"WAS it Kang Hanni again?"
Lee Haneum just shrugged at Kim Jaehan's question.
He showed up at school with a huge band-aid on his cheek to hide the long and deep scratch that Kang Hanni carved on his skin.
Hence, his best friend got worried.
"What is it this time?" Kim Jaehan asked. "Did she force you to sign with his sugar daddy's sketchy company again?"
Lee Haneum nodded. "They implied that Mr. Pyo is being patient for now, but that he'll resort to violence if he has to."
"Haneum-ah, that house is becoming more and more dangerous for you," Kim Jaehan said worriedly. "Come and live with me— my parents like you, so they'll welcome you with open arms."
The offer was tempting, actually.
But Lee Haneum didn't want Kim Jaehan's family to be involved with his problem.
Jaehan's family is middle-class, but it's because his parents are both successful professors who own a small but famous hagwon.
