"I… I was killed in one move?!"
Lei Buqun froze the instant he was teleported out of the Decisive Battle Space, staring blankly at the prompt floating before his eyes.

He was a Special Elite of the Virtual Universe Company—one of the outstanding figures even among Special Elites.
In the past, he had fought nearly twenty-two thousand battles in the Decisive Battle Space without suffering a single defeat. At worst, he had only ever drawn.
Those capable of drawing with him were also nine-star geniuses—the top-tier prodigies of the major forces. Against such opponents, battles would stretch for hundreds or even thousands of exchanges before both sides concluded they were evenly matched.
But today—
He had been instantly killed by a nameless nobody.
"Heh… 'All races are useless dogs'…" Lei Buqun laughed softly, the sound bitter and hollow. "Useless dog…"
Every arrogant word he had spoken before entering the arena now felt like a merciless slap to the face.
This defeat—no, this crushing fiasco—would undoubtedly lower the company's evaluation of him and directly affect his future promotions.
Within the Virtual Universe Company, Special Elite disciples were merely the bottom tier. Only by becoming a Core Disciple could one receive true cultivation and priority resources.
And now, his already difficult path toward core disciple status had become even steeper.
Inside a meditation room.
The burly man stared at the screen in stunned silence.
He knew Lei Buqun's strength better than anyone—yet Lei Buqun had been killed by Jiang Yan with a single spear thrust.
"If this Jiang Yan joins our Virtual Universe Company, he'll at least qualify as a Core Disciple," the burly man muttered with a sigh. "Entering the Heaven and Earth Secret Realm wouldn't be difficult for him at all."
Even Lei Buqun hadn't met the requirements to become a Core Disciple.
Within the Virtual Universe Company, there were five cultivation secret realms for Core Disciples. Ranked from highest to lowest, they were:
Primordial Secret Realm,
Primordial Chaos Secret Realm,
Heaven and Earth Secret Realm,
Void Secret Realm,
End Secret Realm.
"No wonder Lord Manluo personally instructed me to focus on several stellar-level youths," the burly man said softly.
With that, he left the second-floor meditation room and headed toward the Heart Chamber on the third floor.
Meanwhile, after no further challengers appeared, Jiang Yan's figure vanished from the arena.

Jiang Yan glanced at his updated profile and nodded in satisfaction.
Defeating Lei Buqun—a nine-star opponent—had finally pushed his own evaluation to nine stars.
"Staying here is boring," Jiang Yan thought.
The Decisive Battle Space held little meaning for him now. Opponents at the same realm were simply too weak.
"Salamander," Jiang Yan ordered calmly, "set the conditions. From now on, only challengers rated nine stars or above are allowed to challenge me. Automatically refuse anyone below that."
"Yes, Master," Salamander replied immediately.
After today, his name would spread rapidly across Black Dragon Mountain Island. Challenges would come in droves—and Jiang Yan had no interest in wasting time on low-tier opponents.
With that settled, Jiang Yan exited the Decisive Battle Space.
The moment he returned to the Killing Field Hall, a staff member approached him.
"Hm?" Jiang Yan turned his gaze over.
It was a tall, slender man with purple skin and two tentacles atop his head.
"A distinguished guest awaits you in the Heart Chamber on the third floor," the staff member said with a smile. "Your three companions have already been invited as well."
"A Heart Chamber guest?" Jiang Yan's eyes flickered.
The Killing Field's structure was simple:
The first floor served as a gathering hall for elites.
The second floor contained meditation rooms, typically rented long-term by cosmic-level experts.
The third floor—the Heart Chamber—was reserved for true big shots of the Virtual Universe Company.
"Lead the way," Jiang Yan nodded.
He already had a good idea who was waiting.
Soon, Jiang Yan arrived at the third floor.
Hong, Thor, and Luo Feng were already standing outside the chamber.
"Third Brother!" they called out when they saw him.
"We just got here," Thor said quietly. "No idea which big shot wants to see us."
"You'll find out soon," Jiang Yan replied with a faint smile.
The staff member knocked.
"Come in."
A deep, hearty voice echoed from within, and the door slid open automatically.
"Please," the staff member said before stepping aside.
Jiang Yan entered, his gaze instinctively sweeping across the room.
Two figures were present.
At the main seat sat Manluo, his green skin wrinkled, his expression calm and genial.
To Manluo's left sat a burly man in battle robes. On his chest was a medal bearing a sea of monstrous blood with two planets suspended above it—
The mark of a Two-Star Universe Mercenary.
A Domain Lord-level powerhouse.
His name was Mingyu, an external deacon of the Virtual Universe Company's Black Dragon Mountain branch.
"Oh my god…" Thor's pupils shrank. "A two-star universe mercenary… a Domain Lord!"
A Domain Lord striking Earth from space wouldn't destroy the planet—but the aftermath alone could wipe out humanity entirely.
Hong and Luo Feng were equally shaken.
And Manluo—seated at the head—was clearly even stronger.
"I greet you, sirs," Jiang Yan and the others said respectfully.
Respect for strength was a universal law.
"Haha, no need for formalities," Manluo said with a warm smile. "Hong, Thor, Luo Feng—I noticed you long ago. But Jiang Yan… this is the first time I've seen you in the Killing Field."
"And you've given me a very big surprise."
For someone like Manluo, investigating their identities was trivial. All four had registered within the Virtual Universe Network.
"What level is your comprehension now?" Manluo asked directly, eyes fixed on Jiang Yan. "And when did you master your domain?"
In the Decisive Battle Space, Jiang Yan had defeated every opponent in a single move. Manluo could only tell that Jiang Yan's domain was at least triple-layered—but his instincts told him it was far more.
Mingyu also stared intently. Lei Buqun's defeat had exceeded all expectations.
"Planet-level domain mastery," Jiang Yan replied calmly. "Currently—ninefold."
"What?!"
Manluo shot to his feet, shock written plainly across his face.
