A New Day.

Prison.

Fiona, who had barely slept a wink all night, was up early. She scrubbed herself clean and sat there with wide, bloodshot eyes that looked manic on her pale face, anxiously counting down the seconds until 9:00 AM.

Finally, the clock hit nine.

A guard approached. "Fiona Gallagher. Let's go."

Fiona was buzzing with excitement. She didn't waste a second and followed immediately.

Inside the office, facing the parole board, Fiona sat ramrod straight. Her body and nerves were pulled tight as a wire, her eyes wide and unblinking.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes...

Fiona dialed the sincerity up to eleven. She answered every question dutifully and earnestly.

The hearing ended.

"Fiona Gallagher, I hope we don't meet in a place like this again."

Parole granted.

Fiona was ecstatic. On the walk back to her cell, her feet practically floated off the concrete.

Back in the cell block.

Fiona saw the female inmates who had tormented her over the past few days. Without hesitation, she shot them a look that was equal parts smug and hateful, mouthing the word at each of them: "Bitch!"

That Gallagher spirit really was something.

Back in her cell.

Fiona sat obediently, waiting for the paperwork to clear.

---

Steve had rented a minivan and was driving Lip and the others toward the prison.

Upbeat music blasted inside the car.

Over the music, the five Gallaghers were chirping non-stop.

Steve had a headache, but he couldn't exactly tell them to shut up. He just smoked his cigarette and focused on driving.

"Steve, are you worried Fiona turned into a lesbian in there?" Carl suddenly asked with great interest.

Steve paused for a second, then laughed. "Not worried."

Carl pressed on. "Do you think she, like, ate any pussy in there?"

Steve pictured it. Hot. He grinned. "Maybe."

"Awesome," Carl said, visibly excited.

Debbie couldn't take it anymore and slapped the back of Carl's head. "What the hell goes on in your brain all day?"

"None of your damn business!" Carl shot back without missing a beat.

Debbie raised an eyebrow, ready to hit him again.

Carl saw it coming and wasn't about to let her get a free shot—he wound up to strike first.

Lip and Ian hurriedly intervened to separate them.

The Gallaghers were being their usual chaotic selves.

Steve's headache worsened. He rubbed his forehead, sighed silently, and forced himself to think about something else—an idea he'd been tossing around for a while.

For the past three months, Mrs. Gunderson had taken great care of Debbie, Carl, and Liam.

The kids were fed, clothed, and life had gone on without a hitch.

And the nanny only cost two grand a month...

So, what if the nanny stayed?

Would Fiona finally be free from revolving her entire life around these noisy kids?

Steve wanted to talk to Fiona about this.

It was only two thousand dollars a month. To get away from these kids, Steve was willing to foot the bill... after all, it was just a matter of stealing one extra car.

Steve couldn't help but imagine a life living alone with Fiona, without the burden of these brats...

It would be beautiful.

Hospital.

Dexter sat by Karen's hospital bed.

After a peaceful night's sleep, Karen had mostly recovered. She looked energetic.

"Mr. Ding, what do I do next?" Karen asked with a sinister smile.

Dexter knew exactly what she meant. He didn't answer immediately. Instead, he pulled a thick envelope full of cash from his pocket and handed it to her. "This concludes our current deal."

Karen took the envelope with a giggle and tossed it onto the bedside table. "Thanks."

Dexter nodded, then answered her question. "Do you know how to torture a man until he wishes he were dead?"

Karen thought about it, unsure. "I know a few ways."

Dexter smiled. "Here's the next deal. Do whatever it takes to torment Lip. Drive him crazy. By the end of this semester—so, summer—I'll see what state Lip is in, and then decide how much to pay you."

"Of course, the base pay is twenty thousand dollars. As for how much you ultimately get, that depends on your skills."

Hearing this, Karen's eyes lit up. "No cap?"

Dexter smiled and nodded. "Sky's the limit."

Money meant almost nothing to him in this world.

Dex Restaurant brought in nearly ten grand a day, and the costs were negligible.

Spending a few days' income to ruin that idiot Lip's life?

Worth it. So worth it.

"Deal," Karen said excitedly, full of confidence. Then she asked, "Do you want me to get pregnant again?"

"You decide," Dexter replied casually.

"Okay."

"That's it then. I'm leaving. I've already settled your hospital bill," Dexter had no interest in hanging around, so he stood up.

"Okay, thank you."

Dexter smiled without a word, turned, and left to head back to the restaurant.

Noon.

Steve and the gang arrived outside the prison. They got out of the van, all looking eagerly at the prison gates, waiting anxiously.

Of course, Carl's eagerness and anxiety were different from the others.

Carl's focus was on the prison itself.

"So this is prison!"

"It's huge! Looks awesome!!"

"I really want to live in there!"

"It's full of women, right?"

"Just thinking about it gets me excited!" Carl said, grabbing his crotch.

Debbie couldn't stand it. She snapped, "You're a guy, dumbass! You'd go to a men's prison! And if you go there, you'll get shanked in the ass every day!"

Hearing this.

Carl froze for a second, then snapped back, "Shut up! If anyone's doing the stabbing, it's me! I'm not letting anyone stab me!"

Ian, as a gay man who strictly refused to be the "bottom," nodded in strong agreement. "That's right. Gallagher men only do the stabbing."

Carl gave a wicked grin. "Of course!"

Debbie was speechless. "Ian, what the hell are you talking about???"

Ian smiled. "Carl's destined for prison anyway. Teaching him now isn't a bad thing."

"..." Debbie was about to lose her mind. She turned to Lip for help. "Lip, tell them to stop talking nonsense."

Lip was chain-smoking, one cigarette after another. His mind wasn't here; it was on Karen. Hearing Debbie, he snapped back to reality, forced a smile, and patted Carl's head.

"Carl, enough. Stop talking crap. Prison isn't as fun as you think. You better not end up there."

Carl ignored him, lost in his own fantasy about the happy times he'd have living in prison.

Time ticked by.

About half an hour later.

Pale, haggard, and visibly thinner, Fiona appeared in their line of sight.

Steve and the others instantly smiled.

Fiona sniffled, and a brilliant smile broke across her face.
