The spirit animal seemed to be affected by the event. There was no one around, so the time to meet had come. When Nafız lifted the restrictions and released the rabbit, she could only see it for a moment. Although she sensed where it was, it had already disappeared.
The next place it was seen would be beside the corpses of the mercenaries. It was looking at the bodies piled on top of each other waiting to be burned with hungry eyes. With tremendous speed, it entered the dead soldier's body through his stomach.
Not long after, the mountain made of corpses lost a quarter of its size. The situation would attract the attention of the orcs who had retired to rest after the war. As the pile decreased, the number of people gathering around it increased. When it finally finished, a rabbit with its white fur covered in blood appeared.
Just as no one saw its arrival, they couldn't understand how it disappeared either. No one had seen a carnivorous creature similar to this before. Although there were great similarities between this world and the place Nafız came from, some things didn't resemble each other at all.
"Are you done? You have quite an appetite!"
Nafız was actually quite surprised while looking at the spirit animal appearing in front of her. She was thinking about where the tiny creature fit all that food. She wouldn't have the chance to get an answer to her question; judging by the situation, the spirit animal looked tired. Without the Blood God recalling it, it retreated into the tattoo to rest on its own.
"Ma'am! Be careful, an unknown creature appeared in the camp and disappeared after eating human corpses!"
The messenger, arriving excitedly, called out in panic to Nafız who knew everything. The army retired to rest was on edge.
"Okay, okay, don't panic! I will come to you in a moment!"
The Blood God didn't say her own spirit animal did what happened. There was no need to reveal a trump card without knowing what it could do yet. Slowly straightening up from where she sat, she started walking towards Çekiçdöven's side.
The young commander had also received the news and ordered preparations to begin to find the rest of the tribe. They needed to leave this place urgently; they couldn't know when the strange creature would come again.
"Groom, when are we setting off? Let's handle this small business too! Aren't you curious about your wife at all?"
Actually, she was the one who wanted to learn about Yarmagül's condition, but she avoided voicing this in public.
"Ma'am, we will set off immediately at daybreak. I don't know what we will do with the portable castle!"
Mercenaries had left many valuable materials behind; the most important among these was the castle walls on which the Blood God opened a huge hole. If used properly, it could be an invaluable item within the Orc Steppes.
"I'll take that. You do your best to speed things up!"
Taking this structure covering a huge area when looked from outside into the transportation ring was no big deal for Nafız. She had enough space for hundreds like this; Abarran had built a unique interspatial void for his daughter.
Following their commander's orders, the army set off again while it was still twilight. After Nafız took the castle, everything remaining was burned. No one needed to know about this disgraceful settlement; they burned to ashes with the shame they left behind.
After a half-day journey, the orc community of fifty thousand came in front of the area covered with dense trees. Çekiçdöven, watching this place for a while, leaned to the ear of the commander beside him and said, "Surround the region, let not even a single person escape!"
This was where the tribe was hiding! After the noise that broke out, the orc with a brown bear hide on his back and a group of a few people behind him walked out of the small forest. The person with the hide on his back was the tribe chieftain in the region. While serving as the hunter chief during Cesuryürek's time, he had suddenly obtained this duty.
"I hope you came with good news, son of Beyaz Ayı; did you bring our lord's enemies to their knees?"
The question caused involuntary laughter from those behind the young commander. In front of them stood a buffoon still trying to play a role.
"Everything has ended; we have only one job left. After completing that too, I will personally deliver the news to my father!"
Çekiçdöven had become furious remembering the message from his father. His inability to control the volume of his voice while speaking gave him away.
"I guess you will give that known order, but this time I have to intervene. There is an item belonging to someone else on that brat; I need to take it first!"
How could Nafız not figure out the young commander's situation? She rushed forward to fulfill Alyon's special request.
"Who are you; how dare you speak like this!"
One of those standing next to the orc with the bear hide spoke. This person evidently held a high position within the tribe. With the courage given by his rank, he mistook the person facing him for one of the orcs he bought and sold like goods.
"Generally, I handle these jobs myself, but this time I will only do what is necessary and withdraw from the stage!"
After completing her words, Nafız would turn into a blur; the next moment, she had a brown bear hide in her hand. Without waiting, she put it into the transportation ring; no one had understood what happened.
"I have a standard too. None of the weapons on me are cheap enough to get wet with the blood of these cowards!"
This was the situation; could the Blood God really be bothered to deal with ants crawling under her feet?
With no obstacle left in front of him, Çekiçdöven shouted with a voice loud enough to be heard even from five hundred steps away.
"Show no mercy to any of the traitors tormenting their kin! There is no honorable death for them!"
The first reaction to the given order came from the commanders behind him.
Using the axes they took in their hands, they rapidly slaughtered the group coming to meet them. They had no intention of leaving the orcs hiding here in one piece; they acted ruthlessly even towards the dead bodies.
What happened formed a pleasant spectacle for Nafız. Withdrawn to a side, she was witnessing the moment they completely captured the region. As time passed, the smell of blood began to become unbearable. By a rough calculation, ten thousand orcs would cease to exist from today.
While the job of an army of fifty thousand should have finished quickly, the massacre carried out took longer than expected. After what they heard and saw until coming here, just killing these cowards hadn't been enough for Çekiçdöven's army.
They were cauterizing the wounds of orcs whose arms were torn off while still alive and throwing them aside, saving them to do the same process to their legs later. The screams of orcs whose eyes were gouged out alive and who were hung from trees by their intestines were reaching the sky.
The entertainment could only end just before the night slowly fell, and just as the Young Commander was about to order the region to be burned, a voice stopped him.
"Groom, I'll handle this place! You find a place where we can spend the night!"
Questioning the Blood God's words didn't even cross his mind; gathering his army as told, he set off to find a sheltered land.
"Okay, okay, wait! In a moment, you will be able to feed as much as you want!"
Yesterday's event was recurring; the spirit animal was practically fighting to come out. Apparently, the smell of blood drives this creature crazy, Nafız thought, and released it within two breaths.
When the spirit animal entered the forest, the moans of some orcs who hadn't died could be heard. After a while, these would cease too; in the silence settling over the place, only the sounds of breaking bones existed.
