Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Massacre

On the outskirts of the town of Kumira, a large new cemetery had been constructed, densely packed with graves.

It was a collective effort, built by the surviving townspeople to honor their deceased friends and family.

The graves were simple—just shallow holes with wooden markers—but they carried immense meaning.

Few people remained in the town. Many of the fortunate young had chosen to leave this unfortunate place.

Those left behind, apart from the elderly, were mostly impoverished people who had lost their families and possessions.

"They used to come here, take what they wanted, and abduct people with certain skills—but never like this, never a massacre!"

"They say Ethan helped you escape. That's a direct challenge to their leader!"

The speaker was one of the few young survivors Qin Xiao and Tony had encountered in the town.

He guided them toward Ethan's grave, his words leaving Tony even more silent.

"Why don't you leave? I mean, if you want to leave, I can help."

After a long pause, Tony asked.

"Sir, this is my home. My parents and sister are buried here. I want to be with them!"

A flash of sorrow crossed the young man's eyes. This was his only home, yet he had nowhere else to go.

"This is Ethan's grave. He was a good doctor and helped many of us. We made his gravestone the largest!"

The young man led Qin Xiao and Tony to a cemetery on the outskirts of the town.

"I'm sorry, brother! I should have thought ahead. I should have noticed. But I promise you, no one will harm the innocent around here ever again!"

As he spoke, Tony placed a cheeseburger on Ethan's grave.

Before returning to Los Angeles, Ethan had shared a moment with Tony. Once back in the U.S., the first thing Tony did was eat a cheeseburger.

Ethan said his children loved it, too, but sadly, in Kumira, such food was a rare luxury.

Qin Xiao was deeply moved by the scene.

Tony Stark, foul-mouthed and arrogant, always quietly kept the needs of others in mind.

After Rhodes was injured, he had modified Spider-Man's suit with a parachute for Happy's favorite TV show…

Even when Qin Xiao recently visited, he noticed that Tony, while outwardly dismissive of Qin Xiao, was secretly tweaking the smart-home programming to make it more comfortable, even adding Chinese characters for convenience.

Ukoda, a town roughly fifty kilometers from Kumira, had recently been targeted by the bald-headed leader of the Ten Rings terrorists.

Of course, this was information provided by the young guide who led Qin Xiao and Tony.

"Sir! Can I come with you? Give me a weapon—I want to avenge my family and friends!"

Before sending them to the plane, the young man said this.

"Stay here. Take care of the elders and restore your hometown."

Qin Xiao patted his shoulder, and together with Tony, they left Ethan's hometown.

Previously, news reports described the road to Kumira as a path to hell. Now, that title clearly belonged to Ukoda.

Outside the town, the road was littered with corpses.

Most had been shot in the back, likely to give terrorists easy targets for killing from behind during their escape.

Among the victims were young people, women, and even children as young as thirteen or fourteen.

Worst of all was a little girl of about five or six.

The force of a rifle had torn through her thigh.

She fell to the ground, staring into the distance with eyes full of terror.

The gaping, bloody wound on her leg had begun to pale.

A long, irregular trail of blood stretched behind her.

Qin Xiao could vividly picture the scene in his mind. Perhaps her parents had been shot in the town.

As she lay dying, she had tried to warn her daughter to run—but the terrorists shot her in the thigh from behind.

The little girl dragged herself along the ground for a long time, finally succumbing to blood loss.

"I don't know what you believe in," Qin Xiao whispered, kneeling, "but I believe in heaven, where you will be reunited with your parents and never face such tragedy again."

He gently closed the little girl's eyes.

Her eyes would remain closed forever, but the image was permanently etched in Qin Xiao's mind—unshakeable.

Gunfire and cries for help sporadically echoed through the town.

Qin Xiao and Tony exchanged a glance.

Tony's armored mask closed, and Qin Xiao kicked the ground hard.

Like lightning, they darted across the town toward the outskirts.

On the road leading out, a boy of thirteen or fourteen stumbled along.

His father, shot in the thigh, dragged a leg and desperately ran behind him, shouting for him to move faster.

A terrorist, ten meters behind, had a rifle trained, aiming at the father's other leg to break it, intending to finish the boy in front—subjecting the man to both physical and mental torment.

The Kumira massacre had fully unleashed the demons within these terrorists.

Their methods had grown increasingly cruel and bloodthirsty in recent days.

The terrorist's fingers tightened on the trigger, a sinister smile on his face.

Whizz!

A small missile fired from the sky, blowing the terrorist to pieces.

A golden-red figure flashed through the air.

Another terrorist in a nearby house heard the explosion.

She was holding earrings, bracelets, and other jewelry.

For a moment, she didn't react—then saw the destruction on the ground, completely unsure what had just happened.

On the dirt road, Qin Xiao saw a figure, covered in dust, charging in like a massive dragon.

The terrorists didn't even have time to raise their weapons.

Qin Xiao struck with full force—a single, crushing punch to the face.

The blow landed like a hammer smashing a watermelon.

The skull shattered, and brain matter splattered across Qin Xiao's face.
