There is a myth in western India.
The goddess of prosperity, who controlled gold and food, gave birth to 160 million children, all of whom later became gods. But the goddess's favorite was her first child, Hastar.
Hastar was inherently greedy, he stole all the goddess's gold and even tried to steal all the food.
When the gods discovered this, they tore him to pieces.
To save Hastar, the goddess of prosperity hid him back in her womb and sealed him away.
Unable to find him, the gods joined together and cast a curse: Hastar would never receive worship from the world, and he would be burned by unclaimed food.
Within the goddess's womb, Hastar possessed endless wealth, yet he also endured endless hunger.
The village of Tumbbad in western India is said to be the location of the goddess's womb.
The local Rao family, driven by greed, built a temple for Hastar, and from then on, Tumbbad was plagued by continuous rain.
The story can be roughly divided into three phases.
In 1918, Salka Rao was the village chief and the only one who knew the secret of the treasure. He had a mistress and two illegitimate children.
Salka never revealed the secret of the treasure until his death.
However, his great-grandmother was bitten by Hastar when she entered the treasure, turning into a long-lived monster with a rotting body and insatiable hunger.
In 1933, Vinayak Rao, the eldest son of Salka's mistress, grew up.
He found out the secret of the treasure from his great-grandmother, who had turned into a monster, and successfully obtained the gold coins, living a prosperous life.
It was not until he was old that he was killed by the 'greed' of his son Pandu.
Benjamin had a sheet of paper filled with dense writing.
This film mainly tells a story about greed, the most important element being the treasure bag on the waist of the god's son, Hastar.
He pieced together the plot, tore the paper into pieces, and flushed it down the toilet.
He locked the door to his house, donned a disguise, activated the tower seal, and entered the lighthouse.
Standing in the plaza inside the lighthouse, the vast, ocean-like darkness outside made him feel all the more insignificant.
Benjamin wandered around the plaza and came across a row of signs listing the items for sale and the trading hours.
"Selling an exorcism cross, capable of blocking ordinary monsters, 1000 survival points, certified by the lighthouse, online for five minutes at one o'clock every day."
"Selling the burial clothes of a century-old zombie, possessing Yin energy, capable of suppressing small ghosts, 900 survival points, certified by the lighthouse, online for three minutes at one o'clock every day."
The signs listed a variety of items: eerie paper umbrellas, zombie ribs, exorcism talismans, holy water...
These were all low-priced items with weak effects. With the lighthouse's certification, there was no chance of finding a bargain; nothing particularly powerful existed among them.
Benjamin spotted a stall manned by someone. Two customers were at the table.
Approaching, he saw a sign that read,
"For Sale: Gold, Currency from various countries of Deep Blue Star, All Kinds of Modern Technology, Individual Weapons, Real-World Negotiation, Real-World Data Modification, and Pre-orders of Various Real-World Items..."
The stall owner, dressed in a technologically advanced silver battle armor, with patches of blue scales visible on his exposed skin, sat upright behind the table, noting the requests of the two customers.
The two customers quickly disappeared, and it was Benjamin's turn.
"Hello, what do you need? This is our list. It's quite long, but you can also ask me directly."
The stall owner pulled out a thick, illustrated book and handed it to Benjamin.
"This list is for you. You can take it and read it at your leisure. Come to our stall anytime you need anything. We're open 24 hours. If anything isn't on the list, you can ask us."
Benjamin flipped through the list. The first page read:
One million Red Moon Federal Credits, priced at 5 survival points.
One kilogram of gold, priced at 3 survival points.
He flipped back a few more pages: shotguns, submachine guns, Gatling guns, drones...
"I want 2 kilograms of gold, an SAA-13 shotgun with 50 rounds of ammunition, two Shadow D28 drones, four 500ml blood plasma packs, and a modern technology gift pack."
The first item, cash exchange, seemed to offer higher profits than selling ginseng, but Benjamin dared not use the exchanged money casually.
This person was clearly a salesman for some faction.
"60 survival points in total. Pick up the goods and pay in 10 minutes."
The stall owner said casually while writing this down.
Benjamin turned to look at the other stalls, but the stall owner seemed to remember something he hadn't said.
"Hey!"
"Is there something else?" Benjamin turned back, puzzled.
"Um... welcome back next time." The stall owner added stiffly.
"Oh..."
Ten minutes later, Benjamin looked at his overflowing personal space: 10 exorcism talismans, 2 kilograms of gold, a shotgun, two drones, four 500ml blood plasma packets, a modern technology gift pack, and an ice crystal ball.
The suitcase took up too much space, so Benjamin didn't bring it. He then activated the tower seal and said, "Enter the scenario world ahead of schedule."
[Identity information locked, Lighthouse number: SL914]
[Anchored world this time: *Tumbbad*]
[Teleportation countdown: 5 seconds.]
[4 seconds!]
[3 seconds!]
With a shift in the void, Benjamin had already passed through a barrier and appeared high in the sky.
Below him flowed the Ganges River, with a group of ant-sized water-fetchers gathered around its banks.
Benjamin sensed the information transmitted by the tower seal.
World: Tumbbad
[Survival Mission: Survive for one week (Complete mission, reward 500 survival points.)]
[Story Mission 1: Enter the Well of God (Complete mission, reward 1000 survival points)]

[Number of Entrants: 1]
[Descent Countdown: 10 minutes (Enter Now)]
"Enter Now."
Cold raindrops slid down his face, and Benjamin instantly opened his eyes.
He looked down and saw that he was wearing a dirty, worn-out gray-white short-sleeved shirt, loose plain-colored trousers, and black cloth shoes, with a flat-topped white cloth wrapped around his head.
Benjamin sensed his current story identity: just an ordinary construction worker, with only a few fragments of memories.
It seemed the newbie bonus period was over.
He looked around.
A light drizzle was falling.
On the muddy street, rows of mud houses lined the left, while on the right were wooden sheds covered with gray netting.
People were carrying goods and selling merchandise.
Several dark green military vehicles from the United Kingdom were parked along the roadside.
The people on the street were dressed in hand-sewn black and white clothing.
Occasionally, a few men in all-white robes and a few women in red robes covering their hair hurried by.
Based on the information provided in the story, this was Pune in 1935, located in western India, a colony of the United Kingdom.
"Ellie, you lowly caste, so you've been hiding here. Come with us to see Raghaf. Your interest has exceeded three times the principal."
Two middle-aged men, dressed in black vests and tight-fitting clothes, their hair tied back, surrounded Benjamin from the front and back.
The dark-skinned man grinned maliciously.
"You mean Raghaf?"
Hearing this name, Benjamin stopped his right leg in time, which was about to deliver a powerful kick.
Benjamin felt it was all so effortless.
He had originally thought he would have to painstakingly search for characters from the story world.
After stepping into hell and being imprisoned in the cage of thought, all his memories of his past life have become very clear.
Raghaf was an important supporting character in the movie.
He coveted the protagonist Vinayak Rao's method of obtaining the gold coins, secretly followed him.
But he was tricked by the protagonist into the Well of God, bitten by 'Hastar,' turned into a monster, and then burned to death by the protagonist.
"Very good, very good. Please lead the way!"
Benjamin said calmly, looking at the two thugs in front of him.
These two, clearly dressed in bad clothes, suddenly grinned maliciously and blocked his way.
He almost kicked these two fragile thugs to death.
