Chapter 7 - CHAPTER:7 WHEN SECRET SPEAKS

Sarina's POV

My heart was still racing.

The air around me hadn't completely settled yet—tiny sparks of light faded slowly, as if my power didn't want to let go. I stood there, breathing hard, my hands trembling at my sides.

They knew.

All four of them stood in front of me.

Jordan. Leo. Ethan. Lukas.

They didn't look scared. They looked… stunned. Like a truth they had always felt was suddenly standing right in front of them.

Luna stood a little behind me, silent, watching everything.

Before anyone could speak—

"SARINA!"

I froze.

Footsteps. Fast. Panicked.

I turned just in time to see Aria and Evan running toward us from the street, their faces full of worry.

"What's happening?" Aria asked, breathless.

"We saw the light," Evan added. "And the sky changed!"

My heart dropped.

I rushed to them and knelt, placing my hands on their shoulders. "You shouldn't be here," I said gently. "It's dangerous."

Aria looked past me—straight at the boys—then back at me.

"Sarina…" she whispered. "Are you Lumina again?"

Again.

So they really did know.

"Yes," I admitted softly. "I am."

Evan's eyes widened. "The one who gives powers?"

The silence that followed was heavy.

Jordan broke it first.

"We know," he said. "We've always known… not clearly. But we felt it. The day our powers awakened—there was light. Your light."

Leo nodded. "It wasn't random. It was you."

Ethan looked straight at me. "You gave us our powers, didn't you?"

My chest tightened. I stood up slowly. "Yes. I did."

No one shouted.

No one stepped back.

Instead—

"Why us?" Jordan asked.

"Why didn't you tell us earlier?" Leo added.

"Was it dangerous?" Ethan asked.

"And are there more monsters coming?" Jordan said quickly.

Questions poured in, one after another, overlapping, confused—but not angry.

"I didn't tell you because I wanted you to live normal lives," I said. "I never meant for you to fight. I just wanted you to be safe."

Lukas hadn't said anything yet.

He was just watching me.

Finally, he stepped closer.

"Sarina," he said quietly, "look at me."

I did.

His eyes were steady, warm—not burning like his fire, but calm. Reassuring.

"You didn't steal our choices," he said. "You gave us strength. And you trusted us enough to choose us."

He reached out, hesitating for a second, then gently took my hand.

The touch grounded me.

"You don't have to carry this alone anymore," he added softly.

My heart skipped.

I squeezed his hand without realizing it. "Lukas… I was scared you'd see me differently."

He smiled—small, honest.

"I do," he said. "I see someone braver than all of us."

Heat rushed to my cheeks.

Jordan smirked. "Wow. So Lumina and fire boy?"

"Jordan," I warned.

Aria giggled. Evan smiled.

For a moment, everything felt… normal.

Then Luna stepped forward.

"This moment won't last long," she said. "The darkness has noticed you all."

The sky shifted again—clouds rolling unnaturally.

Leo swallowed. "So this is just the beginning."

I felt the light inside me rise—stronger, steadier.

"Yes," I said. "But this time…"

I looked at them. At my friends. At my siblings. At Lukas.

"…we face it together."

Lukas tightened his grip on my hand.

"Always," he said.

And for the first time since becoming Lumina, I believed it
