Chapter 99 - [99] Bookstore Brawl Ignites! Harry and Ron Vanish

The Weasley family and the Malfoys had a long-standing feud.

Not long ago, Arthur had been thoroughly mocked by Lucius in the bookstore.

Now that he had seen his own son complaining, how could he possibly stand it!

They didn't even ask why.

He immediately pounced on Lucius.

"Go, Dad, hit him!"

"Beat him up! Beat him up now, Dad!"

The Weasley twins, always eager for a good show, cheered loudly for their father from the sidelines.

Mrs. Weasley frantically tried to stop the two of them.

Ron hadn't expected things to escalate this much, and his face turned deathly pale with fright.

The bookstore's focus had shifted from Lockhart's book signing to the fight between Lucius and Arthur.

Lockhart was so angry he jumped up and down.

The bookstore was filled with the staff's attempts to dissuade them and the crowd's jeering.

The entire bookstore was packed with onlookers.

Argus noticed that during their seemingly intense battle, Lucius secretly placed a diary in Ginny's book box.

"Argus, please help me, separate them!"

Draco saw Argus as a savior and rushed to Argus's side to plead.

Argus spotted Hagrid crowding outside the door to watch the commotion and waved his arms, shouting.

"Hagrid, come help me!"

Hagrid was clearly taken aback when he heard his own name, and only when he got closer did he see that it was Argus.

"So it was you, Argus!"

"Are you here to buy things? Yes, school is about to start, so it's time to prepare what you need for the start of the semester."

"We can talk about this later, but if you don't intervene soon, those two might really get into a fight!"

Argus shrugged and pointed to Lucius and his companion who were fighting.

Hagrid grinned: "No problem!"

He walked up to the two of them in a few steps, his massive body towering over them.

He picked them up, one in each hand, and tossed them aside like he was carrying chicks.

Lucius was clearly a bit agitated and glared angrily at Arthur.

Argus turned and said goodbye, then left with Draco.

Several shop assistants recognized Lucius and clearly didn't want to provoke him while he was in a bad mood.

After a brief discussion, it was decided to report the matter and hand it over to the store manager for handling.

Mrs. Weasley hurriedly treated Arthur's wounds, while the Weasley twins came up to Arthur with smiles and imitated a fight between the two.

They kept praising Arthur's heroic performance.

Poor Ginny, her newly bought books were scattered all over the floor, and some were even stepped on.

She picked up the books alone, feeling wronged.

Argus quietly stepped forward, bent down, and placed one secondhand book after another into Ginny's bookcase.

He quietly tucked only a black diary into his sleeve.

"Check to see if anything is lost."

"While there's still time."

Argus's gentle smile made Ginny blush.

She lowered her head and timidly replied, "No...no."

"That's good. Go check on your father; he's badly injured."

Argus tightened his grip on Ginny's book and looked toward the direction where Arthur was resting.

After treating Arthur's wounds, Mrs. Weasley finally had time to ask what had happened.

She summoned Ron and questioned him sternly.

"Ron Weasley! What on earth is going on?!"

Arthur Weasley's eyes were also fixed on Ron, waiting for his response.

He and Lucius had a long-standing feud and were well aware of each other's personalities.

Given Lucius's arrogant nature and constant awareness of his aristocratic demeanor, he would never normally do something as self-degrading as laying a hand on a child like Ron.

Unless Ron did something to anger him!

Seeing Ron's evasive gaze, Mrs. Weasley became even more certain!

"Mother!"

Ginny's soft call instantly softened Mrs. Weasley's expression.

"Oh, baby, are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Mom. Oh, by the way, Mr. Grindelwald helped me pack up the books."

When Mrs. Weasley looked at Argus beside her, her eyes were filled with such tenderness that they seemed to well up with tears.

"Thank you for your help again, Argus."

"It was nothing!"

Mrs. Weasley's enthusiastic gratitude almost overwhelmed Argus.

Then, she learned the whole story from other people.

Her face immediately darkened.

"Ron Weasley! Harry is your friend, how could you do this to him!"

"I was wrong, Mom!"

Ron knew he couldn't escape the consequences, and he also knew that he was the one who had hurt his father, so he obediently lowered his head and admitted his mistake.

Argus wasn't in the mood to watch Ron get scolded. After saying goodbye to the Weasleys, he prepared to return to acolytes Manor.

Lockhart wanted to ride on Argus's coattails again, but when he found that Argus completely ignored him, he could only leave dejectedly.

...

Time flew, and before they knew it, it was time for the start of the new school year.

Inside a carriage of the Hogwarts Express.

Argus and Hermione each held a book and read quietly.

Parvati and Padma, who were standing nearby, wanted to say something but were afraid of disturbing Argus. Just as they were hesitating about how to start, the door to the private room suddenly opened.

"Argus, have you seen Harry?"

Draco's carefree voice drew strong dissatisfaction from the Parvati sisters.

They glared at him angrily!

I've been waiting for ages, afraid of disturbing Argus!

And you, you just come up here and start yelling!

You've never been beaten up by thugs before, have you?

Sensing the unfriendly looks from the two women, Draco shrank back guiltily.

Argus put down the book and then remembered.

In the original book, it seemed that Harry and Ron didn't even get on the train.

Dobby, the house-elf of the Malfoy family who longed for freedom, had tripped them up as they entered the station, forcing them to rely on Arthur's flying car to barely reach Hogwarts.

Unfortunately, it had little to do with me.

Ron had ruined his own life, so he had no one else to blame but himself!

This opportunity also allowed the flying car to come into the view of some wizards, laying the foundation for future mass production.

He shook his head.

"I didn't see him, but he was with Ron. Even if he didn't get on the train, he could still use Floo Powder to get to Hogsmeade Village, so he must have made it."

Don't worry.

"That's true."

Draco nodded and then stopped paying attention.

Every time Hogwarts students missed their ride, no one seemed to get into any trouble.

Surely it couldn't be that something bad happened when it was their turn, right?

But this time, Harry and Ron were going to disappoint him.

At this moment, Ron was driving his father's flying car, wobbling and flying in mid-air.

"Let's go! All we need to do is find the Hogwarts Express!"

"Ron, can you really drive?" Harry gripped the car door tightly with one hand, looking at Ron suspiciously.

His eyes were filled with distrust.

"Trust me, it'll be fine!"
