Leaving the police station, they got into the car.
"Are we really just leaving like this?" Kevin felt a little guilty.
Dexter started the engine and smiled at Kevin. "They're probably spending the night here. The judge won't be in until Monday, so what's the use of you staying?"
That wasn't entirely accurate.
The truth was, if everything went smoothly with Hernando, and if Fiona and the others pleaded guilty, Debbie and Carl might be released and sent home in an hour or so.
But even so, with Tony the simp there, that was enough.
There really wasn't much point in Kevin staying behind to wait.
Thinking of Tony...
Dexter felt a tiny bit of guilt.
In the original series, Tony eventually got what he wanted and successfully slept with Fiona—in a car, no less. Although he was indirectly driven to become gay by Fiona later on, he at least got laid and enjoyed it once.
Now, because of Dexter's interference...
Tsk, tsk. Poor Tony.
By the way, if he doesn't sleep with her, will he still turn gay later? Dexter couldn't help but be curious.
Kevin was silent for a few seconds, then sighed. "Forget it, let's go back. They brought this on themselves."
Dexter smiled and stepped on the gas. "Don't overthink it. They live their lives like that and don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's not surprising they ended up here."
"I tried to help Fiona before, and you saw the result."
Kevin had indeed seen it. He couldn't help but sigh again. "True. I really don't understand what goes on in Fiona's brain."
Dexter shook his head lightly, too lazy to discuss it further. "Should I drop you home, or at the Alibi?"
Kevin thought for a moment. "Home. I'll go help Veronica. Monica is a handful; Veronica might not be able to handle her alone."
"Are you in a rush?" Dexter checked the time and asked. "I want to stop by the restaurant first to pick up Vivian, save me a trip later."
Kevin grinned. "No rush. Let's go to the restaurant."
Time flew by.
They arrived at the restaurant.
Vivian and Mickey were wiping down tables.
Interestingly, Mandy was there too.
"Mandy, long time no see," Dexter greeted with a smile.
Mandy had changed her style. She was dressed normally, without that strange makeup on her face. She looked much more innocent, giving off a vibe of pure devotion.
Mandy responded with a slightly shy smile. "Mr. Ding, it hasn't been that long. I was just here the day before yesterday."
"Oh? Is that so?" Dexter smiled back. "I guess because a day passed, it felt like a long time."
Hearing this.
Mandy's face instantly lit up with joy.
Mickey's expression changed, and he spoke up decisively. "Dexter! Don't get any ideas about my sister!"
Dexter grinned, about to say he was joking.
Mandy beat him to it, snapping fiercely at Mickey, "Mind your own business!"
Haha.
How interesting.
Dexter shook his head with a smile, didn't get involved, and signaled to Kevin. "Wait a moment."
Ten minutes later.
Vivian and Mickey finished cleaning up.
The lights went out at Dex Restaurant, ending the business day.
Then.
After saying goodbye to Dexter with a brilliant smile, Mandy walked home side-by-side with Mickey, bickering noisily all the way.
Dexter got in the car, drove Kevin and Vivian, and headed toward North Wallace Street.
After dropping Vivian off first, Dexter and Kevin arrived at the Gallagher house.
Unsure if Veronica was inside, Kevin got out and shouted a greeting.
Veronica responded.
"I'll go check on things. Drive safe," Kevin said, turning to Dexter, who hadn't gotten out of the car.
Dexter really couldn't be bothered to go in.
At this moment, neither Monica nor Liam held any interest for him.
"Okay, see you tomorrow."
Leaving those words behind, Dexter left, driving toward the fruit shop to check on the situation there.

Karen's House.
Karen, who had hunted for prey outside and had a quick hookup, had just arrived home.
Seeing her mother, Sheila, diligently taking care of Frank in the wheelchair, Karen shook her head slightly. She greeted Sheila normally, without accusing her or saying she shouldn't be doing this. Then, she told Frank about Fiona and the others being arrested.
After listening, Frank replied with a look of disgust, "Good riddance. Bunch of bastards, cheated me out of my money!"
Karen smiled at that, didn't say anything else, and went straight upstairs. She ducked into the bathroom to do the thing she had been doing every day for the past few days.
Pregnancy test!
It didn't take long.
She saw two lines...
Haha!
Karen was instantly overcome with excitement, her pretty face filled with a joyful smile.
She couldn't help it.
These two lines meant at least fifteen thousand dollars!
Thinking of that money, Karen pulled up her pants and wanted to go find Dexter immediately.
She walked a few steps before realizing it was getting late and Dex Restaurant should be closed. She stopped abruptly, feeling regretful that she didn't have Dexter's mobile number.
"It's fine, going tomorrow is the same!" Karen had to comfort herself. She suppressed her excitement, carefully stored the pregnancy test, and went about her business.
Karen was happy tonight.

Dex Fruit Shop.
Between yesterday and today, they had sold quite a lot of fruit. Although the profit wasn't huge due to the low prices, Svetlana felt quite happy.
After all, on one hand, she was actually making money. On the other hand, she didn't have to give handjobs to those smelly men.
At this moment.
Svetlana was organizing the fruit. She picked out the ones with blemishes or those that looked like they would rot soon, and using the tricks she had learned, hid them in the back, waiting for gullible customers to buy them tomorrow.
Fruit, after all, didn't have a long shelf life.
Svetlana wasn't willing to bear that loss.
As she was working.
A few Mexicans from across the street appeared in Svetlana's field of vision.
Svetlana saw them and let out a cold laugh. Without skipping a beat, she walked unhurriedly a few steps, picked up a brand-new baseball bat, and walked out of the fruit shop with steady, confident steps. She stood at the door, staring directly at the Mexicans opposite her without a hint of fear.
The two sides stared at each other for a few minutes.
The Mexicans, who had indeed intended to cause trouble, moved and slowly walked away.
Svetlana watched them go for a while before turning back into the shop, very annoyed.
There were two reasons for her annoyance.
First, those damn Mexicans.
Second, she couldn't own a gun.
Svetlana had been smuggled in; she was currently an illegal immigrant with no visa and no green card.
Admittedly, in a place like the South Side, getting a gun was extremely simple.
But being undocumented, having a gun was actually more trouble... After all, she couldn't shoot it unless she was sure she wouldn't get caught.
"I must get legal status as soon as possible!"
"Damn it, when I do, just watch me empty the clip and kill every last one of you!"
Svetlana said viciously.
Just as the words left her mouth.
Dexter's Ferrari pulled up to the curb at the entrance.
