Chapter 26 - Pikachu’s Magnetic Multiverse Journey! [26]

Weekend, the Tendo household.

"Eh? Ranma and Ray Chu are going to fight?"

In the bathroom, Akane—fresh from her morning run and about to change—heard her second sister Nabiki say this.

"Yep! Strong, handsome, incredible at martial arts—he's the perfect marriage candidate."

Nabiki's face was a picture of dreamy bliss.

"That person… can he really go up against Ranma?"

Akane couldn't help picturing the two of them. Compared to Ranma, Ray Chu looked far more refined and gentle.

Because of a certain misunderstanding, she'd once fought Ranma herself. As the only girl training at the Tendo Dojo, she was far from weak—but she still couldn't withstand even a single exchange with him.

"I don't know. But Uncle Genma did say that Ray Chu is the most talented disciple he's ever seen." Kasumi appeared at some point, tapping her cheek lightly as she spoke.

Talking as they walked, the three sisters passed through the hallway and entered their family dojo.

Sliding open the door, they saw their father and Genma seated on opposite sides. Before them, Ranma and Ray Chu faced each other in silence.

"Ahem. The essence of the Saotome School of Anything-Goes Martial Arts is that there are no rules. You comprehend your martial path through constant combat. You two, as senior and junior disciples—keep it clean and help each other improve."

Genma sat ramrod straight, doing his best to look like a strict master.

"Got it! Quit nagging, old man!"

Ranma shouted impatiently, his face lighting up as he looked at Ray Chu.

"Watch it—I'm coming!"

He moved fast—so fast that in an instant he appeared right in front of Ray Chu, his fist blossoming into countless afterimages.

Ray Chu didn't shift his lower body. His upper body alone swayed and spun with blinding speed. Bursts of pressure sliced past him, whipping his clothes into swirling ribbons.

Suddenly, Ray Chu's right leg carved a half‑arc through the air, sweeping at Ranma's lower body. Ranma leapt, only for a blur of overlapping kicks to chase him up. The moment they collided midair, the dojo echoed with crackling impacts before both of them were blasted apart.

"Not bad! You've gotten stronger fast."

Ranma landed with both feet pressed flat against a wall, standing at a perfect ninety‑degree angle as he faced Ray Chu.

Ray Chu exhaled sharply, a puff of white breath leaving him. This body really is a bit too weak… After only a brief exchange, it's already getting tiring.

Still—technique didn't fade. The combat experience he'd once possessed had, after these past days of adaptation, fully fused into the marrow of this body.

"Incredible! He's actually keeping up with Ranma."

Akane's eyes widened. She'd heard Ray Chu hadn't been training under Uncle Genma for very long, yet he could already fight like this. It was truly remarkable.

"Ahhh, can't believe it ended so fast."

Now that the bout was over, Nabiki looked mildly bored.

"That's how martial artists are. And they're brothers-in-training, so they must know each other very well."

Akane offered the explanation, only to be stopped by her father.

"Akane, I need a favor from you."

"Dad?"

"Ranma and Ray Chu are both your age—and Ranma is your fiancé. I want you to take them around the school."

Hearing that, Akane immediately thought of all the weirdos at school.

"With these two… I guess they'll adapt quickly enough."

...

So this is the culture of Japanese schools?

The next morning, Ray Chu, Ranma, and Akane stood at the gates of Furinkan High. Before them stretched a packed formation of fully armed male students. Ray Chu pointed at the dense crowd with great interest.

"Akane Tendo!"

"We heard you're engaged! Your fiancé is one of those two guys, right? If you're a man, come fight me!"

"Before I let you be stolen by enemy men, I'll defeat him myself!"

Ranma scratched his cheek awkwardly. "How the heck did the news spread so fast?"

Akane's gaze sharpened. She already knew exactly who was stirring up trouble. Clenching her fist, she charged straight into the crowd.

"You idiots, out of my way!"

Not far away, on an upper‑story windowsill, Nabiki leaned on her hand, sighing with a strange mix of admiration and amusement. "I knew it would turn out like this."

"A thousand yen per info tip—you must've made a fortune this morning."

A flamboyant man with a flower in his mouth walked up beside her, looking down at Akane as she bulldozed through the crowd toward the classroom. Using the same exaggerated tone, he said, "As expected of the girl I, Tatewaki Kuno, have chosen. No mere rabble could ever defeat her."

"I've got top‑secret information worth five thousand yen. Want it?"

"I'll buy it!"

Below, after a full chaotic brawl, Akane finally broke through the entire fully armed Furinkan male brigade, panting heavily.

"Weakness is a sin. A girl as strong as you—only I, Tatewaki Kuno, am worthy of you."

A single rose flashed toward her. Akane caught it with one hand and sighed before looking at the man ahead. "Good morning, Kuno‑senpai."

"I'd like to defeat you myself and confess on the spot—but there's something even more important right now."

Kuno leveled his wooden sword straight at Ray Chu.

"You must be Ranma, Akane's fiancé. I hear you're a martial artist as well. If you're a man, accept my challenge!"

"Sorry, wrong guy. He's Ranma." Ray Chu yanked the real Ranma forward, refusing to take the blame.

Akane's face darkened. "Sis told you, didn't she?"

Kuno ignored Akane completely. After glancing at the two boys, he declared loudly, "No man but I may stand beside Akane! I challenge you both!"

On the windowsill, Nabiki propped up her chin with a sigh.

"Ahh, that idiot Kuno…"

Ray Chu and Ranma exchanged a glance, nodded—and attacked at the same time.

Kuno barely had time to swing his wooden sword before he felt a simultaneous impact against his chest and forehead. The next second he was airborne, then slammed face‑down into the grass.

"Kuno‑senpai…"

"He got one‑shot…"

The onlookers gasped.

Could it be that, starting today, Furinkan High's top fighter spot was changing hands?

No—both first place and second place were already claimed. Kuno could only hope for third at best.

At that moment, every bystander felt as though destiny's gears had begun to turn. The future of Furinkan High would now revolve around blood and fire, steel and blossoms—ushering in a new era.

"You brats! What are you doing standing around the gate? Get to class!!"

A tardy discipline teacher roared, finally dispersing the crowd.

"Let's go."

Once people cleared out, Akane picked up her dropped schoolbag and led the two boys toward the classroom.

"These two are our new transfer students: Ray Chu and Saotome Ranma. Until now they've both been living in Huaguo."

"Wow! So that's Akane's fiancé?"

"Don't you think the one next to him is even cuter?"

"He doesn't seem to have a girlfriend… I'm so jealous…"

Whispers filled the classroom—especially from the girls—leaving Ray Chu feeling completely overwhelmed.

Suddenly, he missed being a Pikachu.

At least then he didn't have to deal with troublesome women.
