The morning's classes had ended.
Everyone gathered in the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Before lunch even started, a young figure holding a camera suddenly appeared.
He took out an old-fashioned camera and started snapping pictures of Argus.
Goyle and Crabbe looked displeased and stood up to walk toward the figure.
"Wait...wait a minute!" The young man was so startled that he took several steps back and hurriedly explained to the group.
"Mr. Grindelwald, my name is Colin Creevey, from Gryffindor."
"I just wanted to take a few photos with you to prove that I met you."
"My father is a milkman, and he has never met any important figures in the magical world, so… so I want him to…"
"Alright, Goyle, Crabbe, don't be so nervous." Argus looked at the shy boy in front of him.
Argus remembered Colin was a Harry Potter fan, right?
How had it become his?
Despite his doubts, Argus quickly adjusted his mindset and expression. Having dealt with reporters from the Ministry of Magic and the Daily Prophet, handling a newly enrolled wizard was a piece of cake for him.
He smiled and looked at Colin.
"Hi Colin! It's nice to meet you."
"Taking photos is fine, but next time it would be best to give prior notice."
"I often handle Slytherin affairs, and sometimes it's not convenient to take photos."
Colin lowered his head sheepishly: "I'm sorry, Mr. Grindelwald, I don't know much about these things. I'm so sorry for the trouble."
"No, I was just chatting with a friend, it's nothing." Argus poked Draco with his finger.
"Draco, can you take a picture of me with Colin? That way his family will feel more at ease."
"Really!"
Colin was overjoyed and rushed to Argus's side, afraid that he might change his mind.
On the Gryffindor table not far away.
Ron glared resentfully at Argus, who was being fawned over.
Holding a roll of electrical tape, he wrapped his broken wand in two.
"The evil Slytherins are always up to these tricks of winning people over!"
"So what if they opened a few stores? What's so great about that!"
Just then, an owl flew in from the sky.
Because it was noon and the first day of school, this was the only messenger from the entire school to deliver the mail.
It instantly attracted everyone's attention!
Click!
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the owl crashed heavily onto the dining bowl in front of Ron.
Various kinds of food scattered all over the ground, attracting ridicule from many people.
"That bird is incredibly stupid..."
As soon as Ron finished speaking, his expression turned to fear when he saw the red letter in the owl's beak.
He reached out and picked it up with trembling hands.
"Another Howler, well done Weasley!"
"Quick, open it and let us see! Let us hear what good deeds you've done this time!"
"What are you standing there for? Tear it open! You think you can sneak back to the dorm to listen after class?!"
"..."
A burst of laughter erupted from the crowd.
Ron had experienced the bullying in his first year and was already used to it.
Ginny was different!
The girl was already shy, and when this happened, she was so embarrassed that she couldn't lift her head.
Ron, with a look of grim determination, closed his eyes and tore open the Howler.
The next second, Mrs. Weasley's furious roar swept across the entire Gryffindor table!
"Ronald Weasley!"
"How dare you steal your dad's car without permission! You're driving me crazy!"
"Because of you, your father is now under investigation by the Ministry of Magic! It's all your fault!"
"If you dare to cause trouble again, we'll bring you back right away!"
Mrs. Weasley's roar made the plates on the table rattle, and even Ron, who was closest to it, experienced tinnitus.
The moment he turned to face Ginny, she turned deathly pale.
She was terrified that she would end up like Ron, being publicly berated in front of countless people.
Fortunately, the Howler's expression softened instantly.
"Dear Ginny, congratulations on getting into Gryffindor! Your father and I are so proud of you!"
After saying that, it tore itself to pieces.
After a brief period of deathly silence, the entire hall instantly transformed into a sea of joy.
Unable to bear the stares of those around her, Ginny's eyes reddened, and she rushed out the door.
Percy glared at Ron and turned to chase after her.
The Weasley family has six boys and only one girl, Ginny.
It's still the smallest one!
Normally, everyone doted on her; when had she ever suffered such injustice?
Even the Weasley twins, known for their good tempers, looked at Ron with a hint of displeasure.
At the Slytherin table, Argus looked helplessly at Draco and offered his advice.
"Take it easy, Draco, your smile is too obvious."
"Why should I!" Draco protested.
"Last time at Flourish and Blotts, if it weren't for him, my dad wouldn't have lost so much face!"
"It's not that I don't want you to laugh, it's that you're laughing so hard you're practically drooling."
"Ah!"
Draco hurriedly grabbed a tissue to wipe it off.
After Ron's ordeal, everyone had almost finished their lunch.
Argus and the others also prepared to attend the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
As usual, Argus would definitely be sitting in the first row.
But today, the front row seats in the classroom were almost entirely occupied by little witches.
They were excitedly discussing Gilderoy Lockhart's legendary experiences.
The group of male wizards disdainfully took their seats in the back row.
"Argus is here!"
"Quick, I'll move over a bit to make room for Argus!"
"No, why should I! Why don't you move over a little? I want to sit with Argus too!"
When the little witches saw Argus, their eyes lit up, and they shoved each other around in their seats.
"No need to squeeze in, Draco and I can sit in the back."
If this were in another class, Argus might have squeezed in with them.
But Lockhart's class was a complete disaster, so forget about it.
Listening to his lectures was less useful than reading books yourself!
Before long, Gilderoy Lockhart appeared before everyone wearing a pale yellow robe.
His golden hair was neatly combed.
There were only two words written on his entire body.
Show-off!
"Let me introduce myself!" Lockhart said, his hands resting on the stair railing, a narcissistic smile on his face.
"I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher... Gilderoy Lockhart!"
"Also a third-class medalist of the Order of Merlin, an honorary member of the Anti-Dark Magic League, and a five-time winner of the Most Charming Smile Award from Wizarding Weekly."
"But I'm low-key and never publicize it. I didn't drive away the Wendigo ghost with a smile!"
As he spoke, he winked at the portrait.
Unfortunately, his supposedly perfect opening remarks did not achieve the desired effect.
Apart from the little witches in the front row who looked at him with admiration, no one else paid him any attention.
Lockhart's skin was much thicker than Argus's.
Even in complete silence, his smile remained unchanged.
He pulled a stack of papers from the podium.
"I see you bought my complete works, that's great."
"Let's start today's lesson with a short quiz!"
As he spoke, he handed out the test papers.
"Don't worry, it's just to check if you've been reading carefully!"
Let's see how many you can answer correctly!
