Chapter 249 - İki Yüz Kırk Dokuz

When a steel knife shone in Abgesandte's free hand, his uncle's fate was also sealed; the druids, who were exposed to more savagery than they had ever seen in their lives, finally had to watch the throat of the man they once respected as an engineer being cut.

Faced with this scene, some covered their mouths left open, and others covered their eyes, but without exception, all of them were horrified by what they saw.

"What happened, loving druids; can't you bear to see the death of just one man?"

The golden-haired boy, slowly stepping into youth, would call out in a demanding tone to the village people watching the rolling of his uncle's head, which he threw aside.

"Wasn't the exact same knife pressed against the throats of all of you? Even using this one in my hand, a brainwashed child was about to kill another without blinking an eye!"

The emotional reactions of the druids to events were enough to drive Abgesandte, who placed rational thinking at the center of his life, crazy.

"Enough, you grumpy brat; didn't you get what you wanted? Why are you still scaring people?"

The voice of the number two man of Karsak Trade City would be cut like a knife after what he heard because his master, behind whose back he plotted even a little, had come to his senses.

"You wouldn't find peace without untying this knot in your heart; I hope now you convince yourself that you have the right to be happy!"

What's done was done; from this hour on, the messy-haired Leonardo could only express his wishes for the future. For someone who could only watch the events developing in the city where he should be the ruler, anything more could only be impudence.

"Ainle, you prepare the druids for the journey; the rest, please come with me to the Master's house!"

It seemed that all accounts were settled; sensing this, Nafız thought of holding a meeting in Leonardo's house to look ahead.

The surroundings of the famous table were full again; the group consisting of the Master, Kitapkurdu, Abgesandte, Alyon, and Nafız was coming together after the great struggle.

The leftovers from the morning meal were still in the same place; seeing this, Alyon attacked them as if wanting to take revenge for the fatigue he felt upon returning to normal.

"What kind of type are you; if I didn't see it with my own eyes, no one could convince me that you were the man who tore apart the Sacred Twins of the Golden Crown!"

Seeing her friend being gluttonous, Nafız couldn't resist; she couldn't help but squeeze in a few words before leaving Alyon, whose eyes didn't see the world when he was hungry, to his own devices.

As for the man who was the addressee of the words, he had no intention of answering at all; all he did was dive into the food with both hands at once.

"Anyway, Master, you cannot stay here anymore; I want to send you to the Orc Steppes!"

This time, since there was no situation to do things under the table, the female orc had to think directly about the safety of her supporters, and the best idea coming to her mind was to send Leonardo to the Khan.

Of course, the master wouldn't want to leave his city to which he dedicated most of his life; his feelings in this direction had already reflected on his face.

"Dear Leonardo, I want you to think of this only as a temporary separation; eventually, when this continent passes under the control of the druids, I promise you will be able to build the life you truly want here!"

Although the fake paradise he created was destroyed, this city was still very precious for the messy-haired man; Nafız, aware of the event, felt obliged to give her personal guarantee.

"I have trust in your word, but sitting and waiting would be contrary to my temperament; therefore, I would prefer to go to Karsak City with my student!"

This request caused the female orc to smile; evidently, even if broken or destroyed, old habits die hard.

"Have it as you wish; kids, you can take the Master and the surviving druids and set out!"

Although a few small details were discussed later, the meeting actually ended with these words; the next day, not even a trace remained of the Druid Village or the orcs seen around for a few days in the city created by Leonardo.

"How much longer will we walk, Ainle; where have you dragged us!"

The trio consisting of two orcs and a druid would hit the road again after a short break; Alyon, advancing at the very back of the group, didn't seem very pleased with the dense forest they entered.

"Not much left until we arrive at the described place; once we find the big waterfall, it's done!"

After causing chaos in the regions under the control of the Empire of Machines and the Land of Light, the team's first goal was to visit the two remaining dungeons on the continent.

"Brother, neither your swamp ended nor your canyon, and now you are obsessed with a waterfall; are we going to draw the geographical map of this continent, man!"

Nafız, sticky with sweat due to the heat, was also snapping at the scrawny druid because of the airless environment; poor Ainle, having no choice but to walk fast, was forced to endure the words directed at him.

"Hah, I found it; the dungeon of the region must be somewhere around here!"

At the place they arrived, there was a small-scale lake and a beautiful waterfall pouring into it over high cliffs; since their guide knew only this much of the way, now it was up to them.

"Don't tell me it's inside the water; I'm sick of going down from places!"

Alyon, who first sank into a sea of mud and another time ran down steep walls, was rebelling; although no one knew, the basis of this action was actually that he didn't like water much.

"Look now, if it's the usual cliché stuff, you're set; follow me!"

Trailing the female orc, the team came to the edge of the waterfall; leaning their backs against the rocks, they were moving sideways without minding the water falling on their heads.

Although he would get wet, Alyon had no other chance but to follow his friend; the grey-haired orc was forced to comply with the group's movement plan.

Since their steps were slow, Nafız could only reach the tunnel she thought existed after advancing for about a minute; what a nice surprise it was that there was such a secret passage as in all the movies she watched.

"Wow, how did you know there was such a place inside the waterfall!"

"Oh Master Alyon, didn't we play enough Tomb Raider when we were kids!"

The grey-haired orc's eyes were rolling as of that moment because his friend was talking about subjects he didn't understand at all from time to time.

"Mistress, look; there are a few altars ahead!"

While Ainle pointed to the insides of the cave with his hand, both orcs would immediately turn their attention in that direction; indeed, a cluster of protrusions formed by roughly cut stones was looking at them.

When they went to their side, they encountered a completely different scene; the tops of the stones, which were tall enough to reach a normal human's waist, were cut flat, and their insides were completely filled with soil.

What was interesting were the mushroom-like plants growing on this soil; whether their stems or their caps, the colors of the formations almost identical to mushrooms were truly eye-catching.

"This was the only thing missing; struggle with thousands of men, come all this way, and look what you see: magic mushrooms!"

Nafız, familiar with the working principle of the continent's dungeons, had already understood the method of entering the trance this time; unlike her, the other two people were still trying to figure out what was happening.

"Mistress, what happened; is there something wrong?"

"No, my son, how could there be? Now you eat a mushroom from here, everything will be very beautiful!"

Since there is no escape from fate, at least let me have some fun, Nafız said to herself in these moments; she had already shoved the mushroom she grabbed from the altar into Ainle's mouth.

The scrawny druid had no chance to object; he ate the mushroom making a sour face; as far as understood, its taste wasn't as appetizing as the appearance of the formation.

Nafız, examining the druid for about two minutes, wouldn't sense a change, but there was an important thing she didn't know: the high of the mushroom would come suddenly.

"Aeife, is that you? How did you find us, my beautiful love?"

A situation like 'the blind wanted one eye, God gave two' was occurring inside the cave. Ainle, high due to the mushroom, was walking toward Alyon, whom he thought was his lover.

"Nafız, he's gone mad; get this thing off me, Nafız!"

"Nafııııızzzzzz!"
