Chapter 69 - Chapter 65 — Child’s Play

They were all outside the school, about to take off for the camp.

"Now that your first semester is finished, it's time for summer vacation to begin. But don't think it will be relaxing. We will push you beyond your limits."

Aizawa clarified, ruining the mood once again.

"You all must go beyond your limits. Aim to become plus ultra."

Aizawa tried to pump them up again.

""Yes sir!""

The students replied in sync.

With that, they were all ready to go.

"I'm so psyched! I've been looking forward to this camp all semester, Deku!"

Uraraka cheerfully chirped at Izuku.

Midoriya swiftly becomes red in the face.

But so does she.

Sam finds it amusing, reminding him of his days before he started dating Zola. How afraid they were of confessing.

In the end, only Zola had the cojones to just flat out declare her attraction to him.

Sam feels wistful just remembering that.

He is brought out of his thoughts by an obnoxious brat that Sam came to hate.

"I heard some of class 1-A are taking extra courses! Does that mean they actually failed the final exam?!?"

'Oh for fucks sake. Not this little twat.'

Monoma, from class 1-B showed up out of nowhere and started berating all of the class.

"That would be so embarrassing! Aren't you supposed to be better than us?!? You must be wallowing in shame!"

"If he doesn't shut his yap, I'm stabbing him in the throat."

Sam flat out said, spooking his classmates and even stopping Monoma.

Before anyone could respond, Monoma is knocked out by a giant hand.

"Sorry about him."

Sam sees that Kendo from class 1-B and the rest of her class showed up. She does a polite bow expressing her apologies for her friend's idiocy.

"Oh! Class 1-B!"

Midoriya exclaimed with a happy smile.

"Hey! It's good to see you outside the festival! I guess that means we aren't rivals anymore!"

A green haired girl grinned while saying that.

"It's time to get on the bus!"

Kendo yells to the rest of her class.

""Hai!""

"The girls of class 1-A and 1-B?!? It's like a buffet of bombshells!!"

Mineta interrupts as they watched class 1-B depart.

Sam, once again, tries to keep his cool around the little fuck.

'I can tell this camp is gonna be a trainwreck.'

Sam had a really bad feeling.

"Class 1-A! Our bus has arrived! Line up in seating order!"

Iida gets into his class rep mode right away.

Sam ignored it and just got on first, taking his seat.

Everyone else followed.

"We'll be on the bus for about an hour before our first stop. Stay focused."

Aizawa warned.

However, nobody listened as Kaminari shouts out to everyone.

"Let's blast some music!"

Iida then starts scolding everyone for doing minute things that Sam couldn't care less about. He decided to just close his eyes and think.

———

Sam was currently sitting on a bus, surrounded by his classmates, who were as energetic as always.

He was looking out the window, thinking about Rumi.

Before he left, he spent a full day sparring with her. Recovery Girl nearly strangled him because of the beat up state he was in.

He looks down at his phone and sees that Rumi sent him another text.

Rumi made Sam promise to stay in contact while there, or else she would "kick his head in."

Sometimes, Sam questions whether she is a hero or still that vigilante she told him she was.

Sam ignores all the yammering of his classmates, not caring about their talks.

After a while, though, the bus comes to a stop.

"Huh?"

Sam was looking out the window and noticed that they are still on the road.

'Is there something wrong? No. Aizawa isn't freaking out.'

Mineta is freaking out about pissing himself, and Kaminari is bitching about getting off.

"This isn't a rest area…"

Sero points out.

"No… also, where is 1-B?"

Jiro asks.

"You didn't think we stopped so you could stretch your legs, did you?"

Aizawa sadistically asks them.

Mineta goes to plead about taking a leak, but is interrupted by new arrivals.

"Heya Eraser!"

A chipper voice greets.

'Who the fuck are these guys?'

Sam is stunned when he sees the new arrivals.

"Long time no see."

Aizawa says, still showing no emotion.

Before them, were two heroes a kid who looked pissed. The heroes were both girls dressed in cat clothes. One was blonde and the other was brunette.

"Your feline fantasies are here! Say meow!"

The brunette says with a pose.

"Purr-fectly cute cat-like girls!"

The blonde says with a pose of her own.

"You can call us…"

They both say.

"The Wild Wild Pussycats!"

They both exclaimed with joy.

Sam was stunned.

'Why the fuck are these cat-girls here? I knew this was going to be a disaster… although that little act was kinda cute.

…What the fuck is wrong with me?'

Sam was about to have another mental breakdown.

He is interrupted by Midoriya pissing off the blonde cat for basically calling her old.

"Everyone say hello."

Aizawa demands his students.

""Hello!""

They greet at the same time.

Sam ignores them, looking away to hide his blushing face of embarrassment.

"We own this big stretch of land out here. Everything you can see! The summer camp you are staying at is at the base of the mountain."

The brunette explains, and Sam has an idea of what's coming.

""That far?!?""

The class complained at the same time.

'Well, this should be interesting.'

"Uh… then why did we stop here?" Uraraka asks.

"Obviously you're walking there. Have fun."

Sam says as he walks away from them, standing near Aizawa.

"Ehehehe… get back on the bus!"

Sero nervously laughs as he turns to the bus.

"Good idea!"

Kaminari agrees, quickly getting trying to get back to the bus.

"It's 9:30 in the morning. If you're fast you might make it before noon!"

The brunette mischievously states.

The students begin to panic and start trying to run away.

"Kitties who don't make it by 12 get no lunch!"

She gives them an ultimatum as well.

"You should have guessed, the training already started."

Aizawa says, obviously enjoying himself.

Blondie slams her hand on the ground and suddenly a large part of the ground is destroyed, causing a landslide that brings the students hurdling down.

"Damn. You guys are enjoying this way too much."

Sam walks over to the missing large chunk of land that once held the students, and looks down at the area where they fell.

He sees they are okay. Except Mineta who pissed himself.

"Uhh… why is he still here?"

The blonde asks Eraserhead.

"He is exempt from hero training."

Sam turns towards the two heroes who gasp when they see his face.

The pissed little boy also looks shocked, but also looks at him with some begrudging respect for a moment before returning to his pissed face.

"That's…"

Sam interrupted the blonde.

"Obviously, they aren't taking a walk through the forest. What do you have in there? Wolves? Bears? Nah. Heroes are too pansy to train them with such brutal methods."

The two cat ladies are still shocked seeing the infamous Samuel Suzuki.

Aizawa sighs.

"Pixie bobs quirk lets her manipulate the earth. She also creates earth golems."

Aizawa clarifies.

"So they are running through a forest full of golems, trying to reach the base of the mountain.

…Not bad."

Sam was impressed. But it was still nothing compared to his training, since he was sure they were not in mortal danger.

"Well, let's go. You coming with us, Suzuki?"

Aizawa asks, trying to confirm Sam's intentions for this exercise.

"Nah. This seems interesting. I'll play along."

Aizawa's eyes widened.

"Suzuki, I don't think that's a good idea… you might not be able to mentally handle it."

Aizawa warns.

The two hero girls and the pissed kid look at Sam, waiting for his reply.

Sam just shrugs.

"It's fine. It's nothing compared to the shit I've had to live in. Some puny golems are nothing compared to that fucking thing…"

He whispers that last part to himself, touching his scars on his face.

Sam pauses — just for a breath — feeling Aizawa's eyes on him.

Then he jumps.

Aizawa runs over to the ledge and sees Sam falling, and eventually landing where the others landed.

Sam looks up and sees the concerned Aizawa.

Sam waves his hand, motioning for him to go.

He then looks and sees the confused students who were freaking out after falling.

Sam ignores them and walks away, while they didn't even notice him due to their distress. He immediately senses the golems being made, making surprising him impossible.

"This is child's play."

Sam said to himself as he walked into the forest, ready to use his skill to get to the base before lunch.

Aizawa can only sigh as he sees Sam leave his sights, hoping that Sam won't have another PTSD breakdown.
