Yugao's blade was blocked by Suigetsu's kubikiribōchō. The mist Rogue's shark grin is wicked.
"Tsk." Yugao glared.
Sasuke took his blade, intending to cut the wire.
"Shit." Kin pulls the wire, dragging the Uchia along the ground.
"Nice one Kin." Tayuya laughs, performing hand signs.
Fire style: Great fireball jutsu.
A giant fireball descended towards him.
With one hand, Sasuke activated the same jutsu, his own fireball aiming at Tayuya's. The two flames swirl around each other in a beautiful dance of nature.
"Show off." Tayuya clicked her tongue at his unnecessary display of Ninjutsu.
Kin holds Nuibari, feeling the blade send its intentions through her skin.
"Kill him..."
She heard a voice in her head, as if her body found new instincts, her eyes dilated, pulse quickening, and looking around, she could feel theshshinobi's heartbeat around her.
"Do it." Unable to resist anymore she moves, moving with the wind, she dashes towards Sasuke. Tayuya was taken by surprise by her speed.
Sasuke felt the hairs on his skin erect, his reflexes stimulated, and he thrust his sword up to block Kin's strike. Their blades clashed in sparks of steel. His Sharingan stared into his sunken black eyes.
"DIEEE!"
Jugo rushed, gash gone, body transformed as his skin is completely grey, arms turned into axe blades. Slashing at Kin he howled.
Kin dodges a slice near her head, shoulder, and stomach. Getting space from him, he throws Nuibari at Jugo, the blade slithering like a serpent, coiling at Jugo's elbow, reaching his neck, as if a sentient being, it constricted its prey.
"Ughhh!" Jugo chokes, trying to rip the wire of his throat, thin wire slicing into his skin.
"Jugo!" Karin called out, trying to intervene she stopped when Kin focused her killing intent on her. Sweating profusely, she froze like a deer.
Suigetsu clashes blades with Yugao, her fluid, calculated strikes meeting his wild and brutal slashes.
Kubikiribōchō is thirsty for blood but Yugao's moon dance sword style is annoyingly persistent.
The purple-haired anbu showed no struggle against his brutish attacks. Body moving like waves, she dances around him, cutting at mobility points like a surgeon. Suigetsu tried to turn to water to nullify her cuts, but she coated her blade in thin chakra. Completely at her mercy, his left shoulder slumped first– then he went to one knee after she cut his ankle–slice to his right hip, restricting his ability to stand. Suigetsu, kneeling like a fallen warrior, lost the majority of his body's movements.
"You're a monster. " He paled.
Yugao looked at her opponent, turned away, leaving him like that.
"Don't walk away! You did this to me!" His cries were unheard.
Sasuke watches his team in danger, Suigetsu immobile, Jūgo near decapitation and Karin held captive by the Redhead anbu.
"Oi–aren't you that Sasuke brat those Genin went after a year ago?" Tayuya questioned, her blade on Karin.
"S-Sas...uke." Karin stammered.
Sasuke gritted his teeth in frustration, ninja from other villages closing up on him.
Booom.
An explosion hit the compound walls, concrete pieces flying like confetti.
The ninja braces for impact.
" WHAT THE!?"
Booom
Splatt.
Korutsuchi watches her comrades get blown up, one second they were evading the debris and the next scream as their bodies blew up, intestines and organs decorating the floor, some blood and pieces of them on her.
Before she could react, a hand tapped her shoulder, turning to see a paper tag on her back, the symbols flaring as it was about to explode.
She let a silent scream, shock taking over her body.
Before the tag could turn her into pieces of meat, Taiju rushes over, body releasing steam, skin darkening.
Boooom.
He ripped the tag off with his bare hand, taking the explosive force, as the smoke cleared, his hand was still attached, with slight burns and skin peeling.
"Why did you save me?" Korutsuchi asked softly, body still shaking from the near-death experience.
As for team Taka, a black spiral started absorbing them, bodies shrinking as the spiral consumed them. Tayuya tried to stand Karin but her blade passed right through.
" What crap is this ?" The redhead Anbu growled, futile efforts at stabbing the spiral.
Temari stood alone as her teammates suffered the same fate as the Iwa nin. Their deaths were fast, tags to the neck, blood splattered. Temari calmed herself, not letting shock put her in danger.
" Sorry folks– can't let you kill them yet." A cheerful voice spoke.
Standing by the Chief, a tall man in a black cloak with red clouds, an orange mask with a spiral shape on the right side.
He waved the Chief's body like a puppeteer, the unconscious man at his control.
" You bastard!" Temari yelled, sending a massive whirlwind. Korutsuchi joined her attack by slamming her hands to the ground, the earth beneath the masked man, shaped to spikes, jabbing into his body.
To their shock, the dual attack was useless as the man phased right through the elements.
" Oh, that would've been really painful." He giggles, fanning himself with his hand.
" Who are you?" Mei demands. Hands crackling with lightning, she has full intentions of killing the Akatsuki member.
" Me?" He points to himself, " No one important at the moment...but soon we'll cross paths and I'll properly introduce myself. " His voice went from childlike to deep and threatening.
Before the Shinobis can process the unnerving feeling, his form is swallowed by the spiral.
Silence settles, nobody moves at all, taking in the sudden events, the rogue nin, dead bodies, and even Nuibari, their original target, is an afterthought right now.
" What just happened?" Tayuya growls, stabbing her sword in the ground.
[ Next day]
The sun shines on the village, bathing the flowers with life, villagers off to mundane tasks, but the Chief's compound was a wreck site, the garden burned, walls demolished, and the Chief sat in his office, eyes empty, staring into his cup of tea. In front of him was Squad-0, who stayed over to apologise and help. Temari stayed behind to bury her comrades. She was about to leave but was convinced by Yugao to stay after she promised to accompany her to her village.
As for Korutsuchi, she left immediately, after laying her fallen shinobi to rest, and departed with no words. The Kumo nin also escaped the cleanup. Karui called it "Even."
Mei took back Nuibari, and Kin reluctantly let the blade go, Ao glared, Chojuro looked at Kin with worry at the swords influence on her.
Mei made a remark to Taiju that made Tayuya really mad,she banned him from repeating it.
So now they find themselves at the Chief's office, comforting the man in shock,Tatsumaki being comforted by Taiju, to their shock the bastard isn't being perverted, just holding the Moon blossom.
" There,there...everything is going to be ok." He reassured her, patting her back as she cries.
Tayuya looked at him with clear disgust, " That man has some nerve. " She huffed.
Kin chuckled at her teammates antics.
Yugao stares at Taiju,aware of what happened prior to the battle. 'He has no worries about the Akatsuki, other villages wanting to end him,just women...I fell for a shameless man.' She thought to herself.
