Chapter 82 - Chapter 082: The Beginning of a Connection with Kurenai and Hinata

🎊🎊Happy New Year 🎊 🎊

Within the formation, Seiya's figure was illusory and stood unmoving.

Hidan swung and chopped dozens of times, only managing to tear the black robe with red clouds to shreds, but not a single bit of Seiya was hurt, let alone drawing blood.

What a strong guy!

Compared to my immortality, this masked man seems even more formidable; he doesn't even get hurt!

Hidan's eyes flashed with surprise. He decisively stopped attacking and asked, "Who are you?"

Seiya did not answer but only drew his sword.

Under the twilight glow, the blade flashed with a chilling light.

Seiya held the Lightning Blade Kiba, his presence sharp.

Hidan was not afraid.

He laughed, "If you want to kill me, go ahead and kill me. I want to die!"

As he spoke, he threw the scythe on the ground, spread his hands, and exposed his chest.

At this time, the penetrating wound on his thigh had already completely healed.

Kurenai and her team were secretly astonished.

The Yugakure rogue Shinobi was happy to mutilate himself and healed quickly, not even needing medical ninjutsu.

And the masked Shinobi was even more outrageous! He was immune to sharp blades and remained unharmed.

His figure was illusory, and they didn't know what strange ninjutsu he was using!

Judging by his height, if he wasn't a dwarf, he should be quite young, perhaps thirteen or fourteen.

Such powerful people had gathered in the small Land of Rivers!

There were two immortal Shinobis in front, and a paper-style Shinobi behind.

An ominous man stood at the restaurant entrance, watching fiercely.

Even if these three Shinobis wearing the same uniform fought and consumed chakra against the Yugakure rogue Shinobi, the situation would still be tricky.

Kurenai's face was solemn, her eyes flickered, and she nervously pondered how to break the deadlock.

Seiya looked at the defenseless Hidan, chuckled, sheathed his sword, and spoke.

"Although you have an immortal body, if your limbs are severed and you have no teammates to help, you can only be slaughtered, enduring pain worse than death."

Hidan narrowed his eyes, raised an eyebrow, and asked suspiciously, "What are you trying to say?"

Seiya reached out his hand to him, "Let me introduce myself, I am Seiya. I'm here only to invite you to join us. Afterward, you will be partnered with a member, ensuring you have no worries."

Hidan heard this, glanced at the clothes of Seiya and Kakuzu, and asked, "What is your belief?"

"No belief. If I must have one, it's to make the Shinobi world feel pain."

"Make the Shinobi world feel pain?"

Hidan repeated the words softly, then couldn't help but nod and laugh.

"Your belief aligns very well with the death I pursue! Hello, my name is Hidan!"

As he spoke, Hidan reached out and shook hands with Seiya.

Kakuzu saw this and walked closer.

"I am your partner. I hope you don't die too easily."

Hidan looked disdainful, "You should save that for someone else. I actually wish someone could kill me."

Kakuzu said coldly, "Arrogant fellow. Maybe one day I'll kill you with my own hands!"

"That would be even better!"

Hidan's eyes showed appreciation, and he grinned, "Although we haven't started partnering yet, I already kind of admire you. I wish danger would shield you always."

Kakuzu was unimpressed, scoffing.

"Can that thing you believe in make money?"

"It should... be able to!"

Hidan was a bit uncertain, then immediately straightened his face and solemnly emphasized, "That is not a 'thing', that is my belief!"

They were hitting it off so quickly right after meeting.

Seiya raised an eyebrow, thinking that Pain's arrangement was quite good.

Kakuzu and Hidan were truly a match made in heaven.

Kurenai felt a chill down her spine.

These two groups of mutually hostile Shinobis had reconciled.

The situation couldn't be worse!

Kurenai felt like she was being watched by daggers, and fine sweat beaded on her forehead.

Seiya glanced at her, interrupting the conversation between the immortal duo.

"Hidan, let these Konoha Shinobis go."

"Then they won't get to experience the pain of death!" Hidan was a little unwilling.

Seiya said, "If a beautiful woman dies, I will feel more pain."

"Wouldn't that be better? Pain is wonderful!" Hidan was intoxicated by his belief.

Seiya shook his head, "For me, others' pain is acceptable; my own pain is not."

Hidan pouted, looking down on such a shallow belief, but still decided to let Kurenai and the others go for the sake of companionship.

"What a pity, a near-complete failure."

Hidan looked at the completed formation on the ground, filled with regret.

Kurenai was secretly alarmed.

These guys were all ruthless characters who didn't follow common sense.

Their conversation was truly terrifying, reeking of evil!

At the same time, Seiya walked up to her.

"I saved you today. How do you plan to repay me?"

Kurenai felt resentful, wanting to reply-if your companion hadn't blocked the way, we would have run away long ago and wouldn't have needed your rescue!

However, the situation was against her.

Kurenai dared not say that, and could only bow and reply, "I am eternally grateful for saving our lives. But I am flustered and at a loss for the moment, I cannot think of how to repay you. Please give me some guidance, sir."

Seiya nodded slightly and asked, "What is your name?"

"Kurenai."

"And the Byakugan girl, what is her name?"

"Hyuga Hinata."

Seiya nodded, noting the names, and said, "I also haven't decided how you should repay me. Why don't you give me a token? When I've thought of it, I'll use the token to find you in Konoha."

Dare to come to Konoha!

Aren't you afraid of not returning!

Kurenai sneered inwardly, immediately untied her headband and handed it over.

"Konoha headbands are all engraved with a unique number. Sir, you may use this headband to find us in the future. Konoha will surely repay even the smallest kindness a hundredfold!"

"Very good!" Seiya took the headband and waved his hand, "You may leave."

Konan heard this, retracted the paper butterflies that filled the air, and cleared the way.

Kurenai did not look back, quickly leading Team 7 away.

Konan walked up to Seiya and reminded him, "They won't be grateful for your kindness, in fact, they will resent you."

"Mhm, I know." Seiya smiled, "I'm not foolish enough to run to Konoha. I probably won't have a chance to meet them again, so I might as well tease them during this last meeting, let them feel aggrieved, and it won't be in vain that I saved their lives."

"..."

Konan was slightly stunned, completely unprepared for Seiya harbouring such a thought.

Seiya turned his head to look at her, "Sister, do you think I have a malicious heart?"

Konan shook her head and smiled gently, "How can saving a life be having a malicious heart? It's just that this way of not asking for reward and deliberately aggravating people is quite novel."

Seiya said, "In the village, I have Mother looking after me; in the organization, I have Konan-neesan looking after me. I lack nothing, so I don't care much about reward. I do things just to please myself."

Konan nodded in agreement, vaguely remembering her first encounter with Megumai and her son.

At that time, she arranged a position for Megumai without expecting anything in return.

Who would have thought that a connection would develop later?
