They surrounded the blood shield but gave it a lot of space. I watched as Litha's mana began to melt through. The shield shuddered again, and it turned to liquid and rose, gathering together above Kaidos.
"I have a question to ask you, Kaidos." I narrowed my eyes as my red eyes locked on him. "Why are you after me? I don't know you or have anything to do with you."
Kaidos smirked. "You don't do anything to me and I don't give a fuck about you. But unfortunately, you brought someone's attention to yourself."
"What?"
"The Chaos Cult. You stole someone's pet, and they want it back. That person has also sold you to my master, so I'm here to deliver the goods. No hard feelings." He shrugged.
My eyes got darker and darker the more Kaidos spoke and I fought myself to remain calm. "So this is still about that damned cult. After I thought we've left that shit behind us, they popped up like annoying cockroaches."
