Alyon was thinking of getting out of the impasse he fell into by using his lineage power; a second or two later, when he started seeing his opponent's movements more clearly, he would also realize he was right in his decision.
Alano, who had never clashed with a new generation orc before, was dumbfounded in the face of dramatically changing conditions; he couldn't believe his wind-based movements were being slowed down by a pressure descending upon him like a mountain.
Believe it or not, he had already come face to face with the giant weapon swung by the hulking orc; the young warrior would either continue his attack performed with bare hands or flee.
Although general opinion said one of these two options would happen, Alano would choose to follow a completely different path; swinging the weapon he took out from his interspatial ring, he was responding to the gray-haired orc.
This newly appearing weapon was a sword at least as arrogant as himself. While its elegant hilt was covered with black leather strips, its body radiated a matte silvery color.
The Black Lily figures carefully embroidered on the shiny body were in full harmony with the color of the hilt; while this extraordinary feature added majesty to its user, it was also shouting which clan the weapon belonged to right in the opponent's face.
"Black Lily!"
Alyon would see these figures clearly too; that was why he had shouted at the top of his lungs anyway.
"What a knowledgeable barbarian; since you were able to come this far, you should have known at least this much, right?"
Giving the impression of being completely unaffected by the event just now, Alano continued his movements reeking of arrogance; especially what he would say next would be the final straw.
"Unfortunately, the end of the road has come for you; as if causing me to cut my breakthrough short wasn't enough, you also made me draw my treasure sword. You will pay the price for these sins by dying in torture; perhaps your only luck in this life will be dying by my hands."
Immediately after the speech he completed with his nose in the air, a gray aura began to surround the young warrior's sword; seeing this, the eyes of the soldiers watching the events opened wide.
"Is this the fighting technique of the Hell Realm warriors?"
Hearing what came out of a young soldier's open mouth, a more senior friend of his would answer immediately.
"Transferring soul powers to the weapon is the most basic fighting skill on the Hell Realm, don't you even know this?"
When the face of the soldier condemned by his friend fell, Alano lunged forward without minding the pressure on him; his speed wasn't important right now, he had already drawn his weapon and transferred his soul power to it.
"Come on then, I found you on the ground while searching for you in the sky!"
Alyon would give a very harsh answer to this outburst of the young warrior; his eyes were bloodshot, and two canine teeth overflowing from his mouth were trembling with anger.
This reaction didn't seem to be due to the enemy's arrogance; the gray-haired orc's state had changed from the moment he saw the Black Lily patterns on the sword.
When the two warriors met at the center point, Alyon's double-headed giant weapon and Alano's treasure sword clashed violently; this was a collision whose effect mixed dust with smoke and caused soldiers standing a bit close to fly into the air due to its wind.
"Since you are left weaponless now, I wonder how you will fight?"
The arrogant youth was very sure he shattered the strange weapon in the enemy's hand with his sword, to which he transferred his soul power when their blows collided; while they couldn't see each other clearly yet, he would speak confidently.
No answer was coming from the opposite side; seeing the situation turned out as he guessed, Alano continued his provocations.
"I won't stop here; first I will destroy the headquarters behind me, then I will wipe the miserable life forms waiting for death behind the shield they took refuge in from this world!"
Alano belonged to the cream of the crop of a clan considered certain to become a Sect soon; although he was far back enough to be sent to the Wild Swamp continent, what he would do here could carry him to much better places.
He had already gained Lord Galeno's trust and appreciation, and if he rescued his captured niece too, there was nothing better than that. Actually, no matter how grumpy she was, Gregoria was a beauty every man would want in his bed; the possibility of a marriage opportunity arising made Alano's heart beat even faster.
Dreams and hopes were nice, but there were also realities in this world; right now, the young warrior's reality was that the weapon he thought he shattered a moment ago was about to land on his head.
The Black Lily warrior had blocked the blow with his sword at the last moment; he wouldn't take physical damage from this surprise attack that made him fly back somersaulting on the ground.
Alano wasn't injured, but the situation he fell into hurt him as much as a cut reaching the bone; as a result of the wild orc's blow, he had rolled head over heels.
"Get up, you puny thing, let's see if you have any trick other than your speed?"
Hearing the words of the orc coming towards him with the giant weapon he threw over his shoulder passing behind his neck, the young warrior was as angry as if someone had spit in his face.
Since all this happened within five minutes, the thoughts of the soldiers watching the duel were in a jumble too; whenever the young warrior they trusted so much was about to make his final move, the hulking orc facing him managed to repel him.
"I won't kill you; to make an example, I will make you my pet and torment you every day!"
It couldn't be said that Alano was in a good mood; since he ate all the words he said one by one, he was having digestion problems.
The aura surrounding his sword had grown one fold more; even when he changed his stance by throwing his right foot forward, the increase of the gray color was still continuing.
Alyon would figure out what was happening immediately; his opponent was gathering his power for a single and strong attack.
As an experienced warrior, he couldn't allow this; shaking off the lethargy he fell into, he had to attack at full speed.
Fortunately, Warrior's Wrath was active; providing the aura density necessary for the young warrior's attack was becoming harder than normal times.
Seeing the orc coming upon him, Alano couldn't endure anymore either; he swung the soul power he gathered on his weapon violently.
There were thousands of tortured faces inside this attack; some were screaming, some were groaning in pain. The horror all of them experienced would collide with Alyon's two-headed giant weapon.
The young warrior of the Black Lilies was sure this time; it was Soul Storm, the third-rate technique of his clan, that he used. He couldn't even imagine an orc surviving this attack of his.
Just as the Holy Blood Sect used blood essence in their attacks, the Black Lily Clan used soul essences gathered for generations. Actually, Alano had performed his last attack by making a great sacrifice from his own resources; he had been forced to spend ten percent of the soul essence he received from his sect and gathered himself.
This time he didn't speak; he wouldn't be able to relax without seeing the gray-haired orc's torn body because if this war prolonged, it wouldn't be pleasant for him at all.
Luckily, he had received training in a sect, and the technique he used really lived up to its name; Alyon's body, which barely stopped by breaking a few trees while being flung back, was the biggest proof of this.
Although his condition wasn't critical, the hulking orc was solidly injured; while his body became ruined, there was a strange smile on his face.
He was grinning as if the upper hand in the struggle given was his; although this expression on his blood-covered face didn't please Alano at all, he could clearly see the damage his attack dealt.
The pressure on him hadn't lifted, but for the young warrior, this had ceased to be a situation to worry about; the only thing he had to do was to shred the half-ruined orc with his treasure sword.
