Chapter 342 - Üç Yüz Kırk İki

"Are you pulling my leg?"

Nora spoke forcing her frowning eyebrows enough to break them; with her head tilted slightly to the side, she was looking at the guy's teeth visible while he grinned.

"Your new residence is here, the ward of the disciples who have resided in the Holy Blood Sect for the longest time. The least of these people have been here for ten years, try to benefit from their unique experiences!"

This explanation must not have been enough for the girl with blood-colored hair as she stood in front of the man trying to leave with small steps.

"Come off it man, who are you fooling. This is literally the Sect's dump, will we enter the hole where you stuffed types who couldn't amount to anything for all those years?"

Stopping suddenly upon the reaction he didn't expect, Vibora seemed tense; his hand went involuntarily towards his sword hanging on his waist, but right at that moment, he felt Count Jashua's body.

A drop of sweat started gliding down his spine; when this drop slowly descended and reached his waist, he was sure a pair of red eyes was constantly watching him.

"These are the decisions of the Third Elder, if you have a problem go and tell him. Now get out of my way, otherwise it won't be good for you at all!"

The old man's knees went weak; he didn't remember being this uneasy inside the Sect's borders before. Fortunately, the girl in front of him moved her foot aside, not her gaze, and made room for him to pass, and Vibora moved away rapidly without even looking behind him.

"What will we do sir?"

When Count Jashua called out to Nora, he found her walking towards the door of the specified residence; the starting to rot roof of the single-story concrete structure attracted his attention.

The wide and long house had started falling apart; there could be no other explanation for the door handle breaking off the moment he grabbed it.

The moment Nora took her first step, she was thrown backward with the effect of the air hitting her face; Count Jashua located right behind her had caught the smell too.

"What is this man?"

They hadn't paid attention before, but the structure didn't possess a window; the only way for air to enter inside was the gaps on the roof or cracks formed in some parts of the wall.

"There is either an animal carcass inside or the door of this place is being opened for the first time since it was built!"

The trio stood in front of the door whose knob was broken for a while; meanwhile, three people holding rusted metal containers approached them.

"Move aside, don't block the way!"

After shouting with a loud voice, they opened the door rapidly and swung the cauldron-sized metal containers in their hands inside.

"We will come and take the empties in the evening, if you don't put them in front of the door no food for you tomorrow!"

The trio moved away laughing; a mobility started inside the building too, the sounds coming out could easily be heard from outside.

"Jashua open the door!"

When Nora ordered, the Young Count hesitated.

"I told you to open it!"

Her not saying it twice was enough; pulling the door in panic, Count Jashua opened it fully.

The containers had tipped over where they rolled, the mush-like liquid thing inside them was scattered on the floor. There were people attacking these; piled on top of each other, they were stuffing the mushy substance they grabbed with their hands into their mouths.

"Move aside!"

Then three or four people who were larger compared to the others came and started kicking the people wandering on the ground like cockroaches; the sounds coming out were saying bones were broken, fleshes were ruined.

When their surroundings emptied, they took the metal containers and started walking towards the insides of the structure; thereupon the trio standing at the door until that moment entered inside too.

While proceeding from the path the kicked people opened, they noticed a few of those on the ground weren't breathing anymore; highly likely they would be put in front of the door together with the empty containers too.

Although the environment was pitch black, the trio noticed the people around; withdrawn to a corner inside the black, they were waiting. Their breaths were cut off, their blood flow was weak; it wasn't possible for someone not very careful to sense them.

Eight or ten steps later, a light coming from ahead caught Nora's eye. With every step the light strengthened, the air they breathed freshened.

As much as its longitudinal aspect, the width of the structure was quite large too, but the light and fresh air only increased as one went to its right corner; Nora looking to the left side couldn't see anything other than moldy darkness.

When the sounds the metal containers made ended, the trio stopped too; now they were watching the scene twenty steps away.

There was a wide crevice at the right end of the structure; judging by the rubble remains on the ground, this situation wasn't formed naturally but man-made. Fresh air and light were entering from this place five steps wide and two human heights tall.

A few people sat right in front of the crevice, seeming to enjoy the sun and fresh air touching their skin; opening the lids of the containers put in front of them with great respect, they started eating food rapidly.

"Hold on a bit!"

Count Jashua leaped forward but an arm blocked his body; Nora was watching the types surrounding the metal containers without blinking her eyes.

They fed for about ten minutes, then a few of them taking the relatively lightened containers started proceeding towards the darkness, meaning towards the trio waiting for them.

"Who are you?"

"What are you looking for here?"

First they got scared, but a moment later their tone of voice took an calling to account state. The trio didn't answer; after those carrying the containers took a few more steps, a scream rose.

"This is a chick man, a literal chick came!"

While the voice wandered inside the empty building without belongings, a clatter started from every corner. Footsteps starting with one, two first, accelerated and turned into a pouring rain.

"Stop!"

A single word, only a single word was enough. The noise resembling an army going on the attack was cut like a knife.

"Come here!"

The one speaking was one of those in front of the crevice; with his hand, he called the trio next to him. This man didn't have a very lively state, but compared to the kicked types in front of the door, he looked like in the spring of his youth.

More than ten types taking place next to him didn't fall behind him either; they had completely covered the place where insufficient light and air entered. Inside the moldy, stinking, dark structure where filth ruled, the place they stood was like a liberated zone.

Nora had noticed those inside the darkness encircled them too; despite this, with calm steps, she approached next to the man calling her.

"Well, well, well, what happened that you fell here. Whereas you are very young in age?"

The gaze of the man talking drooling was locked on the legs under the skirt; in this action of his, all of those next to him were accompanying him.

"The Sect's Third Elder said we will live here from now on."

When the young girl's words ended, those in front of the crevice started laughing showing their missing, rotten, and shattered teeth; this state of theirs mobilized the others too.

"What's up, did what I said seem very funny?"

Nora didn't break her calmness; putting her hand on her waist, she continued watching the cheap theater staged.

"Little one, I guess you have no news of anything. If you entered this building once, the passing time is no longer called living!"

The one speaking was a type licking the food leftovers on his hands in a crouched position; after sucking his deformed thumb, he continued too.

"This place is the place of disgraces who couldn't show development, or those whose futures were bright but fell victim to their misfortune having disturbed someone who shouldn't be disturbed!"
