Chapter 111 - Chapter 111 The Troll Who Worships the Goddess

Feeling the warm, moist touch on his face and the fragrance of gardenias, Guilliman turned his head to glance at Priscilla, whose face was slightly flushed.

He thought to himself: 'Little girl, you're playing with fire. Be careful, one day I might get in the mood and treat you to billions and billions, absolutely ensuring you're full.'

Then, the two of them, pretending nothing had happened, ran in the direction Gerd and the others had pursued.

The fishemen must have been scared out of their wits; there were fishemen corpses everywhere along the way, seemingly without any resistance.

For this soul power that came knocking, he naturally didn't refuse any, constantly absorbing it with the Soul Absorption Seal, and the Deep Blue's prompts kept sounding in his ears.

Gradually, weaker individuals like Blackbeard Zord and his sailors also began to return, no longer giving chase.

Guilliman told them to return to the battlefield and prepare to find a suitable location to build a camp.

Not long after, he encountered the Skellige mercenaries who had been following Gerd and the others earlier.

These island warriors had charged far ahead, bearing most of the pressure on the front lines, so most of them were wounded.

However, seeing the excited expressions on their faces, the battle they had just fought must have been very satisfying.

Guilliman took out the previously prepared, non-toxic Swallow Potion from the Magic Conch brand and gave them each a small sip, which was enough to stabilize their injuries, at least preventing them from worsening, and also providing a disinfectant effect for proper treatment.

When they returned, Triss would likely perform healing spells on them to help them recover quickly.

Before parting, Guilliman learned from the captain of this squad that Gerd and his two companions had chased a group of about a dozen mutated fishemen deserters into a forest.

With the captain's directions and a Witcher's keen senses, Guilliman quickly took Priscilla and followed the footprints of Gerd and the others, and the bloodstains of the monsters, catching up to them.

From afar, the two heard the sounds of battle, but unlike the intense fighting they expected, it sounded more like a struggle between wild beasts, with constant low growls and high-pitched roars.

When Guilliman arrived, he witnessed a rather comical scene.

Gerd, Lambert, and Eskel, the three Bear School Witchers, all stood aside with their weapons, watching the battle unfolding nearby with amused smiles.

To their front-right, about ten mutated fishemen, holding bone weapons, were huddled together, roaring and constantly resisting, blocking the enemy's attacks, but they were quickly beaten to a pulp, unable even to flee.

And attacking them were five tall, strong Forest Trolls, each nearly two and a half meters tall.

These ugly-cute, immensely strong creatures held giant, root-like clubs weighing dozens of kilograms, grandly surrounding the group of mutated fishemen and continuously attacking them.

Moreover, unlike ordinary Forest Trolls, these few Trolls seemed slightly more intelligent; they even knew how to 'kick a man when he's down'.

Whenever a mutated fisheman was injured or knocked to the ground by their wooden clubs, the other Trolls would immediately concentrate their fire, finishing off the fallen fisheman and smashing them into meat paste.

Perhaps because these Trolls were indeed quite intelligent, they also noticed the Witchers and Priscilla observing from the sidelines and understood their intention to watch.

But these creatures showed no reactive response, remaining focused on ganging up on the mutated fishemen.

A few minutes later, as their numbers dwindled, the dozen or so mutated fishemen were finally all smashed into meat paste by the five Trolls.

After the battle, the largest Forest Troll, who was leading the group, suddenly swung its large wooden club and shouted in a slurred voice:

"Tha-thank... Goddess's blessing."

"Thank... God-Goddess, for giving us... victory!"

Following his shouts, the other four Forest Trolls also became excited, pounding their chests and letting out enthusiastic roars.
