Chapter 96 - Doksan Altı

Kitapkurdu, grasping the details of the incident as his master spoke, was staring into the distance as if thinking about something. Indeed, it would be necessary to take big risks to solve the issue at once.

"Master, the plan you made is truly magnificent, but in any mishap, the City Lord's life could be in danger!"

Kübey's ability was a secret even within the tribe. Even if everything continued smoothly, no one could know that a spy wouldn't appear among them tomorrow.

"We already took our precautions on that matter, but the danger to be experienced in a mishap will be great. Therefore, I want you to accompany the members of the three noble families to the tribe in the Arid Region. I cannot trust anyone other than you for their comfort!"

Kitapkurdu froze; his face fell, his lower lip hung. When he saw his master's eyes, his intention to object disappeared; he knew these looks and knew that no matter what he did, it wouldn't help.

"Yes ma'am, I will coordinate the event by meeting with Eftelya!"

While Nafız grinned wickedly, her student panicked.

"Why are you looking like that, ma'am? I am pursuing to perform the task you gave in the best way!"

"Cut the crap, son! You hit on the girl wherever you are; we are not idiots here, we understand what is going on!"

Kitapkurdu turned beet red. Although he sensed his flirtatious attitudes were understood, he didn't know what to do when it was said at such a moment.

"Don't worry! You convince the girl, the rest is on your master! Will they find someone better than you? Let someone dare to say otherwise, and I'll cut them down to size!"

Unlike her previous life, she would protect and support the people she loved to the end. If all of Parthenia stood against her student, cutting them all down one by one was not a problem for her.

"What is the status of our spy in the main orc tribe; how is the latest news? Did they like us taking their armies?"

Thanks to the medicine she fed to the most cowardly orc in the delegation coming to the Arid Region tribe, they could know what was happening in the Main Orc Tribe. Since the spy needed to take the antidote regularly not to die, his duty would end when they wanted him to die.

"Master, our capturing half of the Glacial Region army without loss dropped like a bomb in the middle of the tribe. Even though it is one-tenth of their main war forces, the loss annoyed them quite a bit!"

Nafız's mind was on the final war to be fought. As she guessed, such a rapidly reproducing race could have an army of half a million even with training and war casualties. While their own armies were only one-third of this yet, they couldn't engage in a pitched battle.

"Do they have a plan like attacking again?"

"Master, our spy doesn't think a large-scale army will be sent, but these days the tribe has guests from other continents. Especially people with a black lily tattoo on their necks and mercenaries have started swarming around!"

"Bastards! Not just the Black Lily, even if the whole Hell Realm came, they couldn't take you from my hands. Their turn will come anyway! They have been comfortable for a hundred years; the return of the Blood God will descend upon them like a nightmare!"

Nafız released such a killing intent into the environment that Kitapkurdu, whose knees gave way, was forcing himself to his limits not to fall to the ground in his master's presence. Whenever the Hell Realm was mentioned, his master lost herself, burning fiercely like a demon coming out of lava pits.

"Speaking of those dogs, what is the situation of the child? Did the changes he experience start to attract the attention of those around him?"

Kitapkurdu, immediately shaking off the panic he fell into, tidied himself up to answer the question.

"He is about to turn ten. His hair is getting darker day by day, and his skin color has whitened by a few tones!"

"Well, how are his studies going on the techniques I sent you?"

"Ma'am, we rented a large mansion in Nikonya for his family. It has high walls and a large garden. Here, he continues his studies with the wild creatures we bought. Since he handles those without consciousness in a single blow, we make him continue studies with monsters possessing semi-consciousness!"

"Very good, I want you to learn the acceptance age limit of the Hell Realm sects. Especially the Sacred Blood Sect!"

Nodding his head meaning okay, Kitapkurdu would do whatever he was told even if he couldn't figure out his master's interest in this continent. Just like with little Jashua.

"You may leave now, but don't push your luck too much next to her father, kingfisher!"

The Blood God, starting the sentence very harshly, tied the end with mischief again. After laughing for a while behind her student running away, she started thinking about the troubled days ahead of them.

While plans were being made in the mansion, Çekiçdöven went to his army and explained the work to be done to his commanders. First, large fighting circles would be established to prevent caravans from approaching them.

The real problem wasn't digging the tunnels; although he was sure they would succeed with fifty thousand people, he was thinking about how the excavated earth would be disposed of without anyone noticing.

He thought about the subject for a long time but couldn't find a solution. Just as he was about to give up and go to his wife's brother, an interesting idea came to his mind.

There was a fighting arena in the city, and its surroundings were full of stands for spectators to sit. Why couldn't their fighting circles have such a part too? Thanks to structures to be built with the earth coming out of the tunnels, there would be no problem.

In the evening hours of the same day, the city guards finding the corpses of the extortion gang and the unconscious body of their leader reported the situation to their commanders. What a coincidence that this person's name was also on the list of rebels. The man rushing to the Lord's side was happy to find an opportunity to cause a commotion.

"Your Lordship! The young master of the Baena family and his bodyguards were found attacked in a derelict house. As you know, this house is one of the noble and well-established families of our city; how shall we deal with the matter!"

Marcos frowned and fell into astonishment as if hearing what happened for the first time. The leader of the guards was eagerly waiting for the decision he would make.

If he wanted to cover up the issue, they could provoke the family. If he went after it, they had opportunities to rile up the public during the search.

"Commander, our city will be a place where peace and trust reign. Do whatever you can to solve the tragic event experienced and catch the criminals. If necessary, all guards will work incessantly, and you will come to me with a result as soon as possible!"

When the City Lord shouted furiously, the commander was screaming with joy inside. Of course, for this job, he would use as many members as leaked into the city guards from the organization they established. What happened needed to be heard by the populace, and they definitely needed to change some parts while telling it.

When three day-cycles passed, what the rebels wanted was happening; rumors were spreading like wildfire among the public.

Traitors among the city guards were telling people in the houses and shops they searched that orcs were behind the event and that the Lord couldn't do anything because he was afraid.

The Baena family wasn't sitting idle either; they were releasing the provocateurs they hired to the four corners of Parthenia. Wherever two people gathered, the topic spoken was nothing but the City Lord and orcs.

The cauldron was boiling, time was flowing fast. Marcos, receiving the news that the tunnels reached the shelters, would start evacuating orcs from the city pretending to be afraid of the public's reaction.

Rebels were gathering every evening, thinking the expected time was approaching and reviewing their plans. Weapon making was increased in local blacksmiths, and all preparations for the promised liberation day were being accelerated.
