Chapter 70 - [70] The Second Act's Dramatic Finale!

Fudge collapsed to the ground as if all his strength had been drained.

He didn't even notice the wand rolling out of his hand.

Argus said nothing, he just looked at him quietly.

Fudge was a man who appeared kind on the surface but was actually weak and had no powerful family backing him.

It wouldn't be easy to make him fall out with Dumbledore.

However, he had one major weakness.

It meant they had an extremely strong desire to control power!

Once you grasped this point, it wasn't difficult to take advantage of him.

As for the Auror Command, Fudge needed to have people planted inside!

That was no ordinary department. With just a few lackeys under Fudge's command, how could he possibly control this group of Aurors?

Dream on!

In the end, a suitable person would still have to be selected from among the Aurors or other department leaders to take over.

This was when Argus's chance to make a move had come!

Soon after arriving in England, Argus had Vinda plant people in the Ministry of Magic, ready to push them into key positions as soon as they became available!

When Fudge and Amelia were fighting tooth and nail for the position of Auror Commander, that would be the time for the acolytes to reap the benefits.

After about two or three minutes, Fudge's mood seemed to have improved slightly.

He stood up and looked at Argus.

"Let's go, Mr. Grindelwald. If we dawdle any longer, who knows what kind of trouble the Hogwarts professors will cause."

"It's best to resolve this as soon as possible!"

Argus bowed slightly, patted his chest, and smiled, "As you wish!"

...

The Ministry of Magic's main hall.

Even though some time had passed, many wizards had been keeping their promises.

Quietly awaiting the arrival of Argus.

However, occasional whispers still circulated.

"Why hasn't Mr. Grindelwald come out yet? Could something have really happened to him?"

"Probably not. Didn't you see all the Hogwarts professors are here? And Headmaster Dumbledore too! With them here, they'll definitely get justice for Mr. Grindelwald."

"That's right, Hogwarts will not let Mr. Grindelwald be wrongly accused."

"Hey! Look, Mr. Grindelwald is out!"

"Mr. Grindelwald!"

"Mr. Grindelwald, how are you?"

Upon seeing Argus appear, the crowd's tone immediately became concerned.

All eyes were on the blond, blue-eyed boy.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your help today."

"Without you, I don't know how long I would have had to wait to regain my freedom."

Thank you everyone!

Argus slowly stepped forward, bowed slightly, and gave a deep bow to everyone.

"Mr. Grindelwald, you're too kind!"

"You were arrested and brought to the Ministry of Magic to protect us, we can't just stand by and do nothing!"

"That's right!"

A chorus of agreement rang out from the crowd, clearly unconcerned about the effort and time spent on it.

Argus took a deep breath, paused briefly, and then continued speaking.

"I think everyone is curious about what I went through at the Ministry of Magic."

"To be honest, just now, I was interrogated repeatedly and asked to confess my crimes time and time again."

"To get the answers they wanted, they were even willing to use truth serum!"

"Using truth serum to force an eleven-year-old to speak."

His eyes were full of disappointment.

The hurt in his tone only fueled everyone's anger.

They couldn't believe that the Ministry of Magic could be so despicable!

Because of his own prejudice, he treated a child who was protecting an ordinary wizard as a criminal!

Everyone turned their attention to Fudge, hoping he could provide a reasonable explanation.

All they received in response was silence.

All of this was observed by Argus.

"They said I was guilty, that I disregarded the pact between goblins and wizards and cast spells on them in public."

"During my detention, I fell into self-doubt more than once."

"Did I really do something wrong?"

"Perhaps I should choose to be tolerant, perhaps I should choose to settle things peacefully like them."

"Mr. Grindelwald…" The somewhat sentimental witch's eyes had already reddened without her realizing it.

They were clearly upholding justice, but were falsely accused of being criminals who disrupted the peace.

This sense of injustice and resentment was beyond words.

Several male wizards quietly clenched their fists.

Argus looked up and scanned the crowd in turn.

"But at this moment, after seeing the hope for light in the eyes of everyone here, I understand."

"Three hundred years ago, we were betrayed by the people we knew best, the people who were once our respected leaders."

"They disregarded our fallen brethren and hid the entire wizarding world until this day!"

"Two hundred years ago, we were betrayed by the people we trusted most, who claimed to be our ministers and chairmen."

"They ended the war between wizards and goblins, and handed over the custody of Galleons to the goblins."

Are these people guilty? And who should judge their crimes?

"If I am guilty."

"Then my crime is to defend the rights of British wizards!"

Clap clap clap!

An unprecedented round of applause and cheers erupted from the crowd!

And it was getting worse!

Most of the people who came here that day were ordinary wizards.

Suffering countless oppressions, they had long been dissatisfied with the upper echelons of the wizarding world!

Argus's words undoubtedly awakened the deep-seated indignation within them!

"That's right!"

"Well said!! Why should we shed blood and sacrifice our lives, only to end up like this!"

"Support Mr. Grindelwald!!"

Countless people shouted and cheered!

Finally, they all turned into a cry for Argus!

Argus raised his hand, and the crowd instantly fell silent.

"Before dawn arrives, someone must illuminate the darkness!"

"The burning flames will bring light to this wizarding world and guide newcomers on their way."

"Our destiny, the destiny of British wizards, will be created by our own hands, and no one else will be allowed to control it!"

"Grindelwald!"

"Grindelwald!"

"Grindelwald!"

The crowd erupted in cheers.

In the entire hall, only the name of Argus echoed.

Looking at the wizards who were so excited they were practically going crazy, Argus smiled confidently.

Just as he was about to say something more, he suddenly caught a glimpse of several familiar figures standing quietly not far away.

Dumbledore, dressed in a white robe, stood out conspicuously.

However, compared to the excited crowd, Dumbledore's gaze toward Argus became increasingly wary.

And it was complicated!

Tonks, on the other hand, seemed very excited, waving her little fists.

She kept cheering on Argus.

Argus had a bad feeling.

"After returning to school this time, I don't think life will be so easy!"
