Breakfast in the Great Hall — The Dragon Prince and His Snow Fox
Morning sunlight streamed through the enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall as Keith and Rias walked in together. On Keith's shoulder, the tiny Alolan Vulpix curled up like a fluffy white scarf, dozing peacefully.
The moment they stepped inside, the hall buzzed.
Students elbowed each other.
Whispered.
Stared — some at Keith, some at Vulpix, and some at the red-haired beauty walking beside him.
Keith didn't notice any of it.
He was busy yawning.
◆ The Hufflepuff Table
He took his usual seat at the Hufflepuff table.
To his right sat:
Rias — proudly clinging to his arm Helena — smiling softly Susan — who immediately poked Vulpix's tail
To his left sat:
Tonks — turning bubblegum pink whenever Keith glanced at her Cedric — sighing because he was compared to Keith every day
Vulpix stretched in Keith's lap, nudged his stomach, and went right back to sleep.
Keith absentmindedly stroked her soft fur while eating breakfast.
The sight was devastatingly adorable.
◆ Hogwarts Reacts
All around the hall:
Students pretended to read newspapers while sneaking glances Girls from every table whispered about "Keith and his fox" Some boys glared holes into their plates
Two in particular were suffering.
◆ Ron Weasley's Jealousy
Ron scowled so hard his nose practically curled.
Reasons for Ron's Jealousy:
Keith was handsome Keith was rich Keith was stronger than the entire Quidditch team combined Keith had skills that made Hermione stare And MOST IMPORTANTLY…
Keith was surrounded by:
Rias, Susan, Helena, Penelope, Hermione, Daphne, Cassandra, Katie, Angelina…
Ron wasn't sure if Keith was collecting rare artifacts or building a kingdom.
◆ Draco Malfoy's Jealousy
Draco Malfoy was worse.
He tried to act superior but his eye twitched every time he looked at Keith.
Keith was richer.
Keith was more talented.
Keith had girls from every house liking him.
Even pure-blood princesses like Daphne and Cassandra smiled at him.
Draco's pride cried.
◆ Neville Longbottom — The Boy Who Lived
Neville (the Boy Who Lived in this story) watched Keith with a mixture of awe and admiration.
He wasn't jealous — he just wondered how Keith managed to be so… effortlessly amazing.
◆ Quidditch Practice with Helena
After breakfast, Keith and Helena headed to the Quidditch pitch for their first Hufflepuff practice since Keith's acceptance.
Helena flew like a natural.
Keith flew like someone who was born for the sky.
His movements were smooth, controlled, and terrifyingly precise.
Even Cedric paused mid-flight to watch.
Helena and Keith practiced coordinated moves — synchronized loops and sharp dives — and the rest of the team simply stared.
Whitethorn, the captain, muttered:
"Bloody hell… the boy's a one-man army."
◆ Fred & George Try to Recruit Vulpix
During a break, Fred and George cornered Keith.
Fred:
"So, Keith, hear us out."
George:
"We have a proposition."
Fred:
"Does your adorable snow fox—"
George:
"—want to join the noble Weasley Brotherhood of Mischief?"
Vulpix blinked.
Then let out a tiny frost sneeze that froze Fred's sleeve.
Fred:
"…That's a yes."
Keith sighed.
Keith:
"No recruiting my fox for explosions."
Fred and George smiled.
Which meant they were absolutely going to recruit his fox for explosions.
◆ Vulpix's First Chaos in Hogwarts
Chaos arrived quicker than expected.
Later that afternoon:
Peeves tried to grab Vulpix Vulpix panicked Vulpix sneezed
One single tiny ice breath.
And suddenly:
Peeves floated around covered in icicles 12 suits of armor froze mid-step The corridor turned into a winter wonderland A Slytherin student slid across the ice and crashed into a tapestry
Fred and George immediately declared Vulpix the Patron Saint of Pranks.
Professor Sprout?
She laughed for five minutes straight.
McGonagall?
She sighed but secretly took a picture.
Snape?
He muttered something about "blasted magical foxes."
Rias?
She hugged Vulpix and said:
"No one is allowed to scold her. She's too cute."
Keith rubbed his temples.
His peaceful days were officially over.
