Chapter 73 - [73] Arthur's Notebook – The Thrill of the Flying Car Invention!

"Dad, Mom!"

"Mr. Grindelwald has arrived!"

The man with the long red hair hurriedly opened the door to let Argus in, shouting into the room.

"Hello, Mr. Grindelwald, I am William Arthur Weasley, the eldest son of the Weasley family. You can just call me Bill."

Bill reached out his hand to Argus.

Argus put down the gift in his hand, gently grasped Bill's hand, and bowed.

"Argus Grindelwald, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Weasley."

A series of hurried footsteps came from the stairs inside the house.

Mrs. Weasley came up and hugged Argus tightly.

"Good boy, welcome to the Burrow."

Arthur smiled and welcomed him.

He happened to be off that day, so he was staying home.

He had just been thinking of going to the backyard to tinker with some Muggle items, but he had not expected Argus to come over.

Argus was very polite and said with a slight apology, "I apologize for disturbing you without informing you beforehand."

"What are you saying, Argus! Come in and sit down."

"You've come at the perfect time! I just made some cookies this morning, come and have a taste!"

Mrs. Weasley warmly pulled Argus to sit down and brought a large bowl of cookies from a nearby table, placing it in front of Argus.

Argus briefly surveyed the surroundings of the Burrow.

The interior of the house was enchanted with a seamless expansion spell, so the space was not small.

It just had a lot of miscellaneous items scattered around, and the dining room, kitchen, and living room were all placed at one end, making it look a bit messy and crowded.

Perhaps due to its age, the house looked quite dilapidated, but there was no sign of dirt or disorder.

It was obviously because Mrs. Weasley cleaned it regularly.

Argus picked up a biscuit in front of him and put it in his mouth.

A milky aroma filled the mouth, indicating generous use of ingredients.

"It's delicious, I really like it."

"I'm glad you like it!" Mrs. Weasley smiled broadly. "I'll pack some for you so you can take it with you when you go back to school."

"Thank you so much!"

Argus did not refuse Mrs. Weasley's offer.

He could tell that Mrs. Weasley's words were not just polite formalities, but a genuine expression of her delight that he liked her cookies.

Ron's self-consciousness about bringing his own snacks on the train was something only children would do.

Upon hearing the reply, Mrs. Weasley got up and went to the kitchen to prepare cookies for Argus.

Arthur sat down next to Argus, and his words immediately drew the attention of Mrs. Weasley.

"Argus, how's it going with the Ministry of Magic? They haven't given you any trouble, have they?"

"No, with such a big fuss last night, they probably won't dare to make things difficult for me anymore."

"I guess so. I'll ask the Ministry of Magic for your opinion when I get to work."

Arthur patted Argus on the shoulder to comfort him.

Bang!

Just then, an explosion suddenly came from the backyard of the Burrow!

Argus instinctively drew his wand, about to do something, when he turned around and saw Arthur's embarrassed smile and Mrs. Weasley's angry expression.

"Arthur, how many times have I told you! If you want to get your hands on these Muggle items, go outside, not at home!"

"Molly…there's a child…" Arthur pleaded softly.

Mrs. Weasley glared at him fiercely, but still gave him some face and did not say anything more.

Arthur smiled apologetically at Argus: "I'm sorry, you must have found this amusing."

Argus smiled slightly, feeling a pang of emotion in his heart.

No wonder George and Fred loved to conduct all sorts of experiments at home!

Turns out he had a dad as a role model!

Suddenly, he remembered the flying car that Arthur was researching in the original story!

According to the timeline, Ron and Harry left by car at the start of the next semester.

In other words, Arthur had now developed this vehicle!

This was a great product! If the Ministry of Magic approved its mass production, it could become a strong competitor to flying broomsticks!

"Uncle Arthur, I've always been very interested in things from the Muggle world!"

"If you don't mind, could you show me around your collection?"

"Really!" Arthur's eyes lit up.

In the wizarding world, Muggle items had always been despised, which was one of the main reasons why he was looked down upon by pure-blood families.

Now that someone with the same hobbies as him had finally appeared, how could he not be excited!

"Of course it's true, but I don't know if Uncle Arthur will agree."

"Agreed, of course I agree!"

Fearing that Argus might change his mind, Arthur pulled him toward the shed in the backyard.

Although it was called a backyard, it was really no different from an open field.

The garden had trees that grew around the base of the walls, overgrown weeds and turf, and a large pond.

Like many wizards' backyards, it was often inhabited by goblins.

"Get out of the way, little ones!"

Arthur walked carefully, afraid of stepping on them.

Arriving near a dilapidated shed not far away, Arthur excitedly opened the door.

"Let me introduce you to this flying car that I spent a long time creating!"

Argus carefully examined the old Ford in front of him.

On the surface, it looked no different from an ordinary car.

However, Argus could sense that it contained a great deal of magic.

"Want to come up and give it a try? I'll show you around."

Arthur could tell that Argus was really interested, so he took the initiative to speak.

Argus hesitated for a moment: "Do you... have a driver's license?"

"Driver's license? What's that?"

Really!

I knew it! Wizards would never do this kind of Muggle stuff!

Illegal modifications and no driver's license!

If something happened in the air, I would not even have a chance to come down!

Argus felt a chill run down his spine at the thought of Ron's terrifying driving skills.

He quickly changed the subject.

"Uncle Arthur, I'd like to know, specifically where on the car should this modification be done with magic?"

"That's a complicated matter!"

"I originally wanted to use a levitation spell on the entire car, but I found that even if I used the spell, I could not control it."

"It would only make the car float. To control its buoyancy, you need to disassemble the internal parts."

"I must say, Muggles have quite the imagination..."

Upon hearing this, Arthur's interest was piqued, and he kept talking to Argus.

"I still have notes from that time regarding the modifications to this car. If you want them, I can find them for you."

"Of course! Thank you, Uncle Arthur!" Argus was both surprised and delighted.

These notes were not something an ordinary person could produce!

Based on this notebook, Argus could invent even more Muggle items that incorporated magic by exploring Arthur's ideas.

At that time, they could put in a good word for Fudge and also put some pressure on the pure-blood families.

I guarantee you'll make a fortune!

"No big deal! There aren't many wizards who like the Muggle world! Hahaha..."

Arthur was delighted to have found a like-minded friend. He rummaged through the shed for a while and finally found a dusty notebook, which he handed to Argus.

"This is it; it contains quite a few of my ideas."

Just then, an angry voice rang out.

"Arthur, you're not allowed to corrupt the children!"
