Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: The Simple Life is the Real Life

Good times always fly by quickly.

Unknowingly, the sky began to show the pale color of the morning belly, and golden light spilled over the sea of clouds.

The newlyweds reluctantly realized that it was getting late.

Today was an important day for paying respects to Mother with tea.

So, Seiya and Uchiha Mikoto stopped their activities, reluctantly left the bed, bathed, dressed, and headed to Fourth Street.

As for the pierced hole in a certain mountain peak, its discovery by the Cloud-Thunder Gorge Management Committee was a story for later.

...

In the early morning, Megumai sat upright in the main hall of the Tojo residence.

Uchiha Mikoto dutifully served the tea and earnestly called out, "Mother."

Although she was similar in age to Megumai, it didn't affect the clarity and accuracy of her address.

After all, having married Seiya, Megumai was a legitimate elder.

Megumai saw that her daughter-in-law's walk was a bit unnatural, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy.

After nodding and drinking the tea, she immediately had her son help Uchiha Mikoto sit down beside her.

"From now on, we are a family. If Seiya ever wrongs you, tell me, and I will certainly educate him properly!"

"Mm, thank you, Mother."

Uchiha Mikoto obediently responded but paid little mind to the words.

After all, Megumai doted on her son too much; even her polite words only mentioned 'educate' and didn't even dare to say 'punish.'

Fortunately, she had mentally prepared herself before the marriage and wasn't bothered.

It's an inevitable situation in a single-parent family!

"Having not seen you for half a day, Mikoto, you have become even more gentle and captivating."

Megumai praised her sincerely, very satisfied with her son's work.

In just one night, Uchiha Mikoto had gained a few touches of a married woman's charm.

The scent of a wife about her, in her every look and smile, enhanced her appearance significantly and made her especially alluring.

After chatting briefly for a few more minutes, Megumai noticed Uchiha Mikoto's undeniable exhaustion and couldn't help but smile faintly.

A night of wild activity inevitably requires replenishing the lost energy during the day.

Megumai was considerate of her daughter-in-law and had her son help her upstairs to rest.

The villa at Cloud-Thunder Gorge was just the wedding house. The young couple would still live daily in the residence on Fourth Street.

Only for occasional travel, or in the future when they had many wives and daughters filling the house, would they consider living in separate residences as a family.

For now, with just a few people in the family, keeTojo them all together was naturally the best.

Otherwise, if they separated immediately after marriage, Seiya would miss his dear Mother, with whom he shared every moment.

And Megumai would miss her precious son whom she had raised with effort!

When she designed this residence, she focused heavily on her son's post-marital life, particularly emphasizing the privacy of the rooms.

Now, the soundproofing in every room of the house is excellent.

No matter how much noise is made in a room, that next door, above, or below won't hear a sound, effectively avoiding any awkwardness in Seiya's married life.

...

Uchiha Mikoto, feeling worn out, rested her eyes in the room. Seiya kept her company nearby.

After a while, Karin came to visit Mikoto-neesan after the wedding.

Seiya sensed that the two girls wanted to talk privately, so he found an excuse to leave, giving the space to the two women.

Seiya then found Shion, who was painting by the living room's floor-to-ceiling window, and asked about her recent life.

Since bringing her back from the Land of Demons, Seiya had rarely checked in.

After all, he had been very busy in the last few months, first studying the materials to pass his mother's test, then going to Turtle Island for a month of leisure with Yugito sensei, and upon return, rushing to complete various pre-wedding affairs. He had inevitably neglected Shion.

Now that he was free, Seiya, feeling apologetic, chatted with Shion for a good while.

He learned that she and Karin had become friends, visiting many scenic spots in the village with Karin, and her life was not boring.

Only then did he feel relieved.

"After I finish my honeymoon with Mikoto-neesan, I'll take you out of the village to travel."

"No need to rush. Taking a break is fine too," Shion smiled faintly. "Life is very long; we can take it easy."

Seiya nodded slightly, "I'm mainly worried that you'll be bored staying in the village all the time, being new to the place."

Shion smiled sweetly, "Don't worry. When I was in the Land of Demons, I often sat quietly in the palace, watching the flowers bloom and wither in the courtyard, and never felt bored. Now, Karin is here to keep me company. She's very lively, and I don't feel bored at all."

"That's good," Seiya smiled and nodded, feeling quite comforted.

Karin's transformation was undoubtedly very pleasing.

When she first arrived in Kumogakure, Karin was very timid, introverted, and sensitive with low self-esteem.

After being cared for at home for over a year, she finally became a little bolder and livelier.

Her smiles were more frequent, showing the sweet charm a girl should possess.

Thinking about Karin, Seiya momentarily forgot to talk to Shion, and the living room fell into a brief silence.

Shion put down her paintbrush, looked him up and down, then pursed her lips and smiled.

"Tojo-kun, you are vastly different now compared to when you returned to the village."

"Oh? How so?"

"In many ways. The most obvious is how you look at me; it has changed."

"Has it?" Seiya raised an eyebrow, not thinking his gaze had changed; he felt he was looking at her the same way as always!

Shion nodded slightly and elaborated, "Before, when you looked at me, even when I was naked in the bathroom, your eyes wouldn't linger on any part of me for too long. Now, your gaze is very aggressive. It focuses on certain areas, and you look at them quite openly without any avoidance."

Hearing this, Seiya couldn't help but frown.

He immediately checked where his eyes were focused, and indeed, they were on one of Shion's sensitive areas!

Seiya quickly turned his head and apologized.

"I didn't mean to. It's mainly because I've been with women with whom I share intimacy recently, and I got used to looking that way."

Shion smiled sweetly and comforted him, "It's alright. You are my benefactor. It's just a look; why would I blame you?"

"..."

Seiya was speechless and quite embarrassed.

Finally, he managed to blurt out, "You continue painting; I won't disturb you!"

Then, he quickly left.

Shion watched his retreating back, shook her head with a chuckle, and then continued to focus on painting the scene outside the window.

Seiya, on the other hand, went upstairs to his mother's room.

There's only Mother in the world and being with Mother is the most comfortable!

With this thought, Seiya pushed the door open.

However, Megumai's first sentence made him feel utterly helpless.

"Son, was it comfortable with Mikoto last night?"

"What kind of question is that, Mother!"

Megumai smiled, "What's wrong? Is it hard to answer?"

Seiya kept silent.

Megumai raised her eyebrows, speaking the thoughts in his heart for him.

"Son, do you think this is a private matter between husband and wife, and it's inappropriate to discuss it outside?"
