Chapter 54 - Silent Slaughter

The deck was silent.

So silent it felt suffocating.

Blood covered the planks, spreading outward and soaking the entire pirate ship. The thick stench of iron hung heavy in the air, refusing to disperse.

Raifeng stood quietly on the deck.

The katana in his hand was still dripping with blood.

Drip.

Drip.

Corpses lay scattered everywhere.

Not a single pirate remained standing.

At this moment, Raifeng was the only living person on the entire ship.

From beginning to end, his expression had remained unchanged.

No excitement.

No exhilaration.

No emotional fluctuation.

As if what he had just done—

Was nothing more than a trivial matter.

He slowly raised his eyes, calmly sweeping his gaze across the deck.

The White Bear Pirates…

Were completely annihilated.

A pirate crew with a total bounty exceeding one hundred million Berries—

Wiped out by him alone.

This outcome did not surprise Raifeng in the slightest.

If opponents like these could threaten him, then all the training he had endured until now would have been meaningless.

He took a step forward.

His boot sank into a pool of blood, producing a faint, wet sound.

The deck was already buried beneath corpses.

Some had their throats slit.

Some had been beheaded.

Some had collapsed without ever seeing their killer.

It was like a slaughterhouse.

Yet Raifeng showed no reaction.

His gaze remained steady and composed.

"The mission…"

"…is complete."

From the moment he stepped onto this ship, the outcome had already been decided.

Whether capture or death—

Once pirates like these drew their blades, there was only one possible ending.

Raifeng understood that clearly.

That was why he had not hesitated.

Why he had shown no mercy.

Why he had held nothing back.

Because pirates like them would never stop killing innocent people.

Leaving them alive would only invite more bloodshed.

Raifeng slowly sheathed his katana.

The blade slid back into the scabbard with a crisp metallic sound.

The dripping finally stopped.

He exhaled softly.

Then he turned and walked toward the center of the deck.

All around him—

Death.

No movement.

No sound.

Only silence.

After confirming there were no survivors, Raifeng lifted his head and looked toward the distant sea.

The sun was beginning to sink.

The sky was dyed a faint crimson—

Almost the same color as the blood beneath his feet.

"Next…"

"…back to the Marines."

This battle would soon be reported.

The bounty of the White Bear Pirates would be erased.

And his own evaluation—

Would rise once again.

Raifeng did not care about fame.

Nor did he care about rewards.

What he cared about—

Was becoming stronger.

Strong enough that no one could ever threaten the people he cared about.

He walked toward the edge of the deck.

The sea breeze brushed against his clothes.

Above him, the pirate flag fluttered weakly atop the mast.

Raifeng glanced at it once.

Then, without hesitation—

He slashed.

Slash!

The pirate flag split apart and fell onto the blood-soaked deck.

At that moment—

The White Bear Pirates ceased to exist.

Not only in reality—

But symbolically as well.

Raifeng turned around.

He prepared to leave.

Behind him—

A ship filled with corpses.

Ahead of him—

The vast sea.

And beyond that—

Even stronger enemies.

Raifeng's eyes narrowed slightly.

"There are still many pirates…"

"And I'm not done yet."

With that, he stepped forward.

His figure vanished from the deck, heading back toward the waiting Marines—

Leaving behind only silence.
