Chapter 50 - Chapter 050: A New Starting Point

Seiya resolutely accepted the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

Determined to become stronger, he would never give up a powerful Nintaijutsu (Shinobi Body Technique) just because it was difficult to train.

His mother said that no jutsu was inherently strong or weak; only the user made the difference.

For example, Hashirama Senju's Wood Release or Madara Uchiha's Fire Release.

Seiya agreed with his mother's point of view.

However, the two examples cited were legendary figures.

Seiya did not believe that he was currently at that level.

It was better to honestly train powerful jutsu to keep himself safe.

Megumai had no objections; she was only worried that her son would fall into the misconception of looking down on ordinary jutsu, which was why she used extreme examples as a warning.

After the graduation exam, the students officially graduated from the Shinobi Academy.

The Village assigned a Jonin/Chunin instructor to every student.

Seiya's instructor was Yugito Nii.

Ostensibly, this was because of Seiya's excellent performance in the exam, which earned him one-on-one instruction from the perfect Jinchuriki of the Two-Tails.

Regardless of Seiya's performance, Yugito Nii would have been his instructor.

There were two reasons for this.

First, the Nii family and the Hei family had been friends for many years.

Now, with Yugito Nii serving as Seiya's instructor, they gained another layer of teacher-student bond, deepening their relationship.

This could effectively increase Seiya's sense of belonging to Kumogakure.

Second, Seiya was a valuable Uchiha descendant. Kumogakure had to ensure his safety.

Although he was currently protected by [Purification], Megumai's eyes could not last for many years.

Therefore, Kumogakure still needed to assign a master to serve as Seiya's instructor to ensure his safety.

The Fourth Raikage and Killer B, who were the most powerful, could not leave the Village casually.

Aside from these two, Yugito Nii was the strongest Shinobi in the Village and had no urgent duties, making her the most suitable candidate.

Thus, Yugito Nii, teaching for the first time, nervously became Seiya's instructor.

After graduating from the Shinobi Academy, they became genin.

Like most genin, Seiya's daily routine involved studying and training with his instructor and taking on simple missions within the Land of Lightning, such as pulling weeds or finding cats and dogs.

Unlike most genin, Seiya was not desperate to take on missions of a certain difficulty.

The reason was that he had not yet significantly improved himself compared to his time at the Academy.

The "God's Blade" he had used against the Eight-Tails could not be recreated, no matter how hard he tried to recall and imitate it afterward; it was as if it had never existed.

Seiya asked his mother and consulted with Instructor Yugito, and the answer he received was "the ability is still unstable."

After all, he did not possess Water Release Chakra, so the water blade he used could not have been a Water Release jutsu.

Moreover, the sudden, strange extension effect clearly resembled the Shikai of Shinso (God-Killing Spear).

Megumai speculated that Shikai, Bankai, and even all of her special abilities as a Transmigrator had become a Bloodline Limit.

Her son inherited the Shinso Shikai through their bloodline and surpassed her, but unfortunately, its deployment was not stable enough for him to wield it as he pleased.

Seiya accepted his mother's explanation with regret.

Apart from the "God's Blade," Seiya's training in the Lightning Release Chakra Mode was also not going smoothly.

Just as Mabui expected, Seiya's talent was unremarkable.

After more than a month of continuous, day and night training, the results were minimal.

He could only manage to use Lightning Release Chakra to reinforce a section of his muscle tissue about the size of his palm.

But Seiya was not discouraged.

The more difficult the training, the more motivated he became.

After all, his ultimate move, the "God's Blade," was still just a flash of inspiration and couldn't be relied upon in real combat.

For now, he could only place his hopes on the highly effective Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

It was well-known that with the boost from the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, the Third Raikage achieved the ultimate physical strength, possessing the strongest "spear" and "shield," capable of fighting the Eight-Tails in hand-to-hand combat; the Fourth Raikage achieved ultimate speed, second only to Minato Namikaze, who possessed the Flying Thunder God Technique.

With such a magnificent and bright future ahead, how could Seiya not give his all?

A great horse can leap only ten steps, but a slow-witted horse that travels ten times a day can eventually succeed.

If one carves and gives up, even rotten wood cannot be broken; if one carves without ceasing, gold and stone can be engraved.

After more than half a year of arduous training, Seiya was finally able to skillfully utilize Lightning Release Chakra to activate parts of his body, significantly enhancing his physical abilities in real combat.

With this small achievement in his training, Seiya, inevitably, began to look forward to taking on slightly more difficult missions.

Childish tasks like catching cats and dogs could no longer satisfy him, a practitioner of the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

Yugito Nii sought opinions from his family and her leaders.

Megumai naturally agreed. Anyway, with [Purification] as a fallback, her son would be safe no matter what.

It was Yugito Nii, the instructor leading the team, who might be in danger.

The Fourth Raikage had a similar thought and readily agreed to Seiya's request for more challenging missions.

He also improved the team configuration by assigning Samui to be the medical Shinobi accompanying the teacher and student.

Following the Fourth Raikage's instructions, Mabui assigned a Rank B mission to Seiya-to escort a merchant caravan transporting ten carts of medical agents to the capital of the Land of Grass, the city of Suigyoku.

The round trip would take about half a year.

For Seiya, this was a mission trip that would keep him away from home for a long time.

After solemnly bidding farewell to his mother, he, Yugito Nii, and Samui formed a mission squad and escorted the caravan, traveling day and night toward the Land of Grass.

Yugito Nii was Megumai's introducer to Kumogakure and had been a close neighbor and friend of the Hei family for many years.

She had always treated Seiya like an older sister, and their affection was deep since childhood.

After becoming his instructor, Yugito Nii's seniority suddenly increased, and her interactions with Seiya became unavoidably awkward.

Fortunately, after a half-year adjustment period, the two had returned to a natural and comfortable relationship.

Normally, in such a situation, Samui, as a temporary teammate suddenly joining an established small group, might find herself in an awkward position.

However, this was not the case.

This was because the Fourth Raikage had already considered this point.

He always put extra thought into matters concerning Seiya and specifically chose Samui for the squad, who, like Yugito Nii, was closely related to the Hei family.

In this way, with Seiya as the bond, the team's atmosphere was ensured to be harmonious and cooperative.

Samui, twenty-four years old, was Megumai's only disciple. She had been taken in eight years prior and showed considerable talent in medical arts.

After years of diligent training, she was fortunate enough to grasp some of the mysteries of Megumai's Kaido (Restoration Technique) and apply them to medical ninjutsu.

Her medical skills now surpassed those of Asui, the Vice Director of the Shinobi Hospital.

Thus, the team configuration was exceptional-a Jinchuriki, a Sharingan user, and a Medical Jonin-to carry out a Rank B mission. It was like using an ox knife to butcher a chicken.

On a brand new day, outside the gates of Kumogakure.

Everyone was ready to go.

Seiya was quite excited to embark on his first mission of higher difficulty.

With a shout of "Departure," the young man charged headlong into the magnificent world of the shinobi.
