The chat scrolled faster than it did when the boss hit peak viewers.
Is this what 23,000 viewers looks like?
And that number kept climbing in real time.
That said, Livvia from BatchuBatchu, who I still check out sometimes, hit 40,000 at her peak, and the chat speed back then didn't feel that different from now.
Boss says it's already impossible to read past 5,000, so yeah, streamers really need hawk eyes.
Maybe FPS pros have an edge.
I waited for the chaotic chat to calm down a bit, then started my self-introduction calmly.
"Somehow ended up getting invited by MovGun as an in-house member today. Nice to meet you all, I'm Employee D from the Parallel operations team."
— Kyaaaaaaa
— Da MovGun
— MovGun pulled this off
— What do I do bro? I'm suddenly starting to like you
— So what's with the character design?
— Debuting?
— Yupppp
— No but that design and voice are perfect match lolololol
— Where's this person's stream?
— So cute
— Debut?
— Dropping a design like this with no teaser ddd
— 1.5th Gen?
— Em Ploy Ee D Em Ploy Ee D Em Ploy Ee D
— What insane design power ddd
"For reference, the illustration was done by 1st Gen's Akari Dora, who graciously took time out of her busy schedule. Boss said it wouldn't do for an official company employee to show up for promo with just voice and no visuals."
The chat was still a mess, but mentioning promo, official, and employee flipped the mood completely.
— Promo?
— What does that mean Employee D
— ???
— It's a debut stream lololol stop lying lololol
— No way?
— Not a debut?
— Ah…
— Doramang heuuung
— Who reveals their design on a promo stream!!!
— Not debuting? You tricked me?
— Stop lyingggg
— Fuuuuwuwuwu
— Lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies
— Gonna report you gonna report you gonna report you
:: Anonymous Sponsor donated 1,000 Clouds! ::
:: lol bet you're debuting anyway everyone knows ::
:: Anonymous Sponsor donated 1,000 Clouds! ::
:: See you again as 1.5th Gen One-D-chan~ ::
I ignored the flood of debut chats and donations that followed.
If you react even once, viewers' minds go straight to 'she's playing coy but totally planning it' and spin their happy delusions.
Best to let bait like that fizzle out on its own—no need to poke the hornet's nest.
As I shut up to signal it was time to move on, MovGun jumped in with perfect timing.
[Alright alright, calm down Parallel fans. Boss from over there passed on a message not to bully Employee D too much since she's here for official promo and in-house participation. Got it?]
— Kkuuuugh
— You again MoMo!
— Free Employee Dddddd
— Dictator MoMo step downnnn
Of course, not everyone's thrilled about my appearance.
— But doesn't he always bring pros?
— M?R special admission from Mong-eo Village or something
— MovGun running out of guests to invite?
Yeah, that's more like it.
Plenty don't know about the signal shot, and MOOVING Crew in-houses are famous for only pros anyway.
Even those in the know just think 'diamond tier tho?'—this place is full of 'em.
All 23 here are Master tier or above, the heavenly realm users.
Maybe that's why MovGun followed up with a proper intro.
[So why'd we bring in Employee D today? In-house battle, obviously. What're our in-houses famous for? Skill-based games. Meaning I dragged a busy worker bee here because I'm expecting big things from her.
So, Employee D. Think you can show your stuff as the only Diamond tier among today's players?]
Straight praise would've been awkward, so he balanced it by throwing in 'Diamond tier.'
I was thinking the same, so no need to correct him...
"Everyone here's a heavenly name I've heard at least once. But you don't know till you play. Gonna show everything I got since I lucked into the invite."
How could I not get hyped showing up in the heavenly users' playground?
They're the elite league you rarely even meet in ranked—their own little world.
But see 'em as totally otherworldly like MoMo or 1st Gen? Nah.
Winning that bet against MovGun opened new horizons for me—figuring out how to beat these guys was fun in itself.
Losing to someone else?
Doesn't matter.
My goal from the start was smashing MovGun's skull.
Personal grudge? Sure, but all for 1st Gen promo.
Down with MovGun. Gonna blow your head clean off in the smoke.
Whether he knew my blade was aimed his way:
MovGun clapped and said,
[Kyaa. Good to hear. So Employee D, company promo now? Or after the in-house ends?]
I glanced at viewer count.
[ (?Live) October Week 4 In-House Battle with a Special Guest ] ?25,132
25,000.
Up 2,000 from 23,000 at start—word was spreading.
:: Anonymous Sponsor donated 1,000 Clouds! ::
:: So is the guy who sniped MovGun 60 hours ago the same as Employee D? ::
And more asking if I was 'MovGunIsAFamousMoMoAnti' who sniped him 60 hours back.
Curiosity still drawing crowds.
News still spreading like wildfire.
'Better to do it later.'
More eyes on MovGun's defeat, the better.
That way '1st Gen 1st Anniversary Song November 5th Release' sticks in more heads.
No way I can't catch him in two rounds?
No stream sniping for fairness, but I scouted his fave maps and drop spots.
"After in-house. Like I said, got Parallel promo news to share. Appreciate you sticking around till then."
Please don't team me with MovGun.
Of course, the world doesn't bend to my whims.
[Team draft time. Eight players left for teams. Looks like the recent underperformers got naturally pushed back. Straight to second phase.]
Even in-house, folks obsessed with winning meant MOOVING Crew always drafted teams.
Eight team leads pick two each: roll dice for order, pick one by one, then reverse for the last.
Obviously, unproven me got lumped with last week's weaklings into second phase...
One, two, three... seven team leads filled their threes.
[Oh dear. How'd this happen? Nice to see you again so soon, Employee D.]
— Lolololol
— Knew it'd end like this
— Called it when you rolled first on dice lolol
— This is gold lol
— At least comfy bus ride?
— VIP escort on
Last spot on MovGun's team, of all things...
[Guess other leads avoided you 'cause unknown skill. But I acknowledge you. Wouldn't have brought you otherwise. Fate threw us together—let's do this?]
— Way sadder when you say it like that!
— She's not holding back from Master on purpose
— You screwed her bro lol
Viewers nailed it—real motivating.
Came to smash your pot!
This ain't right.
Rigged.
MovGun's scheme to thwart my plan.
Dropping the adult mask:
Frankly, all these ex-pros and streamers here.
Combined avg viewers wouldn't top MovGun's current.
Gotta snipe him for max impact, but same team?
Heavens are cruel. Hate seeing Parallel thrive?
'No choice.'
But I wouldn't be here if a curveball meant quitting.
Boss's assignment. My first official promo gig.
Not phoning it in just 'cause situation sucks.
'Only way is first place.'
Gonna wreck everyone else and take first.
That'll cover the broadcast league gap.
Target updated: first place in two rounds, not MovGun pot-smash.
Burning with resolve, I declared boldly.
"MovGun, don't hold me back. Planning to take first today."
