Chapter 91 - Chapter 091: Live to Die

Hearing Seiya's decisive tone, Shion fell silent.

Kurotsuchi glanced at the increasingly bloated purplish-black chakra mass, knowing the situation was critical.

She immediately looked at Seiya and wondered, "Masked man, our only grievance should be my desire to uncover your mask, right?"

"How do I need to compensate you so that you can forgive me and help us seal Moryo?"

Seiya waved his hand and said calmly, "More words are useless. No matter what you do, I will not forgive you!"

If Kurotsuchi were just an ordinary Iwagakure Shinobi, then perhaps it would be fine.

However, she was the Third Tsuchikage's granddaughter.

The Battle of Takamagahara was orchestrated by the Third Tsuchikage himself and resulted in the death of his mother's mother!

A blood feud, passed down through generations.

How could a descendant be generous with an ancestor's resentment and forgive the enemy?

Seiya's mind was made up and could not be swayed.

Seeing that reconciliation was hopeless, Kurotsuchi turned her head to advise Shion, "Don't push yourself anymore. Just leave this place with him."

"What about you?" Shion asked.

Kurotsuchi smiled freely, "To die in the process of executing a mission is a Shinobi's honor. I have long been prepared for it. It's just a shame I couldn't complete the mission and failed the village's reputation."

"No!"

Shion flatly refused.

"I won't abandon you and run away alone!"

"The reason we are in this desperate situation today is because I misjudged Moryo's strength and provided incorrect information! You and Kitsuchi-ojisan fought desperately. How can I survive dishonorably!"

Her tone was resolute and resounding.

Shion showed no intention of retreating.

Kurotsuchi was touched, and her courage surged.

She laughed heartily, "To fight side by side with a good sister until the last moment of life is not a bad way to die! Grandpa said that Shinobis should have the tenacious will of stone. I guess I have it now!"

While laughing, tears glistened in Kurotsuchi's eyes.

"Of course!" Shion smiled, pursing her lips. "To not even fear death, your will is definitely more tenacious than stone!"

As the two spoke, the color of the chakra mass on the altar grew thicker, almost dripping.

The golden light enveloTojo the two girls grew dimmer.

Shion struggled to maintain it, her pretty face devoid of color; Kurotsuchi had almost transmitted all the chakra in her body.

Unfortunately, it changed nothing.

Moryo's soul and body successfully merged, unstoppable!

A chilling aura, inspiring fear, rapidly swept through the cave.

"Hahahahaha!"

"I'm finally out!"

"Damn Priestess!"

"Damn seal!"

"Damn humans!"

"Mere ants cannot contain me!"

Moryo's frenzied voice continuously echoed in the shrine, deafening their ears.

Immediately, a sharp purplish-black spiral of energy fiercely broke through the golden light, which contained the power of the sealing jutsu, and stabbed directly at Shion's head.

"Farewell, Kurotsuchi!"

Shion closed her eyes, a smile on her face, calmly welcoming death.

The fatal threat drew closer.

The bell hanging around her neck shot out beam after beam of dazzling golden light.

The beautiful flower was about to wither right before his eyes.

Seiya finally couldn't bear it.

No matter how much he disliked Kurotsuchi, he couldn't watch a living Priestess be killed by Moryo.

Following his heart, Seiya decisively flashed in front of Shion, blocking the purplish-black spiral.

"Hateful human!"

Moryo roared, condensing more sharp spirals of energy and shooting them out rapidly.

Shion narrowly escaped death.

She opened her eyes in a daze, saw Seiya's back, and was genuinely grateful, "Thank you, passing masked Shinobi!"

At the same time, after the bell shot out the golden light, the red crystal inside turned to dust.

Shion inexplicably felt an invisible shackle being removed from her body, and then a mighty, boundless power surged from within.

The dim golden light surrounding her suddenly regained its brilliance, as solemn and sacred as a pagoda, and destroyed the spirals Moryo had shot out in a devastating manner!

Seiya and Kurotsuchi were both startled.

They instinctively glanced at each other, then quickly averted their eyes.

The ancient sealing jutsu was spontaneously activated.

Rows of ancient, obscure characters flashed in Shion's eyes, and then she faintly uttered, "Seal!"

Her word was law. Innumerable beams of golden light burst forth, illuminating the entire hall as bright as day, completely suppressing Moryo on the altar.

The purplish-black chakra mass visibly faded rapidly.

"This! This!"

Moryo was too shocked to speak. It wanted to fight back with all its might, but it was unable to resist.

The sealing jutsu passed down through generations of the Land of Demons Priestesses was created to seal it.

Absolute restraint, allowing no resistance!

In just a moment, the purplish-black chakra mass completely faded, then dissipated into the air.

The arrogant Moryo was sealed back into the altar.

At the same time, the golden light in the cave slowly condensed into a graceful, charming female figure.

Shion recognized the figure's face and couldn't help but burst into tears, rushing over.

"Mother!"

"My good daughter!"

The ethereal Miroku smiled, her face full of loving kindness, reaching out to stroke Shion's hair.

Although she was a ghost-like image, her movements felt as real and natural as a physical body.

"Mother, I've missed you so much!" Shion clung to her mother, full of dependency, just like when she was a child.

Miroku's eyes flickered, full of tenderness, and she blamed herself, "It's Mother's fault. I couldn't stay to raise you."

"No!" Shion shook her head. "The bell you left behind has always been with me. It also just gave me immense power, helTojo me seal Moryo."

Miroku smiled faintly.

"That was your innate power all along. Before, I was worried that your mind was incomplete and you might easily become a slave to power, so I sealed it in the bell."

"Now, you are willing to sacrifice your life to seal Moryo, truly shouldering the mission of the Priestess! You have grown up and possess a firm character, enough to control this mighty power and become the strongest Priestess in the history of the Land of Demons!"

As she spoke, Miroku's ethereal figure grew fainter, almost transparent.

Tears welled up in Shion's eyes. She stared fixedly at her mother, unwilling to waste a single second of their reunion.

Miroku instructed, "Daughter, remember to seal Moryo tightly, once and for all, and do not let it harm the people of the Land of Demons!"

"After sealing Moryo, live well. You don't have to stay confined to the Land of Demons. Go see the outside world, travel around. I always wanted to go out, but unfortunately, my body was weak..."

"There's little chakra left in the bell. I won't be able to watch over you inside it anymore."

"Daughter, remember to live happily and joyfully. Don't force yourself to do anything..."

"Yes!"

Shion kept nodding, completely unaware that her mother's ethereal figure had already dissipated.

It wasn't until she hadn't heard her mother's voice for a long time that she suddenly came to her senses.

She couldn't help but sob softly, hot tears rolling from her eyes, flowing incessantly.

Seiya and Kurotsuchi stood quietly beside her.
