"Aldric Brightblade – the blessed hero – has killed demons using blessed sword and divine favor. Lord Damien has killed demons using shadow magic and dark powers. Both protect the kingdom. Both serve good. Why is one righteous and the other corrupted? Because one looks holy and the other doesn't?"
She turned back to Aldous. "You speak of humility, High Priest. But you lack the humility to admit that maybe – just maybe – the Goddess is bigger than your narrow interpretations. That holiness can look different than you've defined. That serving Her doesn't mean serving you."
