Everyone was finally taking a dip in the hot springs. After a long day of traveling on a bus and through golem infested woods, class 1-A was relieved to kick back and relax.
The boys and girls had their own bath, separated by a big wall.
The boys were just relaxing, when they heard the slide door open. They went and saw who it was, and could only stare in amazement.
Sam walked into the spring, ready to relax a bit.
Once he got in, he sighed in relief.
"That hits the spot."
He said with a satisfied expression.
The other boys were looking closely at Sam, mainly at his scars. They all caught a glimpse of them at the pool, but now they can see them up close. And what they saw amazed them.
Sam felt their curious eyes and opened one of his.
He saw them all gawking at him.
"What?"
Sam asked.
That startled the boys, and they scrambled to come up with something to say.
"We're looking at your fucked up scars."
Bakugo flat out said.
The boys looked at Bakugo like he was insane.
They expected Sam to be somewhat offended or at least uncomfortable enough to leave.
But to their surprise, Sam chuckled.
"Yeah. They're pretty bad."
Sam admitted to the others.
"So, how did you get those scars? The claw scars, I mean?"
Sero straight up asked.
"Dude! You can't just go ask that!"
Kirishima chided Sero for potentially triggering Sam.
However, they are all shocked by his response.
"It's alright, I don't mind."
The boys look at Sam with shock for a moment, which then becomes relief that he won't have a meltdown.
Sam looked at Sero and showed him some of the claw and bite marks all over his body.
"Due to circumstances, I was in a forest in Rwanda. I got careless and failed to realize I was being hunted. One minute I'm looking around the place, the next I have a giant Leopard on my back, biting into my shoulder."
The boys look shocked beyond belief.
"No way!"
Kirishima said with stars in his eyes.
"That's so manly!"
Sam rolled his eyes.
"It hurt bad. I had to fight off a giant Leopard and it was a cruel bastard too. It circled me and played with me. That was its mistake because I tricked the fucker and put my knife in his neck. It clawed at me while it was dying and got my face really good."
The boys looked at Sam like he was some 80's action movie star.
"So damn manly!"
Kirishima declared with tears in his eyes.
The others, Bakugo included, felt even more admiration for Sam.
"That's cool and all, but I have something important to see to."
Mineta interrupted their thoughts and got out of the bath.
"They think this wall can stop me? Hehe. I hope they never learn from their mistakes."
Mineta uses his sticky balls to climb up the wall.
Sam sighed. Already understanding his intentions.
"You're to stop this madness at once, Mineta! What you're doing is demeaning for both the girls and yourself! Sinful behavior!"
Iida tried to get Mineta to stop and flailed his limbs like a robot.
Sam just watched, curious as to what Aizawa did to prevent this.
'There is no way Aizawa would allow this shit.'
Sam was given an answer when he saw Kouta use a stick to bonk Mineta on the head.
This sends Mineta plummeting… right into Iida's face.
"Oof."
Sam winced, feeling pity for Iida getting a face full of Mineta's ass.
"Before you learn to be a hero, you should learn to be a decent human."
Kouta said, looking down on the boys.
"Thanks Kouta!"
Mina cheered as the other girls condemned Mineta.
Kouta looked down at the girls by accident and caught a glimpse of them in the bath.
This caused Kouta to freak out and collapse. But much to Sam's horror, he collapsed off the side of the wall, right towards them.
"No!"
Sam shot up and was ready to catch the kid.
Luckily, he didn't need to.
"Look out!"
Midoriya saved the day and jumped up and grabbed Kouta before he could hurt himself.
Sam sighed in relief.
He sat back down in the bath.
"How is he?"
Sam asked Midoriya who was cradling the boy.
"He seems to have passed out…"
Midoriya said, not hiding his concern.
He decided to carry him out of the hot spring, back to his guardians.
Sam sighed, relieved the kid wasn't a goner.
Suddenly, another memory came to him.
It was slightly embarrassing, but still a cherished memory.
During especially hot days, Zola would bring him to their spot and they would swim in the lake.
However, Zola was a free spirit, and had no qualms about showing off her body. Meaning, she just stripped bare and jumped into the lake, all the time.
Sam smiled at that memory.
But that smile was short lived, remembering that it was only a memory.
He sighed.
"Well, I'm getting out."
He wrapped himself in a towel and left the other boys.
On his way out, he caught Midoriya speaking to Mandalay, beside a knocked out Kouta.
"How is he?"
Sam interjected.
They both turn around.
Izuku is shocked to see Sam.
Mandalay, however, felt her face heat up, seeing the shredded muscles of Sam, still wet from the hot spring.
"G-get dressed!"
She demanded, flustered.
Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Why? I'm just checking on the squirt."
"H-he is okay. He just passed out and will be fine after resting."
Sam nodded.
He walked past them both and went back to the sleeping quarters.
Mandalay watched him go.
Despite herself, her gaze lingered — on the broad lines of his back, the scars tracing muscle and bone, the quiet confidence in the way he moved.
She looked away quickly, clearing her throat.
'…He's dangerous.'
She thought.
'In more ways than one.'
