Chapter 108 - Chapter 108 Metron's Surprise

Although Zod knocked out Hope, his attack had already been fired.

Zod didn't pay attention to this; the energy would dissipate on its own in the Void Realm anyway, so he directly took Hope back to New Krypton.

However, this nearly caused a great disaster for Metron and Orion, who were tracking Hope's source Qi.

They appeared within a hundred light-years of the Solar System's edge through a teleportation channel opened by the Great Master's Staff of Origin.

Metron, using the Mobius Chair, directly locked onto Hope's approximate location, and the moment they initiated a space jump, a destructive energy beam greeted them.

Fortunately, they reacted in the nick of time, narrowly avoiding the attack.

Metron was so startled he almost stood up from the chair, while Orion trembled uncontrollably.

But before they could even breathe a sigh of relief, the beam pierced straight through a planet, triggering a massive explosion.

Metron immediately and clumsily activated the chair beneath him to open another teleportation channel, escaping the blast radius.

"Damn it, who is ambushing us? That attack just now was enough to destroy our bodies!"

After frantically escaping to a safe place, Orion's Face was filled with rage.

As the God of Violence, although he could control the violent instincts in his heart well under the Great Master's upbringing, he inevitably felt anger when faced with an attack he couldn't understand.

Because from that destructive beam of light, he truly felt a threat of Death.

"Your Highness Orion, put away your anger; that was not an attack directed at us. I already know everything."

In that instant, the Mobius Chair had already gathered the battle information left behind by Zod and Hope, and Metron naturally knew what had happened.

He even learned Hope's true identity, which made him feel shocked.

A question arose in his mind: "The newborn God of Machines is actually transformed from an Apokolips mother box. What exactly happened here?"

Then he urged the chair to investigate the secret.

But even with the Mobius Chair's capabilities, it couldn't ascertain information about a Spark fragment, something from another world.

Suddenly, Metron's eyes showed an unprecedented fanaticism, as if a long-single old bachelor had seen a young widow.

Ever since he sat on the Mobius Chair and became the God of Knowledge, he believed he was omniscient and omnipotent, capable of discerning all knowledge and secrets in the Universe.

However, now facing a newly born New God, even the Mobius Chair could not ascertain how he obtained life, which completely ignited his thirst for knowledge.

This unknown knowledge was an immense temptation for Metron.

However, hearing his words, Orion couldn't help but frown and ask, "What exactly is going on?"

Metron said no more, directly using the chair to replay the battle scene.

"That mechanical life form should be the God of Machines we're looking for, but who is that other guy?"

Orion asked with some confusion, looking at the two fighting figures in the image.

"A very interesting Kryptonian; his power is astonishing!"

Metron now wanted to use the Mobius Chair to find more information about Zod, but the chair once again responded that it could not detect anything.

This only made Metron more excited.

Originally, he had some reservations about this mission, but out of consideration for the Great Master's Face, he couldn't say anything.

But now, he felt he had truly come to the right place; in just one mission, he had encountered two unknown things.

If he could uncover their secrets, he felt his Divine Power might increase significantly.

Although his divine position seemed somewhat superficial, the Divine Power within him was genuine.

Among all who had sat on the Mobius Chair, he should be the one who controlled it best, apart from its original owner, the Anti-Monitor.

"Kryptonian, could it be that terrifying race?"

Orion naturally knew the legends about Kryptonians, but he hadn't expected them to be so powerful.

The scene of the battle's end left him shocked; Zod was actually able to defeat a New God.

Although this God of Machines had just been born, from the moment he became a God, the gap between him and ordinary life had already widened.

Moreover, Zod seemed not to have used his full strength in the battle.

He suddenly felt that their mission to bring in the New God was likely to encounter significant setbacks!

At this moment, Metron spoke with a hint of excitement: "Your Highness Orion, let's go. I have already locked onto the exact location of the God of Machines."

Hearing this, Orion also cast aside all distracting thoughts in his mind.

"No matter what, we must prevent them from becoming Apokolips's pawns."

In the matter of exchanging sons with the Great Master, Darkseid could be said to have lost both his wife and his army.

Because in his opinion, his son, inheriting the divine position of the God of Violence, was destined to become a powerful warrior with a cruel temperament.

Even if he was taken back to New Genesis by the Great Master, he would eventually fall into darkness, but he hadn't expected Orion, under the Great Master's guidance, to become a New God who upheld justice.

As for the Great Master's son, Scott, he had been imprisoned in the endless abyss since the beginning of the exchange, and Granny Goodness was tasked with teaching him the rules of Apokolips.

However, under the upbringing of this born sadist and cruel overseer, Scott not only did not fall into darkness as Darkseid had hoped, but instead always adhered to kindness and Hope.

He even eventually escaped from Apokolips, becoming the greatest escape Great Master in the Universe.

This exchange, for Darkseid, not only yielded no benefits but also cost him a son with immense potential.

The current Orion is fundamentally opposed to the brutal rule of Apokolips and Darkseid, and he tries every means to curb it, or even completely overthrow it.

When the two appeared outside New Krypton, they were blocked by a spatial barrier.

"Is this where the God of Machines was born? So many powerful warriors?"

Feeling the auras emanating from the planet below, even Orion felt a trace of surprise.

"They are all Kryptonians..."

However, before Metron could finish speaking, a faint voice suddenly sounded from beside them.

"You two came uninvited; what do you intend to do?"

In an instant, a bone-chilling coldness arose in both their hearts.

In fact, Zod had sensed them the moment they appeared.

If it weren't for Metron's classic attire that allowed him to guess his identity, he would have directly taken them down before discussing anything else.
