swinged my right arm and created as many ice spikes as I can create with the mana I have and the battlefield instantly turned cold as a thousand ice spikes were created under a second.
Then send my feet touched the ground the ice spikes were released in every direction with a 10 mile radius, instantly killing every shadow cat in the vicinity and freezing it aswell.
Unknown to me I'd that the spell I released interrupted a sleeping bear that isn't far away from where we were, fighting and it was impaled by my ice spike instantly waking it up.
