She stared at him for a some moment, then glanced around the sky and palace as if searching for hidden figures silently confirming his safety.
After a brief pause, she bowed slightly. "Since you are a guest from a higher realm… please, enter the Ten Thousand Beast Palace."
Lin Yang nodded with a smile and followed her inside.
The main hall of the palace was vast and ancient.
Metal pillars towered upward, carved with pictures and statues of primordial beast. Crimson lanterns burned with beast flames, illuminating the hall in a deep red glow.
Without hesitation—Lin Yang walked straight to the highest seat. He sat down comfortably, crossing one leg over the other.
The woman paused.
A flicker of faint annoyance—passed through her eyes.
